I have some doubts about fkm strap. Fkm doesn't attract dust and other particles, it's like a non stick pan. I have 3 of them and they are clean always. On your close ups I can see dust stick to it. 🙄
I think you're right… Sorry I missed that! I'm so used to these tropic style straps being FKM It didn't even cross my mind that it couldn't be. The material feels like FKM, it's very dense. But you're right, there are dust particles that I did not notice. This is one of the reasons why I like to show close-ups. Thank you for catching this and pin I'll this comment.
They feel like FKM to me, but your comment made me double check, and their website only lists them as "rubber." So, I pinned your comment and posted an update in the description. They do feel like FKM to me, but I'd rather viewers assume they aren't and be pleasantly surprised. At least it's a bonus strap and not the main reason for buying!
I've always considered Spinnaker as a fashion brand, but this looks like a serious watch. It's also interesting to see the price range for these is between $418 - $780. Is there something different or about the movement or is it down to some colours being more popular?
Really? I've never thought of them that way. Yes, this is definitely a serious watch. I'm not sure why the price range. Movements are all the same. You shouldn't see anything over $650 USD as that is the full retail price. I have heard that if you keep an eye on them they usually have sale prices to bring that down. And as I mentioned in the video, the Crimson Red was on sale for $349. Well, it no longer is and there are now 3 other colors on sale for that price. So, must be something to do with their colors, or maybe just sales marketing???
Hehe on the bone is the way to go 😎. Spinnaker watches are cool but there is a brand that's similar yet more affordable and not a variety of different hommage models. Shield watches, Shield Nitrox in particular but other models are nice as well. And did I mention cheap, often around 150$ or so. Might be worth taking a peek at 🍻
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I don't know why that Crimson Red is discounted more than the others??? I actually like it better than this burgundy. Maybe they rotate a sale on various colors???
Spinnaker I do believe is one of the few brands who ensures every piece reviewed to be great. This was a great review but it's Spinnaker that I beg to question and I speak from my personal interaction with them. They don't play a fair game. Great review OP.
You're saying they double check a piece before sending it to a reviewer? Well, that's probably to be expected. But that tells me that they can build a quality watch, and hopefully don't have any major QC issues. It's more likely that there would be an occasional issue, rather than a golden egg perfect watch. Thanks for the comment!
I usually try to stay away from comparing watches, because they each bring their unique character to the table. I DO like what Heron is doing overall though. There are SO MANY watches available! Crazy collecting hobby we're in!

@@WatchWitt I might be wrong about that. It's just my observation. What is the statement on their website?

I never noticed that my FKM doesn't attract dust but you're right lol
One of the beautiful benefits of FKM!

I love this watch. I bought it 2 years ago and it came with a black leather strap instead of the rubber strap
It's a beauty for sure! Glad I was able to share the Spence here...
Witt, review a watch from experimental watch unit!
Wow, I wasn't aware of them...some pretty cool dials!
Would have liked a black dial
They've got that. It looks slick, too. Pitch Black and red seconds lollipop and print. spinnaker-watches.com/products/spence-pitch-black-sp-5097-11
Great video as usual! What´s the white dial diver next to the VanBanner in the case?
Thanks! The white dial diver in the case is the Wise Hitman HIT66 full lume dial! th-cam.com/video/c8FyIZ_ww8I/w-d-xo.html
@@WatchWitt thank you buddy! Looking for a white dial/black bezel diver for the collection =D
@mad4watches That's a good one, for sure!
What's the bezel material? Ceramic?
Aluminum, for that vintage look! 1:45
@@WatchWitt Great review btw.
Thanks...awesome watch!
That burgundy with yellow is a good looking contrast. Thanks Witt. Have a great week everyone. 😀
Outstanding, right?! The Crimson Red dial variant looks good too...similar color and gradient dial. Have a great week!

I think I've seen Shield before...that Nitrox looks good...dig the turbine crown.
Holy moly that contrast between the lume and the red bezel is so striking!
Yeah, I love it too! And that Khaki FKM strap I found to match the indices is a beautiful tie-in!
No on the fly adjustment 😢
Nope. But at least there's 6 micro adjustments AND quick release springbars. Tool-less adjustment is the new thing to spoil us with, right?!
Great review, Witt. Love that color, too, and for $349 is an awesome deal 👌 Thank you for sharing my friend.

@WatchWitt Good question. I've seen it done with other watches when a particular color, and a nice color btw, is marked down significantly.
Dope time piece
It's got such great looks!

Great piece overall. But the new watches from Heron may be a bit more worth it in terms of case, bezel, and finishing.

@@WatchWitt Now that Spinnaker goes on a regular sale... that's something I didn't consider.
I haven't quite figured out the pattern, but it appears they rotate different colors on sale?
This is just a ripoff of the NTH V1 case--minus NTH's drilled lugs and superior steel bezel insert, and with less well executed dial options.
Nothing from NTH's lineup strikes me as being identical to this watch. Love that brand, though...they make a killer watch!
Yeah, I don’t see it 🤷♂️
