Fascinating. We went on our one and only trip to Corfu back in 1980 and you could see the Albanian coast from Kasiopi where we were staying. Looked very forbidding with gun emplacements on the coast line. Then it was almost completely inaccessible to foreigners. Looks really nice now.

So many things to see! Albania has come a long way since Hoxha. One thing: “like a better version of Ayr”- can there be such a thing??
