I rented a 2017 Taurus limited with the v6. I was very impressed. Very good power, very good ride, excellent handling, very quite interior. Loads of features. Huge trunk. It’s a winner.
For a guy that is 5 feet 11 inch (myself) the interior space has been a downgrade from the Five Hundred. if i make driver seat comfortable for me and try to sit in rear seat.. my knees sink into front seat. The Five Hundred by Ford was sweet! knees never touched, the dash of the Taurus seemed to have a slight over kill with length from front-into car. i love the power and the performance of the Taurus though! current owner of the 13 Taurus
I personally really like the Sync Touch system. I have experienced many infotainment systems including older Acura, Lexus, new Tacoma and currently 2014 Buick Enclave. By far, I liked Ford Sync Touch the most. It definitely has the most sense how things are organized and very easy to switch between climate, phone, radio etc. I owned 2013 Ford Edge for over 4 years and had almost no problems with the system. In the comparison, I find the infotainment system in 2014 Buick Enclave being the worst by far. Not only there is too many repetitions but its just badly designed overall. I also want to add that of all the rear-view camera, I found the one in 2013 Edge to be best. The camera is mounted centrally with a nice wide angle camera that captures the rear end from edge to edge of the bumper + the nice and clear big screen is awesome. In comparison, I was disappointed with the rear-view of the new 2017 Tacoma.
1/16/18, Luv this car, price was right (paid4). I have the 2015 LTD/awd ($2K option, get it), a couple minor drawbacks though: No HID headlamps, no DRL, capless filler on wrong side, purchased available cap w/key ($25/Ford/go figure) if for no other reason than to keep dirt out. Oh yeah, I had a trailer hitch installed. Dated? A '17 is about the same as a '10. That's a good thing, less retooling, tweak same basic design = a better product, that's why the VW beetle was so successful.
Currently have a 2010 Corolla which I love and have had zero problems with but want a bigger car with more power. I have narrowed it down to a used (2013-2016) Taurus, Toyota Avalon, and Kia Cadenza. I cant make my kind up. Question is which car has the quietest interior? And which would you recommend?
You gotta try out the Avalon, I think it beats this easily, Ford has been neglecting this car for a while now and it shows. Great review, as usual. I also think the Impala has this beat as well. Not a Ford fan, as you can tell.

Great review. I own a 2014 Ford Taurus SEL. Great Car. The only issued that I have is the gas tank is not on the driver side.
