    Just bought this car a few weeks back and it’s been great. You get a lot for about 21k. No complaints with the power. When you accelerate fast enough it’ll push you back in your seat. A ton of safety features and driver assistance, airbags all around and I’ve been averaging about 40 mpg with mostly town and country driving. Hyundai has the best warranty too, no one else even comes close. Also three years of complimentary maintenance, oil changes, tire rotation etc.

      Awesome thank you for sharing your perspective. What convinced you to choose the SE over the SEL trim, if I may ask?

    • @stevenkent1979
      @stevenkent1979 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@MucoGG A couple reasons. Mainly price and availability. With the ongoing supply issues in the automotive industry I was having a hard time finding an SEL being sold for msrp. Most dealerships are charging market price for their cars which means they’re adding a few grand on top of sticker price. The SEL would’ve been about 26k and that was before taxes and registration fees and all the dealerships I called didn’t have any in stock, I would’ve had to wait 4 to 6 weeks. After calling around I eventually found the SE I purchased and the dealer agreed to sell it for sticker price so I jumped on it. The SE and SEL are identical when it comes to performance and safety features. It’s true the SEL has more tech and a couple extra luxuries but I weighed the pros and cons and the things that were most important to me were also equipped on the SE. The SE also has a great infotainment system and comes equipped with CarPlay and I’m satisfied with that.

    • @MrCliffda3rd
      @MrCliffda3rd ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevenkent1979 True that. I only liked the SEL model because of the black wheels. You could always have the 15" alloys painted black or get black wheels down the road.

    One *IMPORTANT* thing to know about these big tires tho.
    To some, this is a downgrade, but to many who understand it, knows it's also an upgrade.
    these bigger tires are going to give you a MUCH MUCH more comfortable ride.

    I have the SEL which has a few upgrades from the SE, such as digital climate control, push button start, nicer wheels, and lock/unlock buttons on the door handles. I’ve had it for over 11 months and I’m absolutely in love it with. So many features for the low price. I’m leasing mine and I’m paying less than $200 a month with a $4500 down payment with 15,000 miles a year.

      But I can understand why people like plain looks. I don't. Some Mercedes-Benz cars look like cheap square bricks on the outside but they're 40k. I prefer an expensive looking cheap car than a cheap looking expensive car.

    The interior designer must be single or in bad term with wife .. if you're a couple you don't want a wall in between. People who had 70's cars will never want that thing…too bad they don't make old 70's front bench anymore. Honestly, i hope someone will figure out how to remove the center bar and add plugs or caps to hide the screws. There got to be a way to mod this thing. The infotainment on the 21 was full of bugs, iphone car play disconnecting all the time, couldn't use waze while listening to internet radio. Elantra suspension is still a fix suspension. That means if you damage your suspension, you can't adjust replacement parts and camber, you cars will be misaligned. You pay for what you get still.

    It looks that Hyundai / Kia have done same thing of Mazda, copying the fun to drive Alfa Romeo settings Japanese with personal exterior appearance Koreans bringing it down in price but still nicely balanced so you do not suffer being in one of the cheapest car on the market. Italian one still have another flavour and market positioning Alfa Romeo Giulia is incredibly that beauty was first day few years ago better of fresher last one. This is italian style! Last forever and you always will desire it so if you do not satisfied the wish you will be condemned to regret it forever too. Focusing on Koreans have done an amazing valuable job for an economic car that never feel as the cheap choice! My preference went to Kia Forte for aesthetic and small choices on base trim level as 16 inches wheels with 205/55 tyres.
    Toyota Corolla could be an alternative choice instead GM pushed with turbo in 5k dollars differently positioning Chevrolet Malibu still a good car as base turbo AWD Ford Maverick at same 25k about if you prefer trucks. Problem is for sedans sitting between those cars and Alfa Romeo or Mercedes, why waste money if you don't get something really desirable? Is better a mid trim Ford Fiesta / Fusion pair at 50k about or base trim Forte/Camaro (or all in one Giulia AWD 280HP) at same price? I will go on Giulia driving every day Camaro style in a Forte practicality, eventually splitting for the two cars but rejecting the two mid nothing Ford example!

      That’s a good question.. I don’t believe there are any outside of a $200 higher msrp. Appreciate the comment!

      The primary difference are just in the add on options. You can get interior lighting in lower trims than just the higher limited ones as an example.

      I see they added 2 back seat nets as well. They weren't available in 2021

      i have the 2021 and i didnt see any difference lol except for the add mod you can put on it, on the se you dont have the back light that goes all the way to the other side of the trunk unfortuntly, im wondering if i can add it cause i know they sell some on ebay, and the interior light under the dash..

      I bought the 2022 SE in black. My car is not loud at all & drives smoothly. I love the huge screen in Apple Play. The safety features are amazing. The bar is pretty cool too.
