When you own a Taurus, you're kind of out there by yourself with a car barely anybody knows about. You know people are wondering why did you buy this... boat. But then they get a ride in it and you notice everybody gets quiet. The ride is swift, civilized and calming. Nothing they expected in a Ford. They look at center console, they hear you use the voice command. Then sooner or later they ask "THIS is a Taurus??" That never gets old.
Geoff w/a G .... how do you like it? Thinking about getting one 2016..... what do you think of the visibility and interior driver and passenger space.? Especially driver leg room and sight? Any huge problems? Need help. My choice is between SHO or 2014 Audi A6 with low miles. Thanks in advance
My 2013 SHO has almost everything this 2015 does and I couldn't be happier with it. Fun to drive, even in the Denver Winters. The AWD is impressive in every season. For those of you that think Taurus, meh, this is one you should drive. I looked at BMW, Range Rovers and other imports and decided that this was the car for me. Half the price and all the performance, style and functionality. 365 HP in the twin turbo 3.5 liter V6 will impress ever the biggest gear-head. Test drive one and let me know what you think.
Couldn't agree more Jamie. As mentioned, the 3.5L Ecoboost engine is hidden gem. I suspect a lot of BMW and Audi driver's have been humbled by this car off the line!
I honestly love this sleeper. I ride in it everyday. The speed torque and the handling is amazing and has a subtle style that separates it from the rest. But if you get this car, I highly reccomend a tune up. It will bring your horsepower over 400
@Reconstituted Redeemed2 you're still hear aren't you haha. I'm considering buying a SHO. Wish they had a lighter weight 2 door turbo v6 or something that's just as cheap. Original question still stands..
@Reconstituted Redeemed2 I mean you're saying it's costly because it negates warranty or it just accelerates wear on parts that if/when broken will be costly
I have this exact car. Color and all. And i love everything about it. Its such a sleeper. And the livernois tune and roush intake really wakes it up. Love it
Good review. I have a 2015 SHO with the Performance Package and an aftermarket tune. It's a total beast...and the most comfortable beast I've ever driven.
I found a wrecked one with 20000 miles the parts are high one head light is 400 dollars, I am going to go for it they are nice. I think i can get 15 with a salvage title.
that's a mean looking car with a great power , I don't know why people are butt hurt when they hear SHO or S.H.O or whatever is called , it is Taurus and it's a great reliable car
That was my expression when I first test drove it before purchasing my SHO. 17:50 I bought mine in white, and man let me tell ya... people think I'm law enforcement. I fucking love it, they get out of my way in the highway.
+Donna Vang I like my 2015 S.H.O. or SHO I'm not so sensitive at first the back end bother me but now that I have on and I have all that trunk space I like and something I never realized all those headlight glaring in my review mirror don't bother me anymore thanks also this car has a great safety rating. on 0-60 I narrowed my choices to the S.H.O. and the fusion and I believe one of the Buicks which surprised me. the Cadillac's yes nice yes lighter weight but are they like stealing out your wallet or what crazy price no way. And Alfa Romeo Gallia beautiful but double money yes light weight and allot of power but I have to give to ford per dollar spent they are champion most for your money and it is American good job. and I was a former 3 time Acura owner u finally pulled me over to the good side well done
I have a 2013 SHO and have been looking to go back to a F150 but every time I look I just can't do it. I love the car and as much as I love the new F150's this SHO just brings me back to reality. So like you I am a SHO owner for life.
Interesting how many comments here complaining about the "Sho" vs. "S.H.O" terminology. Also interesting how all those complaining apparently don't own one. I owned a previous generation SHO and now own a 2012 SHO. "Sho" has been utilized interchangeably with "S.H.O." for at least 20 years, both by owners and "people in the know". Technically, SHO is no longer an acronym for "Super High Output" (or anything else), so the actual current correct pronunciation would be "Sho". Amazed that this is an issue for people; I own one and it doesn't bother me if someone incorrectly calls it an "S.H.O.".......
+theotts1 Thanks for you input, yes the comments have gotten a little crazy regarding this subject, some people get very upset lol. The letters still stand for Super High Output. They just don't have the punctuation marks in between and it's pronounced SHO (show) If people want to call it S.H.O they can, don't understand why it's so sensitive :)
TheOtts1 .....yeah I was thinking the same thing.....who gives a shit what someone calls it.. I clicked on this to see what this car could do performance wise.....
