Not really. They told us plenty of times Lyanna was kidnapped and GRAPED by the Prince... why wouldn't the 1st assumption be that he was a product of that? I literally have no clue how anyone could jump to Ned being thr father. They actually hint more often than people realize Jon isn't Ned's, at the wall when Stannis wife said "the bastard of some tavern slut" and Stannis responds "maybe. But that wasn't Ned's way." Because everyone knows his honor to be impeachable, when Sansa and Baelish discuss it at Lyanna statue and he says "Rhaegar CHOSE her" snd Sansa says "yes he chose her... then kidnapped and graped her" Baelish gives a knowing look as if he knows that isn't the truth.
So they speak on the actual situation plenty and give moments of others knowing there's more to the story. Stannis was a man who stayed in his place so he never thought to ask the truth of Ned he figured he had his reasons to SAY he did something dishonorable, and Littlefinger probably if he didn't outright know the truth at least suspected it.
not at all, we saw throughout the entire show from multiple characters rumours and what not of rhaegar and lyanna .
In fairness, most reactors are bingeing the show instead of watching it week to week with time to digest and discuss episodes in between. That's why I think the R+L=J video should be required viewing for reactors.

The entire reason Robert called his banners was because Rhaegar supposedly raped Lyanna. She literally says to Ned in this scene "if Robert finds out..." Implying that he'd have the baby killed simply because it was Rhaegar's supposed "rape spawn". I didn't find it confusing at all tbh

Because they never showed Rhaegar in the series, the prince was briefly mentioned in the very first episode only (the scene in the crypt). It was always just Ned, his sister, Jon, mystery... Jon, mystery, Ned's sister, Ned - over and over again. That's just bad script.

I love the reactions but.... How did you conclude that Ned had a child with his sister? it's beyond me. If that's so, then Ned was the biggest hypocrite in Westeros history because he was disgusted when he found out that all Cersei's children were his brother's. After six seasons and three HISTORY & LORE. i dont blame yall for misinterpreting the lyanna reveal bc i do think it was poorly executed. the story was told several times in the show but those only happened in very early seasons and in between dialogues which the general audience (non book readers) wouldn't be able to pick up on quickly or remember after a while imo... it could've been more clear with only a few added lines

but what cersei did wasn't winning anyway. Logically within the setting of got she has no claim and is now a kinslaying mass murderer. The rest of the nobility would immediately disown and seek to remove her from power. Even within the city and the red keep she would have few if any supporters besides the mountain or qyburn. The lannister loyalists would oppose her for killing her uncle Kevan Lannister.

Lyanna is, in fact, Jon’s mom. However, Ned is not his father. He took his sisters baby & passed it off as his own in order to protect him. If you are confused about who his true father is, it will be revealed in the next season. It’s okay, I didn’t get who his father was in the beginning either. It was still a nice surprise that Jon’s real mom is Lyanna though.
Guys, just let them figure out! Jesus, nobody is perfect. They will soon discover the truth. Just don't spoil them the whole season finale. Are you for real?

This is My favorite episode of the entire show. When i subscribed, it was to reach this exact episode.
Imagine the wait.
But You guys did something that i appriciete in My heart, You guys did one or two seasons where You marathon the season.

Fire and Blood is the Motto of House Targaryen, hence why Varys said it to Olenna Tyrell when she asked what her hearts desire is.
People act like if Jon Snow parentage didnt come out of nowhere in the show.
It did.. at that point.. who jons mother is was completly irrelevant.
The truth is, it's the book Reader's or the book knowers who knew the r+l=j thing.. si when this scene came, they knew what's up.
But the show itself... It established Jon as a bastard and perfectly fitting.
You can't blame them for not knowing what's up.
I still preferred the first 4 seasons that were more book accurate, without fast travel, absorbing all the details and intricacies of so many well-written characters, however I have to admit that the most pay-offs story-wise, are indeed actually in season 6. This alone makes it a cathartic season, so many pay-offs for so many characters, so much building up the ending to come, it just feels too good and memorable. I can understand why many people loved this season the most. Its all the things we were waiting for, for so many seasons, all combined in one epic and enjoyable finale.
Also, this season proves who is the best long-term villain of the entire show. Cersei. What a character and what an actress. Sublime, perfection incarnate, she is huge reason of why this show was successful in my opinion. There is something magical in that performance that screams perfection for the entire duration of this show.

I've said it many times, season 6 is some of the best television I've seen. And I've been told that I deserve season 8 since I feel that way.
