      I have to agree with you here. If you’re a car enthusiast, you’ll want to mod your car even if it’s a daily. Like I’m on springs and have a fiberglass front lip and have yet to scrape to the point where I can’t get out of a parking lot. I’ve seen a bunch of people with slammed cars here in socal still able to get out of parking lots. It’s hard to agree with this video since all you gotta do is drive carefully, make sure what you’re installing works for your area, e85, and the parts/hardware are of quality where it won’t just fly off

    For the flex fuel part, isn't that the whole point? Just run whatever ya got. Near an E pump? fill it and get your mix up. Or top off with pump as needed. the benefits are everywhere in the E10-E60 range with no real downsides besides reduced MPG

    • @2bigfeet1986
      @2bigfeet1986 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Agreed… if it’s available to you where you live and where you work it’s a no brainer!! As for the “road trip” if there’s no E85 on your route then you’re filling up with 91 or 93.

  • @troyspurvey5158
    @troyspurvey5158 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Lowering your car has benefits and not everyone lives in an area where they need to worry, so that doesn’t make sense.
    Carbon fibre parts also have benefits and you can easily PPF which protects it, so that doesn’t make sense
    Assuming you’re tuned while having a flex fuel kit most people have 91-93 maps so when they’re using pump gas they just switch maps, so that doesn’t make sense.

    I installed RSR Super Down lowering springs on my FRS. They're bespoke springs specifically designed to complement the existing stock suspension. Since install, these progressive springs have not just improved grip and made the car more neutral, but it is genuinely more comfortable as it rebounds on potholes instead of hitting a hard top like the stock suspension. I thought RCE yellows would be the WRX equivalent.

    I gotta disagree with all but the diffuser. I think this list might make sense depending where you live. I daily a 15 WRX on RCE Yellows with carbon fiber, a front lip and I’m running a Cobb flex fuel kit. I’m in CA so there’s no issues with finding e85 plus the point of flex fuel is being able to run whatever fuel whenever. If you’re worried about fuel economy buy a Prius.
    Also, if you have experience driving a lowered car you shouldn’t really be scraping. Aftermarket wheels on stock suspension doesn’t look right in my opinion.

  • @admireinspire
    @admireinspire ปีที่แล้ว

    FLEX means you can still literally run gas or any % mix of ethanol.... so gas performance may be similar(tho likely better because it's pro tuned) but then you have the ability to unlock more when you have access to better fuel. 0 downsides

    Nothing bad about flex fuel honestly. If it doesn’t benefit you then don’t do it. If you’re going on road trips, just fill it up with pump gas. I doubt people who daily a flex fuel WRX run E60 continuously the best blend to run continuously is definitely E30. I fill up on E30 - E40 on the weekends or at least twice a month and still daily my car. It’ll taper down to about E15 before it’s time to refill

    I daily my 2016 wrx and do road trip. Things that I've done are lift kit, quality taller tires for softer drive, customed roof rack and box to keep dirty things away from interior. Light bars (fog, spot, and flood) for safer travel. And I'll say all these things are used everytime I hit the road. Future mod will be the most reliable tune (not for power) on the market.

  • @masteryingyang69
    @masteryingyang69 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Bruhh. Flex fuel is the only mod that is worth it if u have access to any E85 😂🤣. Running Flex fuel means you can run any fuel from 91-E60/E85 safely depending if u own a wrx or Sti.. Which you can pretty much get premium 91 gasoline anywhere. 2nd of all, I run springs on my wrx and it's a daily. My swift springs lowered me just enough so that I don't have any issues on washington roads. Been running them for 2 years and not a single issue. Same with Flex fuel.

    I personally own a 2015 STI...I kept it bone stock as an everyday driver. It's got more then enough juice to keep me happy. Still as happy as the day I bought it. Maybe when I buy another car as a daily driver. I'll have great bones to build a race car. I went thru all that mod stuff when I owned an 2007 GTI..still have the OEM exhaust in my garage..when all said and done ..was it worth it ? Amped the fun level a bit...but rarely ran it at peak performance. This is my experience and it's a subjective choice. Subaru still rocks !!

    The car needs a front lip so bad tho.

  • @siriusbreak2212
    @siriusbreak2212 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I suppose it depends on how things are in your region. For me in WNY, yeah most of those are no brainers in my book. Especially the lip, lol. I want one. I really do but I know damn well it's gonna go wrong, so I'm not gonna do it.
    A static drop from lowering springs on a daily... yeah mostly again agree, bad idea. Even in the best of circumstances you're still gonna have to be mindful. Adjustable coilovers > Springs BUT, if you're really looking for versatility (and from what I hear, ride comfort too), air ride suspension. Part of me is tempted to get a set of bags, but again... in my area... a little iffy all things considered.
    In the end I may get a higher end setnof Coils just to take it down a modest .5 inch. Heck, I've also toyed with the idea of a modest 1 inch lift so, not settled just yet there. The 2015 STi stock ride height is pretty low as it is anyway IMHO (somewhere an owner of a slammed WRX is thinking "blasphemy!!!" 🤣).

      I mean there is a multitude of reasons not to run springs from a maintenance perspective, but I mean lip clearance and chassis clearance are very different things

    Totally agree on the lowering springs! I made that mistake with my old Impreza and it made driving around the NYC area a truly harrowing experience. Will never make that mistake again. Definitely happy with the ride height / overall feel / ability to handle rough city streets with the stock WRX suspension--no plans on changing that 🤠

    Mods are subjective. Can't tell ppl what to do with their cars
    Also about the 'diffusers', as I've said. Mods are subjective but these so call 'diffusers' aren't actual diffusers and serve absolutely no purpose.
    Even 1s from the factory. Unless it's like a legit sports car like a Ferrari or a Porsche then u can count that it's most likely fake af.