+Auto Vlog I couldn't reply on jerry Gillian's comment about SHO and S.H.O. I had back in the day a nice 1995 sho and I called it sho more than s.h.o. Also knew a lot of others with the cars. We all interchanged the words....
+AutoVlog 2010 was the baddest version of the new design Taurus! The last edition of the Taurus is cool. Especially, compared 2 the 2016 Taurus. I lost all interest, in the Taurus now!
I had a Cadillac Catera as my first car. I was showing someone my sunscreen, and then i hear a snap as the screen breaks off and falls down. Lovely German design.
I have this car same color everything except lane keeping assist I believe I need Joshua there to tell me more about aftermarket tune. I may need to wait on the tune don't want to mess with warranty.
On my 3rd one in 3 years - Im a guy who trades out fo cars 2 or 3 times a year (I have issues) this is by far in my opinion the best car for money in the world. I wish it was a little bit bigger as I am a big guy, but I cannot drive anything else after owning an SHO - I wonder if there is a redesign coming? Great car!
He forgot to add the ambient lighting at night it looks amazing when your in the car no need for those two lights on the roof next to the sun roof controls.
Thanku so much will be a new adventure have CDL-A was owner operator nationwide years ago. Going on a new adventure medical insurance and employment may be a pay decrease or may balance out we will see. Hope to do good.
I just wish that they would have come out with the 8 speed trans before they moved to the new model. That is the only limitation on this car other than the size, but that can be adjusted some.
Soarerfox Don't you ever; And I mean EVER say anything about changing the Taurus. I love it just the way it is. Oh, AutoVlog, This is my favorite review ever. You focus on the little details. Thanks man.
Hey. You don't know me and I don't know you. But,I am here to say, If you hate the Taurus SHO or anything on it, Get out of this video and don't comment anything. I am a proud 11 year old girl and I have loved this car ever since I saw it. I know the son of the man who owns it. My friend's dad owns it and he agrees that black on black is great. So, This is just me people!
Knowing what you know now what differences are there between the 2015 and 2019? I'm 💯 looking at both. Prices are a little bit higher. Please hopefully you still look at this soon.
Devon Alston bought the 2017 sho and I don’t regret it but it’s been in the shop for a week and they pulled the transmission out. Don’t really know much at this point but it’s been blowing white smoke excessively and smells like an oil leak (still under 60k mile warranty). It just hit 50k miles and bought it at 46k miles it’s been a great car so far besides the smoke. It’s a really fun car to drive and everyone who rides with me can’t believe how quick it is for a Taurus. It’s definitely a big ass car that can haul ass when needed. The only thing I absolutely hate about it is the steering wheel it seems really shit for a car that’s supposed to be luxury and I can never get it in the right position because it seems so small.
@@samcheeseman2750 oh shit cool. I have a 2011 sel, though I wish i would have gotten a S.H.O. I love the steering wheel however, it is a nice big beautiful one. I was never a fan of the 2013 remodel of the steering wheel. It sucks that it has a problem already at 50k miles but atleast it warranted. Good to hear you ended up going with the sho
17ish city, 19.7 overall the way I drive like I stole it, steady highway 75 or under taps at 30 mph, 75 and over 26ish, longer you drive steady better it does....
Im averaging about 18.6mpg but thats probably 60-40 city highway. Pure city driving probably around 17.5 pure highway at 70mph around 26-27. I took a road trip on some windy roads that was about 190 miles round trip and averaged about 29.6mpg at an average of 55-60mph
I get 18.5 city and 23 on the Expressway..I have a Chip in mine and a Cold-Air intake..Added around 85 more hp..This thing is a Rocket-Out of the Hole..I have put down 2 Hellcats with it..They don't do anything but Spin..Blink your eyes and you are Beat..
2015 ford Taurus SHO/ 2009 subaru wrx limited/ 2009 chevy impala LT or ss or a 2015 dodge charger sxt awd what would yall choose I'm a family man but my next upgrade from a 08 chevy hhr is one of these one day if I can find them at a good price and condition and mileage also I want something with more room and hp
I have averaged 27 MPG in my 2013 SHO from Denver to Grand Junction. Set the Adaptive Cruse Control at 80 MPH and that's what the gauge said at the end of the trip.
