That day. Floated through Air, got lifted into space by Tame Impala, and then landed in heaven with LCD soundsystem. Primavera 2016 was the lineup that we'll never get again.
One of the very best experiences in my life... It's EXACTLY one week since this gig took place and it still feels like I'm living it right now. Literally priceless!

Its my dream to see LCD Soundsystem live one day. With every piece of live footage I've seen of them it looks like they're having the time of their lives, plus the sheer quality of the music!
This is 1/34th of what it feels like to be at their shows, it was so good! It took my soul and I wasn't ready for it

it was one of my biggest regrets not have seeing them play live before they broke up...and then this happenned....and made me the happiest person in the world being there. it was such a flawless concert with the perfect setlist, great sound, great atmosphere, great city, great performance.......AMAZING!!!
And they're on my bucket list now, time has passed fast last years, I'm in my 40s now.. See you soon in the Netherlands James and Co❤
Someone's Great.....is likely a track/song/tune that will be in ear buds everywhere......running, sitting in traffic, or, doing 55 across Lake Erie in an offshore, than there's mowing the lawns. I read somewhere that Murphy's parents passed away at an early age....and while he was a smart person, he needed the guidance provided by a mentor/figure who kept the path clear. The pain of loss just drips from every line.......with a back beat that motivates us to see the "Great" in the "Someone" we will all eventually have. Good Work, James

Just saw them at ACL and they were amazing!!
I managed to get tickets for the warm up gig at BARTS the day before the festival. The first thing I thought at the end of the gig was "We get to see this again on Thursday". Just the best.
This video as a whole it's completely awesome. The music, the performance, the audio, the lighting, every frame seems like a good photo moving and the editing. a lot of talent everywhere

DAMN! Whilst under the rock I was at, I missed this show. I cannot even imagine how incredible this must have been. This video conveys some of the energy, but....I totally lost out.
My BD is MAY 8, If someone wants to buy me tickets for my birthday, they will be at the Hollywood Bowl May 4 and 5th. Well, maybe I will buy myself the tickets. Also, I might mention that one of the things that first drew me to this band is James' who is still rocking out at the age of 47 years! GO!!!!

This is a great gig. Its a shame the audio is not mixed well in some songs. I don't know if it's just the stream or the mixing desk fucked up.

The beat drop in Dance Yrself Clean was pretty mild regardless of the sound. I was at this gig and I thought it was the only underwhelming song.
I think James murphy must tune all the levels to be perfect for the people who are actually there. I was at their Glastonbury set this year and I couldn't believe how crisp and perfect the sound was compared to everything else I saw. Same feeling as you though when I went back and watched it on TV. Doesn't give them justice at all!

Music is all personal opinion/preference but to me this sounds not catchy in the slightest, not really chilled, but not up-beat. I think it sounds almost like nursery rhymes or something, it's weird.

Can someone explain this "music" to me? I saw their show last night at the behest of a friend, and hours later I can't pick out one thing that makes this band so amazing. Literally this exact same show above down to the clothes they're wearing. Lyrics that are inaudible (like either half talking or screaming, without normalization), and repeats incessantly, samples and rhythms that may as well be looped, and a band that looks like they took a break from their careers as accountants and school teachers to play music at night. I don't get it, at all. What makes this band a phenomenon ? they broke up and got back together? Should have stayed broken up. I'm not saying I could make better music, but I am saying I'd rather listen to cats being run over by a car. Absolute garbage.

I don't get why so many people are amazed by this band. I don't get it. In a few months I'm going to see them live to figure out if they have a special thing that cannot be showed in videos. The esthetic of the band is too bad. And the singer's voice is awful. And he looks like a bus driver or truck driver instead of a singer
The feelings people connect to this music, or any music, makes it special.

Also, there has been many, many great bands with shit singers. Mick Jagger, he sounds great for the music, the quality of his voice is cool and people like it, but he's no 'singer'.
