It’s weird that the people with the least amount of hair are always very knowledgeable on hair. Some of the best barbers I’ve met have bald/low cut hair.
I have great hair but it’s so hard to maintain. I have to clean my hair frequently or else it bunches up and looks weird, and if I clean it often it’s flat and straight, like my hair looks exactly like the mannequin at the beginning. It’s great to see I’m not alone and there’s solutions to it.
I was almost going for a buzz cut because i thought it was just impossible to get my hair the way i wanted, I thought i just didn’t have the right hair to be able to style it (everytime I did, this front layer would just fall flat no mattwr what or look very weird). Tried this by myself as last hope and it worked spectacularly, can’t believe it would was that simple
Thank you so much! I was feeling like shit all day because of my hair (this specific top layer that will lay flat no matter how I style my hair) and did this and now it looks so much better!
I've been cutting my hair with comb and scissors for decades. The two things to remember.....don't try it drunk and the difference is a bad haircut and a good one is two weeks.
Thanks a lot bro, I always been stuck with some weird hairstyle that just didnt look good, it would always fall flat, but now thanks to you I can actually have a good hairstyle thanks bro 💪

@@exclaiming no. almost every barber i went to. haircuts never turn out how i want them to. no texture. no layers. but i might know a barber im gonna try though
Thank you very much for this video. As a man, I like my hair on the longer side but I dread going to the barber or even a salon because it's damn near impossible...no, it is impossible to find someone who knows how to layer thick hair. Stylist act like I'm from another planet because I don't want a fade or a military cut. I end up doing what you've shown here but only to the top. I'll use your suggestions and try this again myself.
Dang what a great video. May have done this before, but never saw the vid. But something else that worked pretty well for me was that I got a perm, but after a few months like 4-5 when it started fading away my straight hair wasn’t as straight and heavy anymore as it was before I got the perm. Used to be very straight, and immensely heavy, nothing I tried to make it more fluffy worked. Now a few , months after I got the perm I got that type of messy hair style in between straight and curly hair. Not sure if it will get more straight in a few months though, but I really doubt that will happen.
i did exactly the same thing! my hair could stab somebody its so straight and heavy so i got a body wave and its the easiest thing i've ever had to style my hair
My hair used to be very straight, but when i grew out my hair after getting a very short haircut, it started to get curves from the very bottom and slight waves as well. It was never like that before, so that's why I'm a bit confused 😕
I’m actually rly digging this hairstyle! I wanted to grow my hair out in the front, but it’s getting too flat from the length and I think it looks quite dorky. Maybe feathering on the ends will help with that too?
Been struggling with my hair a lot and now just today that I found I have flat hair lol. Thank you i finally know how to at least describe my prob to the barber
The only problem is I get confused of which section I've done cutting and should cut next, since I don't have much vision even if I'm looking in the mirror
Try sectioning ur hair in ponytails first or wet it before you even try grabbing pieces to cut, so that the hair can clump into easy to visualize sections! Goodluck!
You are the best. Just in the last month has been introduction to ur videos! My hair is all one length and heavy!! So after watching this video I know what needs to be done! Now, having said that, not so sure how it will turn out, but hopefully I can follow my guide that I create with that first cut! (Right?)
your videos are so helpful! i think the only thing left for me is to learn how to cut the hair at the back of my head. the layers in front are great but the strands at the back look so.. detached??
I've been through 5 hairstylists & they always leave the front of my bangs & back sides long & un-layered. I try fixing it with hairspray & pomade but it makes it heavy after a few hrs. I hope I can fix it myself & get it to how I want it.
My hair is fizzy ane med-curly😭 i want short hair but idk what style suit my hair and my face i have like an oval face😭 what do u suggest me! and i want it to look flat😭
heyy really helpfull tips, man! I absolutely love your channel, it helps me a lot when i'm looking for a new haircut :D would you mind doing Maxence Danet-Fauvel's haircut? or maybe have you done one similar to it?
I have this problem too, but with a different style. When I try to push back my hair to make a quiff or a pomp, the hair in the front goes back flat, there's no curve in the front hair, I don't want to use any straightening or curling iron because my hair is very dry very thin (I'm also receding from the front-sides), so is there any way to get that curve when I push them back, I do use hair dryer and it helps a little but not enough to call it curve. My hair is about 3-4 inches in the front
Use hair wax/cream, I recommend a “surf paste” if you want a laid back alternative like a surfer-esc hair texture, if you want more sculpted get “harrys” hair cream, it’s a green-blue container with a gray lid sold at Walmart/cvs/etc
@@gr5651 I don't want anything grand just to have some curves/movements in the front part of the hair, instead my hair just lays either completely flat if they're longer, or stand straight up like I got an electric shock if they're short
@@gr5651 also I want a product (not spray) that gives excellent hold, I don't want to want to touch my hair once they're set but should be able to restyled back to my set hairstyle if they get messed up (because I wore a helmet or hat for some time) nothing too strong, just strong enough hold to not lose their shape for at least 6-7 hours because I'm not gonna be touching them
@@blackpurple9163 you should use Cantu it gives your hair natural waves and you can always wash it off when you need to it does take some time but it has helped my straight flat hair turn curly/wavy naturally :)
