I am 5 months post short pixie cut. The easiest way for me to grow out my hair is to keep cutting the back until hair is all one length, then just let it grow.
What kind of product can be used to manipulate and hold hair like the mannequins? When I try doing that with my natural hair, it just falls down and doesn’t hold.
I've been growing my hair out now bout 8 months of no haircut. I got curls coming in, and it drives me crazy, they got minds of their own and sometimes I think I got Medusa style hair lol. I'm going for long hair like Dracula from the Castlevania anime series.
I've been tring to grow out my hair for years but every time I get it trimmed or shaped I get put off the whole process. For instance my last cut was all point cut and thinning scissors. Now my hair doesn't feel like my hair at all. Its too thin. It should be thick and lush! But now torn between getting it cut back to undo that thinning or whether to just keep growing. The best long hair I had was when I had it crew cut short originally and then just let it grow for 7-8 months. It was awesome then. It felt like my hair!!! Not a styled version of some vague idea of what should be my hair!
The awkward stage has really pushed me to the brink of getting my hair cut, to the point where I once changed my mind _at_ the barber's. Whenever I decide to get it cut, a video like this pops up. I think it's a sign 😅.

I am trying to let it grow for the first time. is been more than half a year and it was butchered from the start from a bad haircut so my advise is, if you are self conscious use a hat or a bandana and learn to love it and two do not listen to people making silly comments (I’m Latino my hair is thick, dry and curly to Afro to the point I had to use a keratine type of product to help me in the early stage and control the sides and back) so yes is gonna look weird, yes it will feel weird, get in your face while you sleep, you will feel lost a lot of products styles and many more things but it can be done now I’m finally ready to stop the keratin and let my curly hair to have its own life it was worth it I hate short hair
I clean shaved my head 17 months ago and since haven't got a single haircut or touched it other than combing it to make it not tangle. I haven't really even though about it and that I may look like a goblin like this. I wonder what a professional hairdresser would think of my current hairstyle xd
I wanted a trim cut, been growing for about 7 months. Asked for a small maintenance snip off the sides and my back. The next thing i knew he took off my whole sides and gave an undercut. Really really gutted now i basically have to regrow my hair
Yes. I feel a bit insecure sometimes when it's getting too long and it may look bad. My hair stylist always says the same, she says I can grow it out, but I should trim it down and I feel like she always cuts sooooo much.... I don't really know what to ask for as I am not a stylist, I just tell her I'd like to grow it long but Idk I always leave with lots of progress GONE! I may need to find someone else.
The place I go has a picture book of different cuts I always show them the picture of specific lengths. Maybe showing a picture of how you want it to grow will help
I hope you can make a hairstyle for long hair when the head is square and long, but why does the hair twist when it comes down? I hope you can explain this topic. ❤🙏🏻
I wanted to ask this since I've been trying to grow out my hair again. Again cuz i did grow it out once till the perfect stage but butchered it. I won't say it's exactly the barber's fault but i was more scared of the fact that my hair got severely dry and i started having really bad hairfall. Thankfully I'm all good now and my hair is growing healthy again after a year.
So I wanted to ask if there's any way to make sure your hair stays healthy as it grows out. I try to shampoo once a week and use a hairmask and conditioner whenever I do that. Aside from that my hair is quite well now and not at all dry.
I’ve let my hair grow out since late August of last year because I was afraid of getting a haircut. I’ve had many barbers mess up and not give me the haircut I wanted even if I had showed them a picture/video of it. I believe part of the reason why this might happen is due to the fact that I have straight hair. It’s awkward having long, straight hair and looking like a mess. It gave me a middle part and I realized I have a cowlick. If you have straight hair and want to grow it out, make sure to take very good care of it unless you want to feel embarrassed every day.
i tried to grow out my hair. it reached a stage where my middle part was seen and hair was seperated on both the sides. it looked very akward so i got a hair cut.
That's why I don't trust any local barbers in my area because I'm scared they might give me a low taper fade instead of just simply TRIMMING MY HAIR. I just go to a salon instead.
No... please don't... There's no need to buzz cut your hair entirely in order to grow it out. Also, trimming your hair once in a while as it grows is highly recommendable in order to fix some parts that seem odd and shape everything into place.
@Melody2004. I guarantee my hair is healthier & nicer than yours ,haven't had a single trim in over 7 years ,no split ends ,don't need a trim ,professional stylist even confirms it, can u donate 3 feet of healthy virgin hair to wigs for kids & they accept, cause I can
I'm 33 years old, I've never had a good haircut in my life. I still havent found the hairstyle that i can sport comportably and that doesn't collapse two days after haircut. Im finally at stage 2 hairfall of male pattern baldness, but im growing out my thin, damaged hair, its gets curly if i dint wash but straight and flowy when i wash. I have no idea what im doing.
If your looking for a wolf cut get a mullet just the sides when you have 4 inches of hair then let it grow remember donot cut hair on your crown area and your back
i asked my barber for layers in my hair i have a haircut similar to the last head you showed in this video instead my barber went crazy with thinning shears now my hair feels flat lifeless and extremely knotty and frizzy
I'm growing my hair out and I'm in the awkward stage.... I've had to talk myself out of going to the barbershop like 15 times in the last 2 months. Not even exaggerating...
I really like your vids! But I've been looking for a video on how undercuts look not styled and the best way to grow out the top while maintaining an undercut, but have been very unsuccessful! Just a thought, but might be a good video to make!
The problem is that it always gets to a decent length and they cut the sides way too short with clippers. Where do you cut hair out of? Do you have your own salon?
I'm going for the "hockey flow" kind of look, similar to the 3rd mannequin you showed in this video. I started growing my hair out from a skin fade on the sides, and a bit longer on the top, this was in October of 2023. I'm coming up on about 6 months of growing my hair out and I'd say the awkward phase for me was from months 2-5. It just recently started to have enough length where I can slick it back and it holds it shape, as well as being able to tuck the sides behind my ears. I tried a lot of different products and my current go to is the medium hold matte pomade from your shop. It gives my hair a natural look, doesn't look shiny like with some other pomades, and it lasts forever. Using a tooth comb too has made my hair look a bit better as well. I have yet to go to a stylist to get it properly layered and shaped, however in about 2 months when I have the desired length I want, that will be my next step. Thanks for the video man!
My hair was growing since September 2023, because i've set myself a goal to try to achieve Brad Pitt's haircut from World War Z movie. I have required length of hair, maybe a little longer, but i kind of can't style it the proper way. I middle part hair on top, try to put sides behind my ears, but most of hair gets out and are covering ears. With hair spray they hold there a little tho, but then there is back part, where actor's hair are straight, and mine are little curly. I guess it is not haircut for me, lol. I've came here to seek some tips what to do with longer hair, before i cut them. If there is a chance, i would appreciate video of how to achieve Brad Pitt's haircut from said movie and how to maintain it. :} Thanks

