Fuji is such a strong woman that it makes me laugh, thinking of comparing her to the main stream idea of a strong woman. She is unbelievably committed to whatever she puts her mind to. She's got a backstory that fills you with sorrow, and she perseveres regardless without projecting her pain and misfortune onto others.
The look on Fuji's face (her eyes, as always) at 3:34 .....LOL. She knows it's supposed to be a secret and she knows that she slept alone that alone the night before but Mariko didn't....
The best television we have gotten in years. Buntaros tea ceremony. Fuji being just heartbreaking and amazing. Marikos poetry. First series in a long time that I was moved to tears.
Fuji is the best example that personality plays such a big part in who you find beautiful and sexy, if you hold two pictures up of Mariko and Fuji pretty sure most men would pick Mariko but if you see the personality and traits of Fuji almost all would pick Fuji, a real ride or die b, kinda crazy when you think about it
Fuji was made up to look less physically appealing than Mariko. In the few shots where you can't see her childish braids and curls she's really pretty. Mariko is at the centre of the story, and had to be presented as the hot one.
Totally agree! I was infatuated with Mariko from the start because she was so hot, but the more I saw Fuji (especially in the stand-off scene), her behaviors, personality, gestures, etc. she started growing on me more and more. I became a less intrigued with Mariko and more drawn to the the less prettier Fuji, who ultimately became way more attractive in my eyes!
Game meat has a strong odor. The rabbit they found there may be wild so the stew smells and tastes funky too. Now I've found a wikipedia page about the Japanese Hare, which Japanese people hunted and've eaten. So I guess rabbit stew is something maybe the peasant class enjoyed and not the noble class (the samurais).

There is no "correct" or "wrong" way to do women. Either you like a show. Or you don't. I think She Hulk sucks. But there are others that love the show. Who gives a fuck? Just be happy that there is different stuff for different people to enjoy.
@CrniWuk ofcourse there is. Right or wrong being measured by the result vs the goal. If you want people to see your movie, shogun blew she hulk out of the water. And shogun female characters form large part of the praise the series received.
@@CrniWuktell that to the Disney shareholders and CEO who are banking millions into these scripts and expecting a return. There isn’t a “right” or a “wrong” but there is certainly a more appealing story vs an unappealing story.

Little wife has a lot of power. All the words Mariko says couldn't convince him to give up his guns. Wife calls him, and says to give guns to her, he obliges :3 And she was ready and willing to make that shot
Mariko (Anne Sawai) is a disappointment for most Japanese viewers because her face is considered ugly, or below average. No way she could be an actress in Japan. She was chosen for the role because she can speak english fluently (she's from New Zealand) & she has a rather generic "asian looking" face. The kind you find in massage parlors. She looks over 16 definitely looks like she is in her 20's.
Asian people look very young
Absolutely gorgeous and amazing actress
1:49 There is something beautiful about a woman handling a firearm
I find it really fitting that shes seen wearing wisteria patterns on her kimono throughout the times you see her, being her namesake.
Fuji is beautiful .... Her part is an excellent one and fulfilled superbly
this is what a strong woman looks and sounds like, deceptively fragile and stronger than steel...The actress is fantastic 🙏
The actress played her very well as well as her beauty support more to her charisma. 10/10 show
i never seen someone so beautifull as this girl in my life
Fuji is such a strong woman that it makes me laugh, thinking of comparing her to the main stream idea of a strong woman. She is unbelievably committed to whatever she puts her mind to. She's got a backstory that fills you with sorrow, and she perseveres regardless without projecting her pain and misfortune onto others.
Without demeaning men around her, nor being a macho hero with tits. Disney should try and learn from this
She stole every scene ❤
She's my favorite character every since the gun scene.
She got nominated for the Emmy
As the cool kids say, Fuji-sama is a "real one" -- no doubt about it! Love her.
Best character, and the one I found myself consistently rooting for the hardest.
The look on Fuji's face (her eyes, as always) at 3:34 .....LOL. She knows it's supposed to be a secret and she knows that she slept alone that alone the night before but Mariko didn't....
I dont really get it what happened that night i thought one of them came to his room
@@smerkz1378Mariko did.
