I'm not a man but I really enjoyed the conversation. I also agree that cheating has been normalised in society today to the point that it's now expected and excused which I find quite baffling. I agree there might be traumas but also think that it boils down to the value we have for who we are with and what you have with said person. There is seemingly less /non-existent value for relationships and fruitful commitments and that adds to the whole problem.
For fear of making this an essay haha I'll say this, when value and worth are reinstated back into commitments and relationships, then there's a better chance of challenging and curbing cheating :).

the issue of having trauma,as a personally I have my own trauma but its not an excuse to be violent or disrespectful or entertain any of that. Men need to know all forms of violence and disrespect whether to your family member, child,partner and even strangers is not acceptable and is bad and illegal, they just have anger issues and they need to evaluate themselves and change that behaviour.

It was mind-blowing for me to realize other than the sponsor phenomenon, there is a wide range of different reasons why men are struggling with the Nairobi dating scene. It is also great to watch such intelligent in-depth conversations than the norm that does not focus on growth and comprehension.

Hi, I just discovered your channel and my heart is doing backflips right now coz of everything you just talked about relationships in Kenya. I am glad that this is coming from men because we need to normalize self awareness and emotionally stable human beings. Most men are broken and their erratic behaviour is seen as a badge of honour and they have normalized disrespect for women. I was of the popular opinion that most people are from disfunctional homes but that's not the case. See people who have been through it crave for something different,they work extra hard in their relationships unlike people from " perfect' not so transparent parents. For some strange reason they just expect things to work without putting in the work. I didn't understand that,they expect everything to magically work out like their parents did. Also we have broken ourselves. Most of this trauma most 27 above have is not even childhood trauma,it's teen and adult trauma. At least 70% is damage from uni and just after uni.