Same boat, grew it out for like 3 months, and back to skin on the sides. Can't stand it. Unfortunately the hair on top is getting a little too long so now I have to grow the sides out, unless i want to cut the top.

my trick is to just not care about it and boom year gone by now the hair is down my shoulders
What i did was undercut until a good length on top then I started growing the sides while keeping the sideburns and neck somewhat controlled
Words of wisdom ❤
I am 5 months post short pixie cut. The easiest way for me to grow out my hair is to keep cutting the back until hair is all one length, then just let it grow.
What kind of product can be used to manipulate and hold hair like the mannequins? When I try doing that with my natural hair, it just falls down and doesn’t hold.
My crafted matte pomade
I've been growing my hair out now bout 8 months of no haircut. I got curls coming in, and it drives me crazy, they got minds of their own and sometimes I think I got Medusa style hair lol. I'm going for long hair like Dracula from the Castlevania anime series.
I don’t know how women do it 💀
Sleeping with them sucks too
I've been tring to grow out my hair for years but every time I get it trimmed or shaped I get put off the whole process.
Currently in awkward stage, Im thinkin of giving it some time but im close to getting it cut, but this video is helpful and the timing is great👍 👍
How is it going?
How is going right now I'm in awkward phase i know it's just 2week but still how it's going
The awkward stage has really pushed me to the brink of getting my hair cut, to the point where I once changed my mind _at_ the barber's. Whenever I decide to get it cut, a video like this pops up. I think it's a sign 😅.
@@fredericwessling6886 I ended up getting a haircut just a few weeks back, I live in south east asia and the heat here makes having long hair really uncomfortable..

