My mk12 absolutely loves this ammo. It’s very consistent and pretty hot. My velocities are consistently higher than yours though. I’m reaching close to 2800 fps consistently with an 18” 1/7 Douglas barrel. That’s with a pretty new Garmin Xero. Like another commenter said, I watch for the sales on Midway and pick some up when I see it.
Been using this for years. Accurate as hell out of all my 16” 1:7 5.56 barrels and shoots under 1”. Dropped everything, never shoulder shots of course. Sniper head/base of skull shots on 600lb Nilgai, many Axis deer and hogs, and does good on varmints.
My supressed Mk12 loves these rounds. Shoots right at 2710 fps with low SD, and 1 MOA. More pep in them than most other commercial heavies out there, but not quite as spicy as Black Hills. When Midway runs them on sale under $0.90/rd I stock up more.
Damn, the muzzle velocity is pretty low compared to what IMI Razor core 77gr OTM used to be. What is the specs of your rifle that you fired them through? Chambering? Barrel length? Twist rate? 16" 1:7 twist out of a 5.56 chamber usually would throw IMI 77gr out at 2700 fps +/- a couple feet per second, but they were usually consistently around 2700 fps out of a 16" barrel. Ive even seen some batches of IMI 77gr Razor Core getting 2800 fps through a 16" barrel. Thats disheartening seeing that they are starting to slowly under load their ammo. Their higher muzzle velocity is one of the reasons i ended up stocking up on around 7,000rds this ammo over the past year and a half.
@@TheHide thanks for making that video, it was your video that sold me on those, I love those small little groups, and those have better ballistics in my opinion. its good round!!
Yeah im in the process of trying to figure this rifle out and get it to lock back. Ive never had so much trouble getting one to do it. I got a new gas block an tube I'm going to be putting on and if that don't work gonna try a different BCG. Thanks for watching
I've had nothing but trouble from IMI 5.56 55 grain ammunition. Blown primers and cartridges rammed so far forward that the bullet lodged in the rifling necessitating a "pogo" maneuver OR a cleaning rod to dislodge the bullet and cartridge from the chamber. I returned the ammo to my local PD and they issued me a letter. I sent the letter to IMI AND Cabela's..Cabela's issued me a refund and IMI sent me replacement ammunition. With the replacement ammo, same story, blown primers, etc. I've fired ammo from 3 different manufactures, 5.56 and .233 ( I have a Wylde chamber) with no trouble..No more IMI for me!!
This was the first time I shot the 77gr stuff. Granted it could shoot better with a better gun and shooter I have no doubt. However, this is what I ended up. I agree about the 55gr stuff, I didn't have very good luck with it either. Thanks for watching.
The 223 Wylde chamber would be your problem. Blown primers is typically from a undersized chamber. You can google it. Your chamber is probably slightly out of spec for 556.
@@SunDriedFetus Hey! Thanks for giving me more food for thought. The thing is I've shot hundreds of 5.56 cartridges in this rifle from about 6 different manufactures and ONLY the IMR ammunition caused problems....
@dv280salto7 what barrel is in your gun? Just out of curiosity. And did you order a tightly headspaced bolt with said barrel, or check headspace? I've had great results particularly velocity wise out of IMI 55 (3,050 FPS average from a 13.9" barrel) but as with most M193 it wasn't super accurate at about 1.5 inches to 2 inches. The ammo is definitely on the hot side though. Not the hottest I've shot out of this build but it's top 3 for sure. The Razorcore 77's shot 0.6 MOA and chrono'd 2,747 out of the same gun as well. It's a Criterion Core series 13.9" with a headspaced BCM bolt. The rest of the upper is all off the shelf BCM components. Scope was a cheapo 1-8 SLx. It has a touch more potential im sure but for a fighting rifle/load combo that is phenomenal especially since the gun lives with an aimpoint T2 on it anyway aside from testing groups. The only issue I've ever had with the 223wylde chamber is a stuck tulammo steel casing. 🤷♂️
One thought it looks like a shotgun. Definitely not a hunting rifle for Varmints. Thing about an AR there an ammo burner 🔥. My 10/22 shoots like that at 100yards. Not complaining about your post video I’d be all over it if ammo was in my budget. Following from my armchair.😊😊

Nice video, love to see these razor core out of a 20 inch barrel and chronographer

Are they staking the primers as they had a big problem with them popping out. And causing jams
For some reason both my 16'' do not like 77 razor core or 77 black hills . Did get 1inch groups with DD10.5 and a Geissele 11.5.
Interesting... Yeah sometimes a rifle just doesn't shoot an ammo well. This is one of them I guess lol. Appreciate ya watching.
was your point of aim the center? if so, this means those 77 grainers are flying up and over left slightly @ 110 yards? is that a fair assessment?
Yes center POA. They were not zeroed for this video. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the test. I would like to see a test with the Liberty civil defense 223 ammo. If you have not done that already. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'll have to look into getting some, thanks for watching!!
IMI ammo is very solid
What twist barrel? Maybe I missed it!
1/7 on this one. Thanks for watching
Good video 👍
Love your intro 😂
Lol thanks for watching
Completely unscientific...works for me to give them a try down the road. Be nice to get a hold of some. Thanks for doing this range paper test.
Ha ha thanks for watching buddy
Did you Bore sight ??
No, thanks for watching
zero it in it will work just fine any AR
2681 minus 2618 = 63
You might need some new gas rings.

good close group now zero it in
Yes please
Only for testing.. No need to zero as I'm not going to zero for POA for each load lol. Thanks for watching

Get a 5.55 chamber.
