Tirana looks like such an amazing place to explore! Your video really captures the city's vibrant energy and fascinating history. The blend of communist history and modern progress is so intriguing. Visiting zones that were once restricted to Communist leaders and learning about Enver Hoxha's bunker system sounds like a unique experience. Tirana seems like a fantastic destination - easily walkable and full of fun activities. Thanks for all the great tips and recommendations. Can't wait to visit Tirana myself! Have a great day ahead 😊 Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad

Hi! Thanks for your kind comments. I certainly don't pretend to be an expert in Albania's history but it is difficult to travel to Albania without touching on the communist history. It is remarkable how considerably things have changed in 50 years.
@@TheLensCapChronicles Hi, I wasn't planning to reply again, but because you mentioned "it is difficult to travel to Albania without touching on its communist history," I thought you deserved a reply. - I don't think have tourists who travel to England or Australia and talking about "Great famine" or " Great depression era" of the 1930s this period is known for widespread economic hardship and poverty. Thanks for the critique. My comment was not meant to be offensive and in many of my videos I make reference to various cultural/historical/religious facts and legends. I find it interesting to learn these things & I enjoy watching other TH-camrs who also shed light... even if just for discussion & greater understanding. The reason I said it was difficult to travel to Albania without touching on the Communist history is that there are physical reminders of it everywhere - 200,000+ bunkers, museums, memorials, buildings and artworks in Skanderbeg Square. Visitors in Tirana will have no option but to see these relics of a time past. @@TheLensCapChronicles trust me, as an Albanian myself, you speaking about Communist period in Albania i find it not offensive at all. Its a part of our history, a part of how it has marked us as people, and the most recent one.
