I may have said at some point in the video something like “Jon isn’t a stark” but I meant to say he isn’t Ned’s biological son. Obviously I know Lyanna is a Stark. Just wanted to clear that up

On character ranking you hit the nail on the head with what you said about Tyrion. There is one super specific reason that Tyrion was better in first 4 seasons. It was because the writing came directly from the books. Believe it or not, the perfect dialogue came from there and that's what made for an amazing character. So you noticed it. They ran out of source material after season 4 especially on some characters including Tyrion so this is 100% the reason that he never feels as good again as he felt in the earlier seasons. It is what it is.

When the red wedding happened, Bran and rickon were listening to a story told to them about a lord who had killed under his roof, and how his children were baked into a pie. Straight foreshadowing

Imo Tommen committed suicide because he understood that Cersei was behind the explosion and because his own mother had just murdered the woman he loved along with hundreds of others. His love was dead and his only remaining relative was a ruthless mass-murderer. He simply felt powerless and didnt see the point in continuing on.
Cersei's coup was foreshadowed in the preceding four episodes:
in 6x06 , Bran saw a vision of wildfire explosions in tunnels;
in 6x07, Olenna told Cersei that she was surrounded by thousands of enemies, and asked her "You're going to kill them all by yourself?";
in 6x08 , Jaime suggested that Cersei would do anything to protect her children, like "burn cities to ash";
and in Battle of the Bastards (6x09) , Tyrion prominently mentioned that Jaime killed the Mad King due to his plans to destroy the city with his secret caches of wildfire...
If anything, this show has too much foreshadowing, but somehow we don’t see it til we rewatch. Jamie at the Lannister breakfast at the start of the second episode (1-2) gave me CHILLS!

@@yusufraage8554most of the foreshadowing in Game of Thrones are used for a resolution of a certain problem, aka a means to an end. These led to her burning the sept of baelor as a resolution. There are also multiple foreshadowing of the rat cook, which led to the resolution of Arya killing the Freys with the Frey Pie.
I wish I could watch the first 25 minutes of this episode again for the first time… such an amazing sequence

The soundtrack at the beginning is called "Light of the Seven", again made by the amazing Ramin Djawadi. It's the first time they use a piano in this show, to give the viewers a feeling that something's going to go wrong.

Well, you're not used to piano in the soundtrack because this is the first time it was ever used for the series. Great choice by Ramin Djawadi, because it puts us right away on the edge of our seat, we know something's up.
Its like our eyes and ears got hipnotis and we pay all our attention to it. Miguel Sapochnik and Ramin Djawadi is genius.

What I love about this story is that in the beginning, the Game of Thrones begins as a contest between Kings. And it ends with a contest between Queens.

Jon has dark hair and dark eyes, simply because genetics. Darker hair and eyes are always dominant over light hair and light eyes, so that’s why it’s typically rare for two parents with dark hair and dark eyes to have a child with light hair and light eyes versus if it’s one parent with dark hair and one parent with light hair end up having a child together, chances are the child will have, the more dominant features which tend to be brown/black hair, dark brown eyes/dark grey eyes. He simply lucked out that the Stark genes won and so Ned could pass his off as his bastard
Plus Targaryens kept their relatives as mates. White hair + white hair = white hair! 👍🏼
Also goes back to ned reading the seed is strong in regards to baratheons and figuring out the kids are lannisters

Tommen quit being king because he KNEW his mother was responsible for the Sept exploding. Remember, Cersei told him before that she would “burn cities to the ground” for him. The Mountain was sent to prevent him from attending the trial so he KNOWS his mother wasn’t at the trial either. He comes to realize that he is partially responsible for all who died in the explosion because of his mother’s actions. He literally gave up.
This episode was my favorite of the series 😁

I think Tommen also realizes Cersei sort of did this for him in her own twisted way and he feels guilty I think it was more than just Margaery dying like people make it

They only killed her off because Natalie Dormer wanted to leave. If not, I doubt they would've killed her that way, if at all.

Natalie Dormer is SUCH a good actress. I know they took a lot of liberties with history when they did the Tudors show, but it's worth it to see her performance as Anne Boleyn!

The darker coloring wins out against the light! As the daughter of a blond haired, blue eyed mother and a brown hair hazel eyed father I can attest my coloring is my dads not my moms! As Ned said in season one “you may not have my name, but you have my blood”!