Hi I grew my hair for 1 year n 4 months I'm still growing I had some awkward times that I wanted to cut it but I use Indian hemp products n it help a lot it's good n kept my hair lookin great it's a hair treatment n to make it grow it's sold at Walmart n very cheap
n is not a word millennial bieber

The whole reason I have undercut is I want the long but not the shaggy look around the neck.
Do u have a taper or fade?
I personally have a taper fade and left the top of my hair long so it looks clean if I pick it up, instead of shaggy and crazy.
@@XanVicious ye I also got a taper so I have barely a full head with fresh taper
Eid Mubarak 🎉 to all of u
Eid Mubarak brother ❤

summer is the worst season for long hairs. i always think about cutting it all off when the temp's hit 90-100
May- Sept buzz cut undercut. Rest of the year scissor cut and let it flow
Haven't had hair in like 20 years now I'm growing it out and have no idea what style I should go for..
Needs to make a video about natural curly hair. It seems way harder to maintain.
That's why I don't trust any local barbers in my area because I'm scared they might give me a low taper fade instead of just simply TRIMMING MY HAIR. I just go to a salon instead.
When i'm in the awkward stage I just use a hair-band till my hairy grow out like I want them to. They look in place and in order with the hair-band
Get a buzz cut & then let your hair grow for 7 years ,ull have long hair
No... please don't... There's no need to buzz cut your hair entirely in order to grow it out. Also, trimming your hair once in a while as it grows is highly recommendable in order to fix some parts that seem odd and shape everything into place.

@Melody2004. I guarantee my hair is healthier & nicer than yours ,haven't had a single trim in over 7 years ,no split ends ,don't need a trim ,professional stylist even confirms it, can u donate 3 feet of healthy virgin hair to wigs for kids & they accept, cause I can
Doesnt take 7 years. 2-3 years for long from a buzz.
That's the Michael Myers cut right there...
If your looking for a wolf cut get a mullet just the sides when you have 4 inches of hair then let it grow remember donot cut hair on your crown area and your back
I just got an undercut. It’s 3/8 around but long on top and I hope it grows out alright
yeah...my barber literally destroyed my hairs....he made my hair so bad that i had to cut my hairs back to normal size to mantain the style and look
2nd mannequin jump scared me
I went for a maintaince trim but the barber ended up giving me a buzz..... 😢

i asked my barber for layers in my hair i have a haircut similar to the last head you showed in this video instead my barber went crazy with thinning shears now my hair feels flat lifeless and extremely knotty and frizzy
My problem is waves. My hair makes an S shape all on its own. I’m also not sure how to style it on my own between haircuts

I'm growing my hair out and I'm in the awkward stage.... I've had to talk myself out of going to the barbershop like 15 times in the last 2 months. Not even exaggerating...
if you will get a bad haircut after all of the growing out then you will deeply regret it so grow it
Stick it out!
Bro made me want all three hairstyles at once 😂
I really like your vids! But I've been looking for a video on how undercuts look not styled and the best way to grow out the top while maintaining an undercut, but have been very unsuccessful! Just a thought, but might be a good video to make!
I just got an undercut today. I hope it grows out the way I want
Yes I have had a situation like that and I did not go to a haircut for 10 months
What about curly high volume hair?
Only if this video came up yesterday
A salon butchered my hair because i asked to make a flowy or a mid part style. They just straight up no.1 using the clippers and hacked my sides.
I almost always explicitly tell them to use scissors because I find most men’s places default to clippers
My hair is falling like when I take baths
I love your videos but I also like how shiny your head looks 😂 keep up the good work 🎉🎉
The problem is that it always gets to a decent length and they cut the sides way too short with clippers. Where do you cut hair out of? Do you have your own salon?

I like it how this bald guy talking about growing hair lol😂
5 month awkward stage?!
@@Moomakk-nb1oc No no, between months 2 and 5 of growing my hair out was when it was a bit awkward, so a 2 month awkward stage haha.
When you say the product lasts forever do you mean the hold it gives or the amount in the container?

:} Thanks
