OH MY GOODNESS. I have never seen a yt tutorial to be this slow and clear and spoon fed. I mean whatttttttt.... I am seeing this video on 2x but still this is soooooo clear. I write a lot of Runbooks, my rule of thumb is treat everyone like a noob, spoon feeding does get irritating if you have done this for a while and bashed your head against your keyboard long enough that the "F" and "J" indents are permanently imprinted on your forehead. to Learn the topic and then someone tells you something that you "Think" is common knowledge. I prefer his approach, it covers everything and what is 3 hours compared to 300+ hours learning it the hard way, sometimes looking at the combo list is better than figuring it out, especially if you have a 4 hour SLA.
Thanks for the awesome initial explanation. 19:30 - 4 phases of reporting in Power BI. 1:17:50 - Creating a date table using DAX. 1:33:00 - FORMAT function in DAX. Ends at 1:33:43. 1:52:00 - Creating relationships between datasets. 1:56:25 - One to many relationship data model. 2:00:15 - Fix the sort order(of column Month) of the visual. 2:03:07 - Fix the sort order in Data Model. 2:07:09 - Calculated Columns & Measures. The last punch tip was awesome.

That's a great approach. Instead of just focussing on visualization, he has explained background workings of data transformation and model view. Answered many questions that took me months and months to figure out.

As I’m currently working on a project, this video came in handy as I’m looking forward in automating my work. So, after working 4/10’s, awesome work, great benefits, now I want to make my computer works for me more efficiently as it will automate at least 5 of my current tasks leaving me with only 3 to take care of myself. ☺️
What a data source selection. Following this through a month later and we have some fresh data at the top of FDIC failed banks! Good thing we connected to it via the web so when the source added its first new row in 3 years our reports live updated to match. ;)

Longest YT video I have ever watched. Very informative and made it much more understandable. Once a report is built, is it possible to just update the excel each time you need to update the data? Or do you have to recreate relationships each time? Would love to get independent assistance with my specific reports.

Cool presentation, wish a bit more time was spent on transforming data, appending, pivoting queries. Also, although the creation of the new table showcased how data modeling works, the results from the second table could have been produced without creating a new table, Power BI can recognize data types and sort them in orders depending on that type. Overall a nice intro course to Power BI
