Zack is the type of guy, who wakes up in the morning hoping that his Big Bottle will fit in his review car 🙏🏼🤷‍♂️

The digital display isn’t changing in between modes because it’s on the 3rd gauge selection. Cause the regular one is white faced but most people like the blue. If it’s set to switch on drive mode it will do the transitions

I was a passenger in a rental one of these. Man that divider is super annoying, reminded me of the car in Death Proof lol.

I’m originally from GA. I bought my first brand new car “2023 Hyundai Elantra Sel” back in November of 2022. I recently moved from Atlanta to Colorado. I have never driven in snow before because it never snows this much in the south. I need help knowing how to drive my car in this weather so I know how to handle it better. I currently still have the All Season tires that the car came with. I don’t have snow tires just yet because the move broke me financially.
I’ve already had braking issues in the “-“ negative cold temperatures. I really don’t want to crash my new car, so any videos on tips about this issue would be a great help to me. 🙏🏻

Our 2021 Elantra with the digital gauges does swap style between settings. It goes all red when you put it in sport

Cvts in most cars don’t mean it’s good it’s just the easiest and most convenient to put in these cars because it’s for casuals

I just hope all those screens and electronics hold up 10-15 years. Somehow I don't quite trust that they will.
Btw- isn't this Elantra made in US? Is made or assembled in US?

You should definitely check out Hyundais N line, the Elantra, Veloster, Kona Ns. It’d be great to hear your thoughts!

Yeah I think the current gen looks weird. Interior is a huge step up though.

@@wigletron2846 Agreed. Exterior rivals the 4th gen Prius in ugliness imo but yeah, Hyundai did an excellent job with the interior.

It seems like a good car but I still worry about the engine problems this may have knowing Hyundai's history with engine defects and recalls.

Appearance wise it's a pretty attractive car. I do agree with you that Hyundai missed their mark by not adding a fun display when switching the car mode to sport.

It actually does do it. The owner of that car has it set to one gauge look cause the regular white one is bright and not the best looking

Hyundai is checking all the right boxes. If you need a sedan you can do worse than one of these. I've heard that newer Kiyundai products age quickly but they look nice inside and have nice features. The styling is adventurous but it's distinctive. It's nice that the Japanese and Koreans and Germans haven't given up on regular sedans.
I don't like the 160MPH speedometer. These can probably do 120 but in daily use won't go much over 80. It would make sense to have to car's top speed as the max of the speedometer and have more resolution for the speeds that are regularly used.

@@jonathana-oy8io it's mostly the 2.0 and 2.4 NA GDI engines. I think these come with the 2.0 MPFI engine but I could be wrong as Hyundai/Kia puts loads of different engines in their cars.

stepping up their game? yes, by hiring more German car designers. but they're still cutting costs in frightening and ethical ways. The Alabama plant that supplies their parts hired undocumented workers including children. also there's the "kia boys" fiasco where the company didn't put chips on their keys, making them easy to steal. so no, still definitely not a good car company IMHO, also they still have CVT engines that don't have a great reputation, and despite having those super long warranties, there are stories of customers coming in with wrecked transmissions just after 30,000 miles and the company telling them tough cookies.

I think the 2017-2019 was the best generation of the Elantra. I think this 2022 is the ugly one. The Sonata is even worse.

  • @ryanglass2778
    @ryanglass2778 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Perhaps I'm the minority here, but I think this Elantra is ugly. Needless creases, swoops, and strange body lines that are forced together. It's not cohesive.
I thought that the 2011-15 generation was quite attractive and the "fluiditic sculpture " theme worked well.
I've always been a big fan of the Elantra and had two, a 2000 wagon and 2002 GT hatch, many years ago. But this gen is my least favourite.
Oh, and that pointless circle on the left of the dash, would drive me nuts
