"Shogun" is 10 episodes series my friends.
Everything else is a Hollywood fanfic trying to create a cash cow. This will end bad.

A prequel would satisfy fans who were emotionally invested with 3 main characters that were killed off. With great writing on back stories they could pull it off along with the relationships of these characters with Lord Toranaga. I'm hopeful they will do at least one prequel.

You know that the showrunner and exec producers intended to just do the one season, right? It wasn’t even what they intended to do. Also I’m a strong believer in not ruining a good thing. So if they pull this off kudos. If not, then it will always be “that show first season was the best and they should’ve ended it there!” …

@@Jiminimonkayeah the more days go by the more information is released so I’m stoked for who is involved and super happy the Cavill Estate are working together with showrunner/producers to continue this story. I’m hesitant only cause it has often worked against the legacy of a show. I like ending things on a high. Thanks for ur comment really appreciate it 🙏🏽

The title of the series is 'Shogun.' It would be great to continue the narrative until Lord Toranaga actually ascends to the role of Shogun. Given the rich history of the Tokugawa Shogunate, there should be ample material for the writers to craft fantastic second and third seasons.

No these are based on books it should have ended at that episode.

Yeah I think so too. I was torn until I saw that Clavill’s family/estate is involved in both seasons. Honestly though I’ll miss Anna In the role of Mariko.
