Just drove a rented Taurus limited from Los Angeles to Chicago to Houston Got 29mpg and the car was fine. Had the Nav system in it too and that worked fine, the thing I like about this car is that it seats the driver up higher than say a Camry, its more like an SUV but a sedan of course, I like the trunk space too. I'm not a fan of SUV's.(personal choice) The car had the 288 hp engine 6cyl. and had more than enough power on the highway. Car had 20 inch rims. Really like it, handled fine on the turns through the Phoenix and such freeways.
This review is making me want one too. I also wish that large cars were more popular too. After Toyota disconnected the Avalon I'm hopeless that large cars will make a comeback.
OOver the years we have owned four Taurus's a 90 a 2000 a2004, which was hit by a semi, and present 2008 Limited AWD, Bought it for the sedan with AWD, live where we have four months of winter and the AWD is fantastic. All cars have been excellant cars with 100,000 miles on all but the 08. 84,000 and NO problems with any of them..great family car and yes we are older and love the leather and AWD great handling car and great on the hiway as well as around our small town..also have owned four Ford rangers goin back to when they first came out.an 88 botttom of the line 4 cylinder 5 speed went 185,000 miles with ony timing belt and tires.used for a commute present is the 01 4.V6 5 sp auto my retirement present to my self 48,000 no problems...all good vehicles...have NEVER owned a foreign vehicle and NEVER will..
Lolol, it isn't the early 1980s anymore. I figured if I posted on several of your threads you'd reveal yourself to be a nationalistic twat. Normally I'd not think anything of somebody who wanted to buy American cars only. Whatever, that's your prerogative. However, 90% of your posts are xenophobic bile so now you get to deal with the backlash. Oh, and weren't you going on about how the Camry was an American car because it is built here on another thread?
Phantom FM We are retired and do not drive that much and the Taurus serves us quite nicely, really appreciate the ALL WHEEL DRIVE in a full size sedan, we have had snow and Ice for a full month now and looking towards at least two more months. My Bro in law has a Camry and I would NOT have that piece up my ass !! nothing special but cheap cheap transportation !!!!
What an ignoramus. The mid-size Camry already beats the "full-size" Taurus in interior legroom. Headroom is admittedly lesser, but it is still mid-size after all. Quality is definitely higher on the current and previous generation Camry than any Taurus, but go back just a few generations and Toyota had some serious cost cutting going on. The Camry is objectively a more reliable vehicle because everything is tried and true, and resale is phenomenal. But why are we talking Camry? The Taurus competes with the Avalon, which absolutely obliterates the Taurus on all fronts, except AWD. If AWD is a must-have, then yes, the Taurus is one of the few vehicles that offers it in the class. I hate to break this to you as well, but Toyota builds more vehicles, owns more factories, and employs more people in the USA than Ford does, and Toyota contributes more to our economy, despite being Japanese-based, than Ford today. The Avalon, Impala, and Taurus are part of a dying breed of full-size non-luxury vehicles, and the Avalon is the objectively best overall vehicle in the class.
I had my 2015 2.0L for a few years, zero problems. I really enjoyed that car but it was a front wheel drive and we have winter. Put nearly 50k miles on it before trading it in. I now own a 2022 Kia Stinger 2.5L, which is tighter fit in the cabin but very comfy and it has a bigger trunk space due to the hatch. The Stinger is way more fun to drive and AWD instead of front wheel, which helps greatly in winter.
I love my 2013 limited ford Taurus . If I have ever have that chance to park next to a Toyota Camry I will take it . it just pumps me up. The streets are not flooded with Ford Taurus cars ,but that's ok. I have had my fair share of people out there when asked what type of car do you think I am driving ? they just looked confused . I am tell them its an American car and I will buy another one . It kills me how anyone could have any complaints about the Taurus .I am 6-2 250 lbs . If you think a Camry is more comfortable than my ford I will sell you my skate board and tell you its made by Toyota
I have one of these in the limited addition and I really enjoy the car it drives really well I love the trunk it’s got plenty of options and it’s definitely better looking Taurus than the previous years
the Toyota, Chevy and Chrysler were NO competition - the Taurus is the best looking, most dependable and most beautiful. Wish it was still made. Absolutely ADORE mine!

