That’s one of my favorites, The window up above, George wrote it. Uncle Kracker covered it and did it justice, he said growing up his daddy played George. I’m so glad the good lord blessed us to have him our lives, and we can still listen
Waylon Jennings said that in an interview ❤ he loved George!!! He said, me of all people told his family that there was gonna have to be an intervention with George, and we'll do at my house.... when the night came family and friends all at Waylon's house and he brought George there telling him it was a party..... George started crying if I'm remembering it correctly...he saw the people there and her each one tell him what they mean to him and they didn't want to lose him....he agreed to go to rehab.. 3 months and got better and gained some weight, he was at 105 lbs at the time he went in. .came out like the old George...I hate to say but after a few months he went back drinking and all the other stuff.....alcohol was is choice, the cocaine he doesn't know why he got addicted to that....but, as messed up as WAYLON was he said looking at George he couldn't imagine losing him 😢😢

I remember watching this with my Dad when it aired. We spent the night talking about the various artists he got to see live in the 1950s and 60s. Hank Sr., Hank Thompson, marty Robbins, Buck Owens several times, Merle Haggard... Country Gold all of them

great show .. so how are the acoustic & fiddle getting to the sound board/amps ?? no wires are visible ...
George was messed up here. Makes you wonder what he's on. Sure do miss him. They'll never fill those shoes
I dint believe it but even if he is he's able to play entire shows
Wish I knew what pedal that guitarist was using in This Love Song to get that swampy tone.
What kind of guitar is that
Shame country music has been murdered and Austin and Houston have been Californianized.
Perhaps... or just reborn
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by californianized? Because alot of top shelf country came outta California. Buck Owens,,Merle Haggard?
First time I heard that one is this all true girge Jones 2:02
