Man I've been growing my naturally curly italian hair lately and all these barbers use a hair dryer to do the craziest most beautiful things. I guess I'll have to cop one damn it
i have a layered cut similar to the manequin but no matter how hard i try my hair just wont go wavy like it does in the vid. i have a diffuser and use sea salt spray to no avail.
Do these waves last all day? One thing that always frustrates me about my fine, straight hair is how no matter what product or blow drying technique I use, my hair always straightens and falls flat within a few hours. By the end of the night, it looks like how it did when I got out of the shower, but greasier because of the residual product. I have to keep my hair as long and layered as this mannequin to even have some semblance of texture and style, as short hair amplifies my problem, and flattens out even quicker than my longer hair styles unless I plaster it with pomade or hair gel-which looks terrible on me. Just ordered a diffuser and waiting to try this out myself, because if this works this might be a game changer for me. Excited to give it a shot, will report back after some experimenting. Thanks for the tips!
This is a great start for straight hair. As a professional hair stylist, this is not straight hair , it has a slight wave already. My son has legitimately straight hair this would be a start but not going to leave it solid wave.
@@syndiaba2434It works. Struggled with the same problems all my life. Took til now too figure out how too make it perfectly wavy while it still being healthy for my hair. Make sure you’re keeping it at the perfect length, in my opinion it has too be super layered all around! Ive just been diffusing, And curling it with my fingers and it has been doing its job. Get a texturizing powder and put it in while still wet and you’re good.
Dude you are seriously one of the best barbers around from what I’ve seen of your vids. I’ve been looking to go for a similar style to the mannequin in this vid myself; a tad longer, sort of like the Shawn mendes, chalamet look. I know you say the secret to achieving such a style is all in the length and the cut, but I’m lost without any guidelines for what length my front, top, back and sides should be, and no barbers near me I trust enough to do it 😂 I’d trust you though, what would you say is a good length for that sort of cut?

what do you suggest for someone who doesn’t have that tidal spray at the moment. i tried your strategy this morning and it worked great but the curls went away after like 2 minutes and left my hair with the slightest bit of waviness
Do you think this will work on fine straight hair? I think with hair texture 1A, it's not even possible to create waves with a heating iron. Do you think this technique could hold a day?

Hey, I have thin straight hair too, if I wish to grow my hair into this, and I have an undercut with 3-4 inches on top (front being the longest) like a spike up hairstyle, how do I tell my barber to cut it so my hair grows into something like this? I'll show this video sure, but how would I know he's cutting it right? What could be the indicators? I still want sides shorter than the rest (not faded, just not so long that it makes my face look wide)

How close should I be holding the blow dryer/diffuser to my head? Some videos say to hold it like 6+ inches away from your hair so you don’t fry anything but in this video you basically swirl the hair with the blowdryer
If you use the dryer properly you can go as close as you want. Just be careful with burning your scalp. As long as you keep the dryer moving around you should be good.