Traded my 2011 Lincoln mkZ in for a 2016 Taurus and couldn't be happier. Bigger car with alot more tech. Everyone loves the ruby red color. Only complaints I have is the raised back seats fill like your in theater seating which makes it hard for any back passengers to see out the front window and the garage door button isn't standard like most cars.

I have had a Taurus Limited and it was quite good at first but repair cost are very high: 80k miles: Failure in Electrica; Steering while at highway speeds. Luckily so accident or injury but $3000 in repairs. 110k miles: Water Pump failure. $2000 and 3 weeks in repair cost 120k miles: Fuel Pump failure. Failed on a long distance trip. Best car I have owned, '14 Limited Plus with everything. The car drives like a luxury Lincoln. About interior feeling tight, that's BS go test one you will easily want this over any other full sizer out there.

@@BruceTheSillyGoose I’ve driven both and choose the Taurus. Taurus is one of the smoothest cars I’ve ever been in. Reminds me of the way suvs ride and glide over bumps. Maybe cause it’s so big
Any advice for this car i recently test drove one it was pretty good not as bad visibility or crampiness but could be better I’m considering getting this car I have other options either this the five hundred or the 2008-09 Taurus
you know the shape of the grill is the same as sho. you can buy a sho grill unsnap the old one and put in the sho grill for better look without spending the extra money on a car with over heating trouble. the turbos over heat. i hear a lot of them do and people on craigs list sell them because of it. they go out of the f150's to. someone said it took $12.000 for him to fix his and only had 34'000 miles on it. so yeah i would rather go with the sel anyday. besides if you put a cool air intake and a smart ship in the sel it will up the torqu by about 10-15 and HP around 60-70. it will give it 3-5 mpg better if you drive it normal but worse then normal if you floor it but with better acceleration. also save up for sho wheels if you want them. boom. it won't be as fast but it will be 0-60 in about 5.9 to 6.1 witch is better then 6.7 to 6.9 yet it will still use less game then the sho witch is 0-60 in 5.1 sec
Any new viewers out there? I think this guy is a time traveler. Why would the title say it was from 2015 but the video was posted in 2013. I get if it was uploaded later than 2015 but this is opposite
The Avalon is nice but I just can't stand that mushy CVT transmission. The Impala is nice but I'm just not a GM fan. It's more of a family car. The Taurus just feels more bold and personal to me but still let's me take friends and co-worker in comfort.
I’ve been inside this vehicle while visibility isn’t as bad it could be better it’s a pretty good car as for having the smallest volume it would be the Chrysler 300 it looks like a midsize car with the interior volume of a compact car I’ve been inside a 300 it’s no full-size car
I'm not looking at this for grandma. Both of mine are gone r.i.p. I'm looking at this because I stand at 6'4" and it is hard to find a vehicle that I can sit up straight in. My last car the roof has grease stains from my head and hair.
Noise? I thought you were talking about breaking into the car. So you really think moving the door locks will prevent someone who has smashed your window in... Never mind... You just hurt my brain.
Great choice of background music. Gotta wonder when US car mfrs will get it right with midsize and large sedans. Compared to Japanese, European and Korean midsize and full size sedans: Chevy Malibu - rear legroom is cramped Ford Fusion - rear headroom is cramped Ford Taurus - lacking interior room for the size The only apparent winner is the 2014 Chevy Impala, competes well in the full size class.
I love my 2014 limited mine ruby red love the ride I think this Taurus is the best-looking beast also i love the back windows go all the way down i hate cars that the window goes half way and stops
Micah is the shizzzz. I'll take him over 95% of the reviewers on here. Just watch his old ford raptor review, for an unassuming joe that dude can drive.
as noted about high-quality interior materials and gas mileage 18/26/21 mpg city / highway / combined carbuzz.com/cars/ford/taurus Is it worth purchasing a modest car like taurus🤔?
