i tried playing this on my ps2 a little while back and my god, i could deal with the lesser visuals compared to gamecube, but fucking hell, THE FRAMERATE, genuinely debating getting the gamecube version, that looks so much smoother
I've heard that the PS2 version has a slightly higher level of difficulty when compared to the XB/GC versions. Anyone know if this is true? Also, the GC version is impossible to officially '100%' due to a glitch in the game not increasing the percentage of overall completion higher than a certain number. (I can't remember the specific number). Does anyone know if the PS2 version features this completion percentage glitch?
It was already mind boggling HP 1 and 2 have THREE entirely different 3D games attached to them (PC, PS1 and PS2-Xbox-GameCube). Recently I found out for HP2, PS2 is even MORE different than Xbox-GameCube. Like ... how does this happen, lmao.
Came here wondering whether I should download the PlayStation 2, Gamecube or XBOX version, since I have all three consoles. Took me 2 seconds to rule out the PlayStation 2 version lol Since the Gamecube version runs smoothly, is quicker to download, runs from an SD-card, and is almost 100% identical to the XBOX version, I'll just get that version, and avoid the whole FTP transfer mess.

Interestingly, the lower framerate makes cutscenes look nicer and more cinematic, but it sure isn't fun to play.
Gamecube has better textures and looks clearer. But the worse of the ps2 are the framerate drops.
this game has a speacial place in my heart it was the first game i've ever played... such good memories

Funny how PS2 got the most advanced version of Chamber but the worst version of Philosopher's Stone.
