Love this series. Relaxing. Hope the Devs fix the bugs and optimize this and then the steam reviews should go up.
Clapmolter is so intimidating. Enemies' attacks bounce right off him and then he just stares them down until they die of fright.
I mean, imagine if you are the adventurer tho.
You got ambushed by a group of goblin, your friends are dying left and right. You strike one of the goblin with the best attack you got, but they just blocked it nonchalantly while staring at you intently.
Heart attack wont be such a ridiculous thing after all
When you add an enhancment orb or two to your weapon, that's when Mystic Bolts shines. One single attack could leave several enemies bleeding, or stunned, etc. with their respective orb socketed, as each bolt triggers the debuff chance.
We must continue the fight for the series.
Side Note, I've also enjoyed the mystic class since I got there myself

That the combined rooms doesn't fit together on the same floor was surprising and so disheartening, it seems like a conscious choice to not allow that level of room tetris.
If only one could combine the stairwells and make it like IRL stairwells are made.
I figure that Magic Bolts is far better when you've got a boss and no other enemies.

Best party I've had so far is shaman, acolyte, hunter, acolyte, raider, guard. I have 8+'s in all stats and up to 11's with genes. I love love love this game and this series so far!
Curious what you use your Shaman for. I haven’t played the game as much but the Shaman seems pretty weak so far.

We're just witnessing them having their life flash before their eyes, that's why they take a while to die XD
Just my opinion:: With Armor Up, it's necessary for the tank because armor degrades over-time, you start at like 13-14 armor and end up going down to 11 by the time the battle ends. Armor up is a good, fast move to keep you in the front and make you tankier. If you have a retaliate set up, it would be better to armor-up than retaliate again since it will cause the retaliate to do more damage and they're the exact same speed.

It seems like this Mystic class makes for some real quality clean up, honestly. Great damage and excellent self-synergy makes that real easy for them.
Hay Reto just noting something I've noticed in the last videos concerning the Defensive gene. The Armor you get from it goes away after you use an ability (it only works turn 1) while something like Brute or Alert work constantly throughout the fight so it gives a smaller but more consistent bonus. So while Brute or Alert are not the biggest upfront bonus they are for the whole fight, while Defensive is only really useful if the first enemy auto attacks your tank or you use Rattle to take advantage of the armor otherwise you are just buffing with a move like Retaliate or the blocking moves and losing the bonus from the gene so it functionally gives you zero benefit most of the time.
Just hoping this observation helps you out later with seeing what genes you want to give your Goblins.

I also think they need to give out more basic resources as making it 3 levels to get one upgrade is quite a long wait

22:18 Brother, that is either a threequarterling or a twothirdsling. They're almost indistinguishable from each other so confusing them is an honest mistake to make (I can't even tell), but trust me you shouldn't call either of them "a big halfling" unless you're wanting enemies for life. If you want a catch-all term for them I suggest the more socially acceptable "fractionfolk" 🤪
Rattle probably does more damage than bash for you! Keep armor up, so useful.

Just watched the whole series (up to this point) in one day... no regrets
Be me: Buys game. "Hmm. Doesn't seem so hard." Proceeds to lose 3 Goblins in my 2nd excursion after tutorial. "Welp."
To be fair, he also lost goblins early on too. It looks like you start behind the power curve, but at this point he's above it.

Honest feedback: The relaxing vibe is nice with this series, but it gets difficult to keep engaged with it. I genuinely love the premise of the game, the art, and the combat style, but it is slow as a series to watch. I believe the feeling of progression is what feels slow, so from start to finish of an episode, it doesnt feel like you're much further than before. Those big jumps are exciting, but they dont last long. I feel like i would have fun playing the game, but it is not one im finding myself enjoying watching as much as some of your other series.
However, thank you Reto for providing this content. I have been a viewer for quite a few years, though, rarely leave feedback. I will try to improve this.
Agressive as a perk (fury on kill) is very good on acolytes
Also you should try running three of the same unit on a squad it's good memey fun
It seems like Defensive is only at the very beginning, and for the rest of the battle, it goes back to normal. Feels like brute and tough body would be better for a tank.

I really like the shaman, i have him in front and he does the knockback cleave at the start of the fight so that i can front load my dps before the first enemy strikes.

Probably hadn't seen my last comment yet, but brute will get you more out of your guards than defensive. Defensive has only helped when you've been ambushed.

Curious just how many aspects were remnants of the earlier version of the game. For example is the Gourmand gene that allows them to eat all they want also something that used to matter but a recent revision made it useless? Similar to the sneak & reroll mechanic or might it allow them to overeat to gain temp health/other benefits?

I don't wanna spoil myself so I'm not watching much, can anyone tell me? Is this a roguelike where you can do multiple runs? Or is kinda play it for the story once you beat it it's done