I want that Taurus the dodge brothers use to work for Henry Ford they quit and decided to create their own company only to try to be some much better than ford lmao dodge sit down u can never be better
Full sized! What a joke! I drive one for work and spend more than 40 hours a week in one. Don't buy one of these! Ford needs to go back to the drawing board, the car is junk. Poor visibility, badly designed ergonomics, very cramped interior, and despite what they say difficult to get in and out of with that sloped roofline.(I'm 5"10) Also add the bluetooth phone issues which mine had and currently has again (it has stopped working completely now) and cheap cheessy looking interior. No wonder it has a crappy resale value and you don't see many on the road. Just one man's opinion who has a lot of time in one. Save your money and purchase a Toyota a better choice and better quality and design likely.
+Kenneth Pittman Well I've spent two years in one and I still look forward to every drive. I had to face a 500 mile road trip. I was SO glad I didn't rent a car. My Taurus was spectacular in comfort, for quiet and keeping us entertained. . Bluetooth problems? Ha! I had three devices linked to the MyTouch. Cramped? Yeah, if you're a lard ass only a front seat like a couch will do so that rules out a lot of cars. .It's not just one man's opinion, it's the opinion of everybody I've ever taken anywhere in it.
For your info I'm not a lard ass, and the fact that you do not see many of these pieces of junk on the road and that Ford has now decided to discontinue this car due to poor sales, Well I guess I was right. MORE THAN ONE MAN'S OPINION APPARENTLY.
+Kenneth Pittman just because you don't see a lot of them on the street doesn't mean they're junk. I see a lot of Nissan Altimas but I know from experience I wouldn't want to take a long road trip in one. and for your information the Taurus has not been discontinued. it will be redesigned. But I can see you're emotional distraught over it so I'll leave you alone
I think nobody buys them because they aren't advertised well. I haven't seen a Taurus commercial in years. Every skeptic whose ever ridden in it has been impressed. I kid you not. Within five minutes of riding with me for the first time in it will say "THIS is a Taurus?" You don't find Sony audio, cooled massaging leather seats and ambient lighting in what you call a piece of junk. 65,000 on it and still a highway cruiser as smooth and quiet as the day I drove it off the lot. Is it popular? Will I see one every ten minutes like I do Altimas and Hondas? No, but when I'm on a long road trip and I notice none of my passengers are aching to get out and stretch, when I haven't had to do anything but tend to routine maintenance, mean-spirited uninformed opinions don't matter.
Undeniably the bigest POS I have ever had to drive. This car is for little people. Trying to get your head in the door and sit down results in a concusssion every time. The seats have no support and are tiny; as in some oneone wearing a size o dress , 4-10", an weighing 90 lbs is the ideal minded owner. It is a large car on the exterior, but tiny on the interior; much like a 2 + 2 or VW Jetta. It is all engin and trunck. The interior cabin comes in 3rd in terms of space and comfort.Walking aournd the outside, one can immediately see the subpar sheetmtetal work going at Ford these days; horriblae seam alignmnent and drafty windows. Lets talk reliability... a wtaer pump at 2 1/2 years old with 65,000 miles resultedin an $1,800 repair job; yep you haev to pul the motor to egt to the water pump. A german must have designed the motor. The ride is great if you like riding on a s 2X4 board with no shocks. Paralisys develops over long period of times. Pluses includes only the Sync whih is very nice. However...mid $30S just to have Sync...wl I think not.Stay away from this one with you hard earned cash. 90% of the cars out there are superior to this trach mobile.

I lost it at the "pillar Hinders vision" and he showed up
jajaja, the face on "grandma to the airport", jajaja
Any new viewers out there? I think this guy is a time traveler. Why would the title say it was from 2015 but the video was posted in 2013. I get if it was uploaded later than 2015 but this is opposite
Very nice car
How much does this goes for?
The Avalon is nice but I just can't stand that mushy CVT transmission. The Impala is nice but I'm just not a GM fan. It's more of a family car. The Taurus just feels more bold and personal to me but still let's me take friends and co-worker in comfort.