@AutoVlog I know this is an old video but I have an opportunity to buy a used 2015 for $24k with 50k miles on it...I wanted to spend 30k on a new car but always wanted a sho...question is would you do it? would be purchased from a carmax used dealership
ok now u drove the SHO and the 2017 MKZ i believe MKZ is more HP Torque and Lighter i like my SHO but I would need the MKZ to qualify for Uber Black SHO only goes to uber Select also these are within two year new requirements and then they drop to next class. my SHO has P.P. any thoughts
This guy loves hearing himself talk, 21:27 minutes which could have been 7 minutes long. Motor Week can show 3 cars with more info. on each car than what this guy did with one car.
"Show"? Please say S. H. O. Don't miss the opportunity to drive / own this bone-stock FoMoCo kit! Just picked up a Red '10 S. H. O. Friday. The ultimate sleeper. A nearly 400 HP beast appointed to luxuriously haul the family to Church. No one knows what this is, & if you don't utter the word "turbo" when adding to your policy, ...guess what, lol? Hard to believe I found one in my price range. Harder to believe it's in my garage & the title's mine.
Mid to high 20k range, local dealer around me has one just like this with 38k miles and it’s $26k, a bargain considering new it was pushing 40k or more, almost would consider trading my Mustang GT in for it because I have a family and this car is awd and 4 doors so it would be good In the ny winters here and they are fast stock but monster sleepers with some mods
Lars Frerichs best car owned.Reliable, best visibility if you put the drivers seat at high position.Own Mustang GT (14) & Camaro(10).This car exudes confidence while driving.Perhaps not as fun as Mustang,Camaro but you feel safer driving SHO because you are.
I own the 2015 Taurus Sho with 41,000 miles. This car is a luxury, and a Performance Sleeper..Everybody that has rode in my Car, Says damn this thing Will Run. They were amazed at the Power it has..Of course this is my Wifes Car..I have 3 trucks I drive .She let's me drive on the Weekends...!
The new Fusion is going to be available with a Sport model again. The last sport model they had is badass and the new one is gonna have 320 HP. Ive always loved the SHO its so cool! But I have no clue how someone can afford it lol.
Daniel Woods - Its not going to be the same, one of the reasons the SHO spanks too many cars is because of its V-6 DOHC base engine, more torque and far more capabilities than a V-4, and I own a Focus ST BTW
For something that has teon turbo. The 350 hp is way underpowered. Toyota makes their 3.5 by no turbo crank out 305 hp. Twin turbo should yield at least 100hp. Putting the figures at 405 hp for a twin turbo v6 3.5
For an up and coming channel, pretty good. But you shouldn't've mentioned not using your turn signals on occasion. I don't know how often you do or don't use them, but REGARDLESS of the situation, you should be using them. Even if there isn't anyone around. It's good practice and just the principle of the matter.
I really like the Ford Taurus and I have been doing some research. Unfortunately, I am reading reports that the " 3.5 litre turbo charged model " has been prone to mechanical problems. Specifically, I am reading that the Turbo System itself is prone to breaking down repeatedly, and whats worse, it is reported that " Transmission Failure " in and around 70,000 miles is unavoidable. When the car is working properly it is indeed an amazing vehicle. I have read reports that the " 3.7 litre " engine used in the Mustang is a much more reliable and proven engine. I would like to hear what others know on these reports.
Where on earth did you get that false info?-local Chevy dealer? 3.5 motor is very reliable. ...none of my friends or SHO car club has any of those issues. Weak link is the PTU, with proper changes of fluid even that is negated!
Justin Luttrell you have no idea what you are talking about. When you sit in it, it’s like being in a Jet airplane, when you push the gas, it throws you back in your seat. When the fool you left at the last traffic light finally pulls up to giving you that WTF look you will understand why we drive this car.
One of the best riding cars I ever owned.. Don't wreck your bosses car. That may be bad news. I don't have the SHO. The standard 3.5 is good enough for me. I just have the base model in shadow black. I am thinking about adding the spoiler like this one has. I like the one on this SHO better than the little flat spoiler on some.
