Thank you! 😁 Thats awesome, the G9 is such a comfortable and satisfying machine to use in my opinion. If only they had a cordless version… Maybe someday🤞

Just found your channel, thanks for such detailed and concise descriptions. Private chauffeur here in Miami and my 2020 Suburban paint is pretty bad from running it through the car wash every other day. Two questions. Do I run the cutting pad for scratches and then the white foam over everything? Any recommendations for someone that runs their car through an automated brush car wash 2-3x a week? Was thinking I could spray the car down with the car wax you recommended after running it through the car wash with my new Milwaukee 15mm DA. Used all your affiliate links . Thanks again for putting this knowledge out there!

Hey Ricardo! Thanks for your question, and I’m glad you’re finding the channel useful. Here’s a quick rundown that might help you out.
Starting with the white pad could be a good move. With the right technique and some patience, it might give you the results you’re looking for. If you’re dealing with a GM vehicle, though, which often has a pretty tough clear coat, you might find that using a cutting pad or compound first could be helpful if the swirls aren’t quite coming out.
For protecting your car, you might want to consider options like a ceramic coating or paint protection film (PPF). 9H Ceramic coatings last over 3 years and offer strong chemical protection (Withstands chemical abuse in car washes) and reduces dirt buildup, while PPF is great for defending against physical damage(Brushes carrying dirt and debris all over paint from 1,000's of cars being washed a day by them). Wax alone might not be enough if you’re dealing with frequent automatic car washes, and honestly, damage is inevitable over time no matter what you do if we use auto car washes regularly.
Another approach could be to try a rinseless wash instead of going through a car wash. It’s quick-usually takes about 15-30 minutes to just hit the paint and glass-and can give you really great results. All you’d need is a 3-5 gallon bucket, distilled water (optional), a rinseless wash solution, some microfiber towels, a drying towel, and a spray bottle (optional but useful). These are all items you can find in my product recommendations.
I hope these suggestions are helpful. Good luck with your detailing, and feel free to reach out if you have more questions!

@@highlandsautodetailing I’ll stop being lazy and go the rinse-less route. Mostly likely won’t have to clean so often as well once I have polished and waxed the car. Thanks so much for the advice, felt overwhelmed with all the products out there. I’ll try the white pad a see if I get good results, if not I’ll try the cutting compound and pad. My Amazon order just came in, ordered almost everything off your list. Thanks again man, really appreciate it!!!!!

Lol, I get it totally. The convenience idea of the automatic car wash is so tempting... Also, don't get discouraged if it doesn't come out perfect your first few times with polishing, it has taken me a long time to get really good at this skill. So just try to enjoy the process and don't stress perfection. You are very welcome and I really appreciate your support on the affiliate links!

Hello sir. Do you usually use a polisher? I have a new batch of polishers recently. Would you be interested in helping me test them?

Where do you buy the G9 5" backing plate? Same place as where you buy the G9?

For the 5” backing plate you can go straight to the griots garage website, unfortunately they only have a kit on amazon that comes with pads I do not use or recommend: www.griotsgarage.com/5-inch-vented-orbital-backing-plate/?srsltid=AfmBOopi9ss0BJ7PsOZy8N7BbTJiKcbLC07_dTQ0XhODS14SUNGskhfM
