Uber and Lyft will be leaving Minneapolis next month, after the City Council set a new law that all rideshare drivers be paid the local minimum wage of $15.57 an hour. This is leading to a larger debate nationwide; how do cities make sure gig workers are being compensated fairly while keeping the affordability for riders down as well?