One of the better looking taurus models IMO, but that isn't really saying much. Rear end is not very good looking. Everything else looks great. Great engine though. Fusion looks a lot better, size is somewhat comparable, and is more affordable.
I have a Fusion Titanium as well as a SHO. The fusion is better on gas, but there's really no comparison between the two. The Fusion is quickly outclassed by the SHO.
SO a question.. this is the notch model of taurus!! nice one vry cool looking fast!! why is the Speed meter only 140???? and the 2015 ford edge sport v6 has 160?? makes no sense!!!
+Daniel Woodz hmmm??? I mean I do know stuff about cars, but I never could figure this out, like wtf lol, my 2011 VW CC 2.0T had a speedometer of 180, and even other lower end cars have 160, and I got this new SHO performance package and I see this shitty speedometer of 140... like wtf -_-! I was mad and I still kinda mad... I never ever ever seen a mid hi end, or hi end performance car with a speedometer low as 140... can you be more specific bro xD
my guess as to why Ford doens't put the higher torgue engine in the SHO is that they are just dumb. this car started out way back as a Japanese engined screamer. it was cool even then.
When you own a Taurus, you're kind of out there by yourself with a car barely anybody knows about. You know people are wondering why did you buy this... boat. But then they get a ride in it and you notice everybody gets quiet. The ride is swift, civilized and calming. Nothing they expected in a Ford. The Ultimate Factory Sleeper.
Haha so true, we'll said... it is a big car, but vry powerful
+Mike Jordan Ya until one of those people pull up beside a lady with kid in back and groceries in their loud trans am and soccer mom smokes them! haha
Lol
"That's not a Taurus!"
"That's what I told him!"
(a la Buick commercial XD)
Just got a 2016 SHO and in the first week we got 14 inches of snow in my area, and the AWD SHO was absolutely fantastic.
Just bought a used 2015 SHO with 18K miles. Has the 401A package. LOVIN' IT SO FAR!!!!
Congrats !
How much did you give for it? I'm going to go look at a 15 with 15k on it.TY
Did yours come with massage seats?
I've driven Dodge's and Chevy's... But never a Ford. Well, it's time to change that. I need the legend. I want to drive the Taurus SHO. 👍🏾
Was called Shogun by many in the late 80's mid 90's. I had a '90 dark green one. The Yamaha designed engine was a masterpiece !
I honestly love this sleeper. I ride in it everyday. The speed torque and the handling is amazing and has a subtle style that separates it from the rest. But if you get this car, I highly reccomend a tune up. It will bring your horsepower over 400
What kind of tune up? what changes? thanks for the info. Fixing to purchase one myself.
always get spare ECU for the tuned 1 and swap it before getting any warranty work at the dealership.
@Reconstituted Redeemed2 why is that?
Love it
Looks like a great car, FO SHO!
Good review. I have a 2015 SHO with the Performance Package and an aftermarket tune. It's a total beast...and the most comfortable beast I've ever driven.
+Joshua Bailey Thank you ! I'm sure it is the beast you are describing.. :)
Man I’m really considering buy one of these
I found a wrecked one with 20000 miles the parts are high one head light is 400 dollars, I am going to go for it they are nice. I think i can get 15 with a salvage title.
where do you get a aftermarket tune? Also, how much HP are u pumpimg?
Yup. Beat up a Subaru WRX with the A/c on.
that's a mean looking car with a great power , I don't know why people are butt hurt when they hear SHO or S.H.O or whatever is called , it is Taurus and it's a great reliable car
I like the sound
best sleeper ever
Its not though. 2017-2020 lincoln mkz v6 awd is. I know because i own one. The sho is a beast. But the mkz is better
That was my expression when I first test drove it before purchasing my SHO. 17:50
I bought mine in white, and man let me tell ya... people think I'm law enforcement. I fucking love it, they get out of my way in the highway.
Same here. I love mine ❤
Taurus needs that redesign, then the SHO will be top notch
I have one and probably the only car I will ever drive and purchase again.

It is S.H.O. not sho, It's like calling the Toyota TRD a turd package
I own a 2015 SHO and it is the best car I've ever owned. It came with all the goodies and a lot cheaper than the Bentley I wanted... Great car..:)
Cool car! Liked and Shared!

