    Hi Jon, theres hundreds of thousands of bikes out there with post mount disc brakes such as TRP Spyres or TRP HY/RD. Now that Shimano has brought out Tiagra 4720 Hydraulic Shifters, upgrading these to hydraulic is quite a cheap upgrade. HOWEVER... they only bundle them with the flat mount standard! Seems like a massive oversight, as loads of people with post mount brakes will miss out. However, you can buy them seperately.... so....... can you do a video upgrading to Tiagra 4720 hydraulic and matching it up to some kind of post mount hydraulic calliper, and what hoses, etc you need and how to do it? I bet tons and tons of people will want to do that upgrade. It might even convince Shimano to bring out a "post mount" upgrade kit! Cheers Jon!

    • @zarppy
      @zarppy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Based on the previous GCN video, a pro mechanic says it's essentially because the heat build up when descending and brake at speed Using glue it shouldn't be a problem, while pros would risk there life with the tub tape.

    • @annecormac871
      @annecormac871 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there is no lip for a tubular tyre to stick to, it is essentially a rounded surface the tyre is mounted on. Pressure keeps it in place generally but you really want the glue and don't even ask what happens when you puncture and the try to corner. No pressure means it rolls off the rim, you only have the glue to rely on
