I played both starting out with ps2 one but I beat it on GameCube like 30+ times but never beat on ps2

same but mostly because I had more free time when I was a kid 20 years ago when I got the gamecube version, I should see if I can beat the PS2 version!

GameCube runs it at twice the framerate all while rendering much better graphics

It's hard to say, gamecube seems to have a better framerate and faster loading since this game wasn't on DVD on PS2. both games are quite different tho. I noticed the tree boss before Hogwarts is an extra move on PS2 or if it is on PS2 it didn't show up for me. But once you get to Hogwarts the you can walk around in a much bigger field on PS2! on Gamecube the places you can walk in Hogwarts is super small! So both are worth playing but I only played the Gamecube version all the way thru!

And PS2 had the long loading times after you walk in classes or open doors I would prefer GameCube if exploring wasn't limited

It is weird that it was much easier on gamecube? maybe just different teams made these versions?