This car will be mine in 2020
That Taurus is a nice sporty car man!
id love to see a 2016 taurus sho platinum white :)
I had a Cadillac Catera as my first car. I was showing someone my sunscreen, and then i hear a snap as the screen breaks off and falls down. Lovely German design.

+Damon Brown Yeah you can fit a football team in there

19:00 - 19:06 - That is not how you hold a wheel when turning, not at all.
Those wheels are sick! Love em
They should be for $1000.00 a piece!... Lol
Henry Starkey they are more than that hahaha
Love this car going to buy it as my first car 🙏🏼
Wow! Thanks for the great overview! Much love and hugs!
I just wish that they would have come out with the 8 speed trans before they moved to the new model. That is the only limitation on this car other than the size, but that can be adjusted some.
Use your turn signal. It's way too easy and prevents wrecks.
Is there a 2016 model of the car? This car is truly beautiful
Yes, I have a review of it :) th-cam.com/video/Wr51pqt8oy4/w-d-xo.html
It is a beautiful car! Mine is a 2015 Limited - I LOVE IT - I've had people actually stop me to tell me how beautiful the car is!!!
UnlimitedProduction1 Yes! I am 11 and One of my friends, Logan, His dad owns the 2016 and it is beautiful!
Buy it NOW! Before it is history. The Taurus is still in Asia , but it's a Fusion platform, and the Ecoboost went to the trucks.
Is the driver's seat pretty spacious for big guys???. I'm a big guy and wanting to buy this car and need to know.
Thank you!
needs a sixspeed manual gearbox and I would get one instantly
+Soarerfox Agree!
Soarerfox Don't you ever; And I mean EVER say anything about changing the Taurus. I love it just the way it is. Oh, AutoVlog, This is my favorite review ever. You focus on the little details. Thanks man.
The police version has a 6 speed for the 3.5L V6.
you and 5 other people would be the only ones buying it lmao thats probs why they didnt give it a manual option
Precision Ammo Gaming they could have used the mustang gear box in sure of it would have been a good fast car I have a 2012 PP

The remote will roll all windows down, open sunroof, and turn a/c on before you leave the office.
why would you want AC with windows down
damn i just fall inlove with this car its beautifull

I get 18.5 city and 23 on the Expressway..I have a Chip in mine and a Cold-Air intake..Added around 85 more hp..This thing is a Rocket-Out of the Hole..I have put down 2 Hellcats with it..They don't do anything but Spin..Blink your eyes and you are Beat..
Do all the 2015 fords have a massage setting or just The sho’s?????
Believe me when I say, Recaro seats don't fit a fat man!! Hope to trade my Fiesta ST (with recaro's) for a Sho, SOON!!!! I'll keep y'all posted!!
All you 2015 SHO owners..... Whats the "realistic" gas mileage? I know it's totally depends on the foot but interstate 75 to 80mph cruising.
Do all SHOs 2015 and later have massaging seats and a rear motorized sunshade?
ok now u drove the SHO and the 2017 MKZ i believe MKZ is more HP Torque and Lighter i like my SHO but I would need the MKZ to qualify for Uber Black SHO only goes to uber Select also these are within two year new requirements and then they drop to next class. my SHO has P.P. any thoughts
I have a thought....punctuation, its awesome! Look in to using it.
This guy loves hearing himself talk, 21:27 minutes which could have been 7 minutes long.
Motor Week can show 3 cars with more info. on each car than what this guy did with one car.
The Ford Fusion that you have beside it would have looked a lot better in black or white color.
Aside from SYNC 3 what's difference between 2015 & 2016
Harder to believe it's in my garage & the title's mine.
the old car was a S.H.O. new car is a SHO (show)
@@iannamico Please say S. H. O.
@@GREENGENE18 If you are talking about the older models, sure call them S.H.O. The newer Gen models are in fact called SHOW SHO
Wonder how much you can get one for now in 2020
Mid to high 20k range, local dealer around me has one just like this with 38k miles and it’s $26k, a bargain considering new it was pushing 40k or more, almost would consider trading my Mustang GT in for it because I have a family and this car is awd and 4 doors so it would be good In the ny winters here and they are fast stock but monster sleepers with some mods
Was interested in them....but consumer reports rated them pretty badly.