The best television we have gotten in years. Buntaros tea ceremony. Fuji being just heartbreaking and amazing. Marikos poetry. First series in a long time that I was moved to tears.
for me Fuji is stole the show, she is so cute and strong willed.
At 1:53 is when I fell in love with this version of Fuji.
Wow. Fuji would be considered prettier than Mariko in South Asia. She is pale, slim and tall. Mariko has the intellectual look.
I'd choose Fuji in the first place tho
Moeka-san simply crushed this role. So perfect!
Fuji was one of my favorite characters even though she had little screen time
Fujisama possesses the classic beauty of a bygone era, which I believe aligns perfectly with the aesthetic of this film.
Fuji low key being the best character in Shogun❤
her saying "pour that stew into the sea" 😹😹 it must have smelled so offensively horrid
Yes, not even anywhere near.... need to pour it as far as possible.
@@nanevak
also, the anjin probably didn't use garlic and herbs, and he also said it's not the same without sherry (i'm not familiar with this alcohol)
She should y nominated for an Emmy the show would not be the same without her.
Fuji was awesome! One of the best character endings on the show.
joining the fuji fan club, most relatable character in the entire series for my wife and I. She's just trying to survive and get on with her day, and she wants no part of any of the shenanigans that are happening around her.
Fuji completely overshadowed Mariko in this show. Moeka Hoshi did a fantastic job.
Hell naw...episode 9. Mariko is the soul of the show.
Not really
Moeka Hoshi, Fuji-sama, she is famous now, very impressed acting, love it.
She's so fucking cute bro 😭😭😭
藤様、可愛い😍
これぞ日本の奥さん
Fuji-sama is cute💕
This is Japanese wife🇯🇵
もえかさんの古風な面立ちは、装束や髪型ととても良くマッチしていましたね。彼女の新分野を
開拓出来たと感じます。d(^^)
When he said "No Translator" it was one of the sadest moments in the show.
Fuji sama was certainly my favourite character in the series.
fuji best girl
she's ride or die best waifu in the setting who would want anything else
My favorite character in the show.
She's so adorable
She was not in the last episode is she coming back in the next one she is one of my favorite characters in the series.
The women in the show are so well written and portrayed!! This is what we need more of, not Disney's she-hulk twerking in an office to show 'girl power'. Women overcoming adversity with their own strengths and ability's, overcoming their own trials and hardships! God damn this series and its actors and actresses are phenomenal! This series debunks the rhetoric of , oh 'you only hate the show cos its a woman', no...people hate the show cos the women are badly written. Shogun is women done correct!!
There is no "correct" or "wrong" way to do women. Either you like a show. Or you don't. I think She Hulk sucks. But there are others that love the show. Who gives a fuck? Just be happy that there is different stuff for different people to enjoy.
MCU fanboys got to see a hot woman throwing ass for free and they have never forgiven Disney for it
@CrniWuk ofcourse there is.
The women were equally samurai to the men, some were skilled in katana and yumi along with other weapons, some fought alongside their husbands in battle.
Best character in the show
the look on fuji-san's face at the 3:09 mark lol. Moeka Hoshi is an outstanding actress!
Fuji Sama ❤
Very few to NO Fuji is the ONE issue I got with the last three episodes.
Fuji with the Uzi is deffo the best character! ❤
Fuji Sama had very little scenes but she really gave a great performance. Almost as great as Mariko……almost😂😂 4:11
Little wife has a lot of power. All the words Mariko says couldn't convince him to give up his guns. Wife calls him, and says to give guns to her, he obliges :3 And she was ready and willing to make that shot
She’s literally the love of my life ❤
I like her looks more than Mariko and Kiku
Mariko (Anne Sawai) is a disappointment for most Japanese viewers because her face is considered ugly, or below average. No way she could be an actress in Japan. She was chosen for the role because she can speak english fluently (she's from New Zealand) & she has a rather generic "asian looking" face. The kind you find in massage parlors. Some Japanese think she looks Filipina or Vietnamese. Hoshi Moeka, on the other hand , looks unmistakably Japanese (not Chinese, Korean etc). Despite her looks though, Anne Sawai is a good actor.
For some reason I really like her character in the show. Every character was so well acted.
Fuji sama is so cute. Even when she ordered the execution of the gardener. As she admits to the exection with tears in her eyes....
My favorite character!
