- I have the original VHS this came from. It was stolen from me by "When The Cowboy Sings" I know it's not good quality sound or video.. but this was an awesome performance.. Get past wanting to tell me how terrible the quality, and try to enjoy the performance..

So sad to have lost Randy’s voice as early as we did but it’s even sadder for me to watch Randy sit with his wife and we all know his heart and soul aches wishing he could play and sing for us. The one thing I loved about Randy Travis is that he never strayed away from country music as it should be sung. A lot of the, so called, country musicians of today could learn a lot from George and Randy.

The song "He stopped loving her today" Was something touched me to the core, because my father really had a drinking problem, my father and mother had been married 18 yrs my father, at the age of 40 developed blood clots in his legs he lost one leg and went to lose the other, I'm sure if anyone knows anything about a man you can only imagine what it would be like for a young active man to endure. It was horrible !! At times he would use his crutches and fall which it would break open his wound, at his stump, blood would spatter on the walls and curtains. Lord helps us !! Anyway, at 47 he went to the hospital, and had massive blood clots, which was the last of him. My mother had moved away before that but she came to see him ONE MORE time. About as sad as it gets. That song is exactly what went down in my family.
my cat came and put her head on the screen of my phone and kept her eyes on the whole program of Randy Travis and George Jones but any one comes up on the screen she leaves ,she has done this. twice not just once
My husband was in a wheelchair when I married him, but in his last days he ended up having to have both of his legs took off cause of gangrene but he tried to help me and others all he could do even though the dr put him in a Nursing Home cause of my health of not being able to get him up but always was thinking and helping others there too so never give up

I am 71 and my husband loved George and copied his style as he was a picker too. He played the clubs and other places. He loved all the older singers and I too am sitting here crying, remembering 55 years of our lives together. He has been gone 6 months now. Music was always a big part of our lives listening to people like these two.

As a young boy, in the late 1950's I started on a life long journey of Love For, and with many TRUE COUNTRY SINGERS.
I consider myself to be a a very fortunate man.
I didn't have to turn the radio down or off when others came into my room.
I was fortunate enough to have been able to listen to one True County Music Radio Station, and attend many Concerts in Jacksonville, Florida.
I was blessed to have been able to see and enjoy so many
Of The Greats through years.
I don't consider my youth to have been wasted.
I still enjoy going back in my memory and also through so many avenues of Videos of the Greats.
Back Then Country Music Radio had listener's all over.
So proud of the influences that were and remain even today.

For anybody who's ever had a messy breakup, I recommend listening to recordings by George Jones and by Randy Travis. Been listening to country and western music since 1976 (my bad year).

Both of these are some great country music singers! There's this song of George Jones called "Who's Going to Fill Their Shoes" that really tells it all from all that have passed on! This really brings back memories! The only one that still remains is Randy Travis and George Jones has gone to join the rest in "Hillbilly Heaven 🙏" where we will All be someday! May God bless 🙏 them All!!!

Merle Haggard missed as well. i'll tell you who i'll miss when he's gone and since losing his wife asnd son a year apart Ronnie Milsap 78-years-old is looking bad and not souinding that great outside of the studio. i've done work for Ronnie and I love him dearly. i'm just saying St. Peter is taking roll callcall for the Opry for the big GRAND OL OPRY now, so don't be surprised.

Got to be in a movie with Randy as an extra~The Visitation~filmed in my area north of Bakersfield.Got to do a scene with him,the director said just stare at him like you don't belive what he is saying.We were in a very old church.Randy played a preacher.You can see it on youtube.