I love mine, I'm thinking of doing a tune, any recommendations.
Matthew Kessler I hear there’s a team in Michigan called Livernois that does well with Taurus Shos
Sct tune
you mentioned a 12 speaker system with a subwoofer, where in the car is the subwoofer located?
Trunk
Wrong ! The sho does have a different steering wheel . I suede option that comes with the Pp
I own a 13, If you are looking for one, get the smaller wheels, comes with a spare in the trunk.
I pray Lord I can finance one. Same make, model, and color. Amen. I love it.
Certified used low milage=like new!
More torque in the sho wound cause drivetrain problems… mainly the ptu
For something that has teon turbo. The 350 hp is way underpowered. Toyota makes their 3.5 by no turbo crank out 305 hp. Twin turbo should yield at least 100hp. Putting the figures at 405 hp for a twin turbo v6 3.5
Its 365 hp and for like $500 you can buy a tune and it becomes a monster lol
But the toyata 3.5 gets technology upgrades while this SHO hasn't gotten any technology upgrades since 2010.
For an up and coming channel, pretty good. But you shouldn't've mentioned not using your turn signals on occasion. I don't know how often you do or don't use them, but REGARDLESS of the situation, you should be using them. Even if there isn't anyone around. It's good practice and just the principle of the matter.
How's the mileage
Hi, can this Taurus use P245/50R20 tires?
Standard is 245/45/20, so yes the 50 series is a insignificant variation, might drive even nicer depends on the tires...
Beautiful car, just too big for me. It bothers me when a performance car is pushing 2 tons.
Does the Taurus sho have remote start?
+Bria Hawthorne Yes
Yep and mine has remote start, if that helps.
Slamming everything shut jeeze, not even your car..hate when people slam my car door..
Grounds for a beating. Lol
+Don't Worry
Not in my Taurus. I put a stop to that shit real quick. I will walk around to the passenger side and you will get the lecture.
My 2015 SHO doesn't have park assist??
yeah She is mean sometimes
What Ford Dealer are you with?
Moon Township
should of got this instead of limited
One of the better looking taurus models IMO, but that isn't really saying much. Rear end is not very good looking. Everything else looks great. Great engine though. Fusion looks a lot better, size is somewhat comparable, and is more affordable.
I have a Fusion Titanium as well as a SHO. The fusion is better on gas, but there's really no comparison between the two. The Fusion is quickly outclassed by the SHO.
Never heard an SHO called a “show”
Who taught you how to drive? Why are you palming the steering wheel?
Жаль что у нас нет Тауруса. Хорошая машина.
little do you know the cia, fbi, nsa, and other special agencies use this vehicle for driving, and also as a high end emergency issue vehicle
No under the hood shots?
+Corey Edmundson Did you watch the review? 3:25
+AutoVlog Saw it this time on my pc. Was on my phone before, I think the video glitched. Thanks for the reply and heads up. Keep up the good vids!.
+Corey Edmundson Thanks man, will do !
SO a question.. this is the notch model of taurus!! nice one vry cool looking fast!! why is the Speed meter only 140????
and the 2015 ford edge sport v6 has 160?? makes no sense!!!
+DJ Bama It has to do with tire size.
Should put a 5.0 motor with a 10spd
Exactly.. That's the only way to get a better exhaust sound.
Henry Starkey it sounds pretty good with the rear mufflers deleted. I did that to my 2013. Still doesnt beat the sound of a v8
Not true bud! I have that car your in and the steering wheel and pedals are electric adjustable
Vous êtes géniale
my guess as to why Ford doens't put the higher torgue engine in the SHO
is that they are just dumb.
this car started out way back as a Japanese engined screamer.
it was cool even then.
+pensive69 It's mounted differently in the car, has a different transmission, etc.
+Bruno TaTa OK. have the SHO division tune the existing engine for higher output....I would live with that route...
Extra big breaks and all wheel drive with the 100 extra HP.
Performance package upgrade doesn't need any bigger brakes, custom tune 70 wheel hp
Oh....and it already comes stock with AWD...
Had a '97 SHO w/ a V8 - nowhere near this much fun.
lol Nicholas. true
