you killin me bro. i had a brz for 3 years and traded for a VA wrx. watching your installs make me miss my car so much. think you packaged alot of the mods i had on it too. lol
Dude!!!! 3 questions... 1. What advantage are there to the E85 tune? 2. How can I find someone to do that tuning? 3. How do you make all these installs look so easy on video?
E85 allows for more aggressive tuning due to the higher octane rating. You can find tuners across the country to tune the car with either a street tune, on the dyno or remotely. As for the installs, this really is an easy install haha
Been waiting for flex fuel since I bought my BRZ a year ago. Now all I need is for it be be available with E-tuning or at least an off the shelf map from delicious.
Been looking for a vid on how to install flex fuel kits! Thanks question regarding the tunes. How do we go about tuning it when we take it to the tuner? Just say we need multiple maps?
So, help me here, please. I would need to have the car re-tuned for E-85, and then I can add this monitor, which will tweak the tuning in real-time based on the sensor reading?
So running an e85 tune, would you still want to flash say a 91 tune back to the car if you are on 91 for a while? Or do you just tune for the highest octane and are good to go
So the downside of running an E85 tune is you'll need to run straight E85. If you need to switch to 91, you'll need to get rid of the E85 in the tank and switch maps.
So it fine to wait until the fuel gauge is flashing low/empty and you know you got something like 5 miles left in the tank and then put some E85 in it? Or do you have to drain the tank to 100% empty before changing fuel types?
Silly question, so my area has both Premium 93 and Flex Fuel (didnt know that was referred to as E85 lol). With this installed, and the car tuned, I can opt for either or both?
@@KevinVo that's a shame, idk why every gauge like this shows boost and afr, ect. But does nothing for the MOST Important auxiliary guage in any vehicle. I understand why they didn't put one in from the factory, as it would probably startle those who are not familiar with the high oil psi in the boxer, but it's a necessity for sporty driving without worry.
I often find myself watching your install videos on cars i never plan to own. That just shows how great your content is
I appreciate you!!!
Clean build props to managing everything so it's not a mess of different brands colliding against each other

Reach out to Graham at boosted performance tuning!
How did the flex tune work out? Havent seen any follow up and nobody is selling them yet. Makes me wonder if there are issues.
@@boost331 haven't had a chance to take it in yet. Will update once I do.
@@KevinVowt their tune would I need a dyno tune or would it be fine with their e tune ?
@@PatrickGardini e tune is fine.
Thanks for shipping my hoodies and shirts! Can't wait until they arrive.
Thanks for the support!
@@KevinVo Just keep it about the content, and not about you, and you'll rock this. I promise. Peace, brother.
Love your energy and delivery.
A perfect install video as usual! Definitely picking up the gauge. E85 not readily available near me:(
That's a shame!!
Please do a driving review on the flex fuel ⛽️ kit and newfound power gains
I like you’re new GR Corolla. Saw it in a Facebook group and got excited for what you might do with it in the future.
Awesome I’m glad it’s working out!!!!
Appreciate the support!
Thanks, gunna use this guide to jnstall the delicious tuning flex kit
Happy to help!
Pretty soon, the stores near you are gonna be running really low on sourpatch kids with all that support building up 🤣
Amazon ftw! haha
That vent gauge is awesome!
What kind of hp gains can be had with flex fuel and a tune on the GR86?

@@KevinVo Right on, thanks. I remember watching that video now but don't remember the final number. Watching now!
Want to get this lol been doing a little e20 blend for a while now and the car runs great with it, I’m sure it really loves e85!
You should!
Need to mount that on the center hole on the flex fuel bracket. Sorry... It's just me. Glad things are working out with the channel!!!
The center hole is larger that the others so the nut wouldn't hold it very well haha
@@KevinVo Well I guess we will have to accept it. :)
Would you consider doing a video on how to clean the engine bay.
Nice, no e85 in my area though. Odd because it is very well populated.
Hey Kevin! Did you ever find out a way to fix the airbag light from those aftermarket seats? Preciate your support for the platform!
Still in the works!
EXCITING!
Do you know if there is any main difference/ pros and cons vs the Visconti Gen 2 on pre order currently?
Been looking for a vid on how to install flex fuel kits! Thanks question regarding the tunes. How do we go about tuning it when we take it to the tuner? Just say we need multiple maps?
Just ask for a flex fuel tune. If they don't know what that is, find a new tuner haha
Lots of orders!
Kevin who will tune it? Might schedule my gr86 there too. I’m just west of you.
Graham from Boosted Perofmance Tuning has tuned all my cars.
Kevin, Ordered an overlay for my BRZ unfortunately all the hoodies are only 86 design. Can you show some love to BRZ as well? LOL
So, help me here, please. I would need to have the car re-tuned for E-85, and then I can add this monitor, which will tweak the tuning in real-time based on the sensor reading?
hi kevin, wanted to ask if a supercharger was next? Been looking into them for my 17 brz but still saving.
No forced induction anytime soon for me. Too broke.

@@jumboshirmp it doesn't have to be completely empty.
is it a 11 pin connector or 8 pin connector looks like 11 pin connector
@@wza223-fo3mc thx!
Do you have to get a tune immediately? Or can you wait until you are ready for a tune?
You don't have to tune immediately :) you could wait.
Like they said, you can just leave it in there and the gas will just flow through like usual.
once you install the flex fuel kit, is it safe to drive the car to a tuner with the existing pump gas in the tank?
Are the fuse layouts identical for the two Generations?
Hey Kevin! Do you know how to remove the mirror caps? Is it pry and pull? From where?
I haven't done it myself but yes its just clipped in there.
Which header do you prefer jdl or otl
So that’s all I need for my gr86 to run e85 ? I thought you needed way more ?
Does the vent gauge measure ethanol content after the flex fuel kit is installed?
I believe you can wire it up to show ethanol content.
Can you still drive it without a tune when installed the e85 kit?
Yes, you can.
Silly question, so my area has both Premium 93 and Flex Fuel (didnt know that was referred to as E85 lol). With this installed, and the car tuned, I can opt for either or both?
Yes you could run either or mix them if needed.
Do you still need to get a new fuel pump? Or does having a flex fuel kit bypass that need and you can run your stock fuel pump?
No need
@Kevin Vo That's pretty cool then. Thank you for the response. I was weighing the pros and cons of this, so this question weighed on my mind.
What I want to see?
Intake induction noise video gosh darnit!
I always thought premium was Flex fuel, cause you know..... you flexing you can afford it.
That's true too 😅
Do you need to upgrade the fuel injectors or any of the fuel systems to run e85 or just a simple tune n kit?
No need.
@@KevinVo thanks for the reply! Im def gonna do this then soon asap since I know now!
Does the gauge display oil pressure?
No, you'd need to install a gauge with a pressure sensor as there isn't an OEM one.

I rather purchase an oil pressure gauge instead. But thank you!