Perfection incarnate all in one single episode. The culmination of literally all the storylines that matter, it all collides into this one impactful and wonderful episode. Just insane. The music is part of that perfection too. What a soundtrack and epicness!
I really enjoy that in the end Cersei didnt outsmarted Margaery. From the first moment, Margaery knew something was wrong. She came first time, and even asked about Cersei. Later is interesting that Margaery is looking at everyone in the crowd. She notice that Cersei enemies were all there. Look how she got some conflit moments before she came to High Sparrow. That would been she could lose her advantage. I really like how she even tried to have a chared, a mask while trying to convince High Sparrow that something has wrong. But once she understood, that was all for nothing.
THIS is in my TOP 3 episodes, if not #1. The little wisp of wind that moves Cersei's bangs as she sips her wine watching the Sept blaze is cinematic genius!

Contrary to the opinion of most, and no spoilers, but, I’m fine with the ending of this series. Given the entirety of the progression of the show, I think it’s actually the most logical ending when you consider everything. But, these last two episodes of season six were definitely spectacular television!!!!

Fun Fact this was the first time Ramin Djawadi used piano in GoT's score.
The Targaryens usually keep their silver hair from inbreeding. But when a Targaryen was not born of incest, theres a chance they would look like the non-Targ parent.
Actually it's genetics. Dark hair and eyes are the expression of the dominant allele, while fair hair and eyes represent the recessive one. The dominant allele wins over the recessive one, but it can happen that two dark-haired and dark-eyed people have a baby with fair hair and eyes and this is because the recessive alleles in both parents showed up in their baby's genetics.
@@fagiolification11 true. Genetics in ASOIAF are a little weird though. It seems Stark genes are dominant over Valyrian genes.

If you mix a parent with dark hair and eyes with a parent with light hair and eyes, the baby will come out with dark hair and dark eyes (like in John's case). You can see this even in House of the Dragon, with Rhaenyra's first children: she's a Targaryen (recessive allele) and their father was a man with dark hair and eyes (dominant allele). It's just the way genetics work. Targaryens usually are all fair haired with light eyes (they should be purple but whatever) because they were the result of incest, to keep their blood (and features) pure. The Punnett square doesn't lie. 😆

You the first person I heard say Tommen might’ve thought his mom was in the Sept wow it makes since he thought everyone was dead.
One of my favorite things about this series and how it unfolds from season to season, is all the strong and powerful women taking charge in each kingdom. Watching all their character arcs, whether you love or hate the characters, is so impressive!

I didn't catch this until my third or fourth re-watch. If you remember back when Arya was Tywin Lannister's cup-bearer, he told her "lowbowrn girls say mi-lord, not my lord" Arya was saying "my lord" to Frey before she pulled her face off.

Tommen knew his mother wasn’t in there and he knew she was responsible for it. He killed himself because he basically worshiped Margaery. He didn’t want to live without her and he knew Cersei would be devasted by his death.

These two episodes back to back are peak GoT, imo.
Just a heads up, they did a Game of Thrones musical conducted Concert experience thing where the guy who does the music for the show lead a symphony of musicians in doing the game of thrones songs while they played footage in the background related to the scene. I watched it on TH-cam years back. As a fan of the music and the show, youlll love it.

The Stark children avenged the Red Wedding. Arya took care of Walder Frey and Jon and Sansa took care of The Bolton’s. Ned and Robb would be proud.
He had dark hair from his stark genes...Ned didn't lie he does have his blood half targaryen (fire) and half stark (ice)
I smiled from ear to ear when you noted that the piano is something new that we have not heard before... Ramin Javadi used the piano for this scene for exactly this purpose... in all 6 seasons he has never used the piano as main tool. He needed to create a sense of suspense and surprise. He told all this in a video about how he created this magnificent soundtrack "Light of the Seven". This is my favorite episode of all seasons and your reaction was amazing! True, I’ve never seen it take so long for someone to realize that Liana’s child is John😂 but it was also funny to watch

Just amazing how the rumor was true...and more. The Sept had a capacity for 700 people - and a lot of the aristocracy was in attendance; it wasn't just the Tyrell dynasty that was cut to the root, there was Uncle Kevan and many other Lannisters - and Cercei has no more children.

Jon Targaryen Stark the king of the freaking North!
It's a bit subtle but when Jamie's talking with Walder Frey towards the end of their chat you can see Jamie just being disgusted with being in the presence of such a man i loved that, the music, set locations and cinematography are very much characters of the show so when those things are amped up to a 10 like they were in this type of episode it's just an amazing viewing experience, I watched new episode live on my 70 inch 4K with 5.1 surround sound so these two last episodes of season 6 were freaking cinematic
