Bill Murray is at his wry, wisecracking best in this riotous romantic comedy about a weatherman caught in a personal time warp on the worst day of his life. Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer (Andie MacDowell) and a smart-aleck cameraman (Chris Elliott), TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities. But on his way out of town, Phil is caught in a giant blizzard, which he failed to predict, and finds himself stuck in small-town hell. Just when things couldn't get any worse, they do. Phil wakes the next morning to find it's Groundhog Day all over again... and again... and again. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
“If you gotta shoot, aim high. I don’t want to hit the groundhog.”
Always loved that line 😂
"Hi there mister, somethin I can do ya for?" is hilarious for some reason, just the way he says it
I always found it interesting that they showed Rita and Larry at the morgue to see Phil's body and that the day just doesn't restart once Phil dies.
Honestly I think it would've been hilarious if they ran credits there. At least just for a few seconds before snapping to the next scene. Then again, some of this movie's charm is from being before everything got so meta.
Only restarts for phil
Because the day doesn't restart until 6am, so he was still dead for a few hours. But yes, very interesting.
I think the lesson is that immortality sucks after a while
If you think about it, that was a big flaw in the plot, because in some deaths, Phil was too over the top (like kidnapping the animal), I assume a news like that would be, at very least,, know by all the US, that would imply that all the people of the country should be reset as well. Otherwise the spell didn't worked and it would create a paradox where others remember see Phill dies and others don't.

You can hear the groundhog burning and screaming here
Cinematic gold, never gets old.
Years later this movie still kicks
He might be ok……BOOM! Lol
nope he ain't okay!
Don't drive angry....
4:12 of course the legendary toaster bath moment
03:56
Would you like some toast?
No maam, I don't think you understand. I am TOAST
Everything should reset once he's dead. The fact that they don't means that everyone is looping but only Phil can remember prior loops.
The day doesn't restart until 6am, so Phil would still be dead for the rest of that one day
@@xennial80sxberner Correct. That's my point. The rest of the townspeople are looping as well and finish a complete day even if Phil dies.
Death has nothing to do with it. Phil's time is all that loops; he is the sole agent of change.
Her: Why would anybody steal a groundhog?
Him: I could think of a couple of reasons. WTF!?
And the fact that he said "perverts" after
look at the teeth on that groundhog, talk about living dangerously.
3:23 anyone else noticed the orange lamps relfected off the camera lens?
Carl and the gopher bury the hatchet and make a bid for freedom. It's just the two of them against the world. Beautiful.
I hear a little squeak in the second shot of the explosion. I bet that they had it much louder in the original edit but were probably told to tone it down.
that furry little thing reminds me of Caddyshack for some odd reason
This movie plot is MASTERPIECE 精典勵志劇本
Love this movie…✌🏻
I have always thought it would have been an interesting concept to start the next day one minute later if it was a good deed day ( looking to catch up with the present time ) and 1 minute earlier if it was a bad deed day ( coercive teaching )
Happy Groundhog Day
Hahahahaha I consider this is my favorite scene from the movie Groundhogs Day....I've been a huge fan of movie these past few years
That poor C-10.
The shorter of the two men in the top hats ("He just smiled at me!") is Bill Murray's brother, Brian Doyle-Murray.
You know if I were living the same thing of every day I would have lost my mind...if I were stuck in the same day
I go to this place every time someone at work annoys me
All good options to kick the bucket
That c10 is dope
Later in the movie it shows that Phil knows everything about everyone, and has become a talented piano player and ice sculptor. How many days, years, decades, or millennia do y'all think he re-lived Groundhog Day? I think at least 15 years to get very good at both piano and ice sculpture.
125 THOUSAND yrs.
luckily he can get away with moderate competence. because adult learning is inherently limited. it's more to do with brain differentiation than the time available.

In other clips, Ive seen estimated that he must have relooped between 30 to 40 years.😎

Oh well

So he finally ended it

Why didn’t Bill just stay awake all night
He did and then fell asleep, he woke up and it was February 2 again
Really
Its k
Why didn't Phil just travel the surrounding cities or states every day? I'm sure after 5 or 6 years he would have found a quick way off the town instead of going crazy spending so many years in the same place.
blizzard
Toaster in the bath is so funny, wonder how long before that gets banned by the snowflakes?
Bruh you're obsessed with snowflakes.
The Republicans who are scared of Mr Potato Head and the female M&M?
@@smileymalaise Meanwhile, SJWs get offended by white people existing. I've seen that too.
@@saberiandream316 no, you haven't. try to be less stupid next time you lie, because it's telling that you had to make up nonsense like that in order to match the nuttery that actually comes from the right, and not just from the fringe anymore.
Gotta end it someway