Nice-looking car. Not a big fan of the RCA/composite inputs. Who still uses those anymore?
is that a iPhone3? The older phone is probably the reason why you are having Bluetooth connectivity issues.
Micah is good... REALLY good
The pre-facelift model looked better IMO, especially in white.
Hola quiero comprar un 2015 con 68kl que me recomiendan es un buen auto una buena inversión
i buy one this day its red like the car of the video
Are you serious? If you break the window, you can get into any vehicle no matter where the door locks are.
Micah es muy divertido y muestra lo principal de este lindo Taurus, Ford es Ford
Noise? I thought you were talking about breaking into the car. So you really think moving the door locks will prevent someone who has smashed your window in...
Never mind...
You just hurt my brain.
Why didn't they say anything about the MASSIVE centre piece between the front passenger & driver? That thing takes up soo much space!!
Xenophene01 I really don’t care for the center piece.
you're kidding right? I've seen bigger center pieces in GM products. this one is just right!
I like it looks nice
How is this a 2015 if this came out 2013
يارب ارزقني واقضي حوائجي لا تحرمني من حلو الحياة وتيسير الأمور 💔
iPhone 5 on iOS 6!
Gimme it!
Love Ford Taurus’s
A Great family sedan
Love the s h o
Great choice of background music. Gotta wonder when US car mfrs will get it right with midsize and large sedans.
Compared to Japanese, European and Korean midsize and full size sedans:
Chevy Malibu - rear legroom is cramped
Ford Fusion - rear headroom is cramped
Ford Taurus - lacking interior room for the size
The only apparent winner is the 2014 Chevy Impala, competes well in the full size class.
Troy V you didn’t give what was wrong with the Chevy impala.
i agree.... the Ford Taurus is a great "grandma" car.... :-)
2:00 Whadayya expect from a freakin microsoft os? LOL
Look cooler as police interceptors
Beautiful car not mercedes bmw
I love my 2014 limited mine ruby red love the ride I think this Taurus is the best-looking beast also i love the back windows go all the way down i hate cars that the window goes half way and stops
Micah is the shizzzz. I'll take him over 95% of the reviewers on here. Just watch his old ford raptor review, for an unassuming joe that dude can drive.
كيف صرفيتها للبنزيين
i love ford more than toyota
as noted about high-quality interior materials and gas mileage 18/26/21 mpg city / highway / combined carbuzz.com/cars/ford/taurus Is it worth purchasing a modest car like taurus🤔?
Looks way better than the Germans
muito bonito, motorzão da ford edge
Meanwhile,I'm driving the crown Vic.
Ford Taurus Restrictions Now,Poor Car ,500,000%
I want that Taurus the dodge brothers use to work for Henry Ford they quit and decided to create their own company only to try to be some much better than ford lmao dodge sit down u can never be better
Ford is like the little sissy girl and dodge is like the bulldog in the neighborhood.
Funny how people post hated comments but Your on a ford video u obviously like ford dumb ass
+ty cloud That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone say. e.g. People do homework, but does it mean they like homework? Most would say no.
süper bir tasarım süper bir araç
❤
Please launch in india
this cars problem is it comes across as an old mans car
soaringtractor facts
This or Chrysler 200...
It doesn't compete with the 200 but instead with the 300
+ATCS300 Taurus. The 2015 200 has a lot of problems.
Lmao omg, not a comparison. Taurus
ATCS300 Chrysler trash
The grill looks similar to Hyundai's
WRONG! Ford had the bars FIRST - Hyundai must have copied - no surprise there.
Guys are so hot in fords
Hhaha! yeah right! redesigned, discontinued whatever you want to say its gone because it was junk! Nobody bought them and that's a tell tale sign.
I think nobody buys them because they aren't advertised well. I haven't seen a Taurus commercial in years. Every skeptic whose ever ridden in it has been impressed. I kid you not. Within five minutes of riding with me for the first time in it will say "THIS is a Taurus?"
You don't find Sony audio, cooled massaging leather seats and ambient lighting in what you call a piece of junk.
POS .. FORD
99th comment!
Lol he's adorable..... The car is meh
