@S8498 I was there, just for the day to see LCD, and it was - as you say - really wet, muddy and horrible. Also, T in the Park was pretty famous for being a place where 14-15 year olds go to get pissed, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers were playing the main stage at the same time, so they were all there. The crowd did get a lot bigger as the set went on. True professionals, they gave it their all for the fans who turned up, and it was a fantastic time
The crowd here was absolutely magical. Everybody was packed down the front but there was still enough space to dance and absolutely everybody was taking the opportunity to do so. Some random bloke next to me got with a woman twice his age (much to his mates amusement) and I ended up getting with a nice Scottish girl myself. Everybody was there to have a fucking nice time and nobody was being aggy or overstepping any boundries (unlike the rest of the festival). Skived my shift at a food stand to catch this and it was absolutely worth it. Like another commenter, I also caught them at Primavera (missed the mini show they did). Decided to park myself behind the disabled raised bit so I could see over the people in wheelchairs, but the fuckers stood up throughout the whole thing so I couldn't see anything! I'm personally glad this gig was empty - it was much more personal and the crowd had a single/collective mindframe. It truly was something special.
I was there, the band were awesome, the audience loved it and were appreciative, the vibe was great and love was in the air haha! So who gives a fuck what number of people shared that experience? People who weren't there maybe? A truly awesome set by a totally special band :-)
Remember this very well. You could easily squeeze through to the front with the small turn out due to the red hot chilli peppers. The people in that crowd had came to T in the Park just for LCD Soundsystem. Everyone was on the same boat and was genuinely just a another beautiful moment by people
The audio is so gooooood on this, thank you for uploading! I just saw them this past weekend at Wayhome festival, right up close...easily one of the best shows I've ever seen
Searched youtube for the best live gig of these guys... and this has to be the best sound quality, and set! Plus the crowd..... small enough as they are.... are lovin it!!!! 😀❤️
Excellent quality recording. I'm so happy about this. People at that festival who skipped them missed out. I don't care who else was on at the same time.
Ok, I*ve went through the 214 comments, looking for the cute girl in the title photo, who I read few Yrs ago saying " that was me!" wanted to read it again! 🤣 You lucky sucker anyway girl! Always makes me smile when I see you in the footage!! 💜
Blame organizers. They put them against RHCP which have quite a lot overlap in fan base. They should have put them against Calvin Harris the day before
As a Scotsman I apologise for my pepole. My cousin was there and enjoyed them but said she thought the singer was a rhode setting something up at first
So many things to love about this set, but right now my favourite is the kiddie singing to camera during Someone Great at 42:17 What an absolute diamond
i was there and it was absolutely amazing, despite that field being 20% full. everyone there had a blast. i'd say they were better than when i saw them in primavera. seen a lot of chat about the low turnout and the clash with the chilis but as soon as i saw that t in th park lineup i knew they'd get a low turnout. they just didnt fit in.
I think 20% is being generous. I saw them at Open'er in Poland and they were brilliant - not sure they'll do a tour of this scale again, and I don't think they will be going back to T in the Park!
Im losing my edge! This show is fantastic and you are so fortunate to have been there. Thanks to whoever invented video recording so we can all experience this without the distractions of dependance on other people in a crowd to enjoy an ecstatic experience. looks like the band was having fun !
My first time watching an entire LCDS show. Excellent! Hearing that melody and watching those girls dance at 15:00 made my day. If I were a dj I'd sample that shit all day.
was there the last time they played T,think it was 2005,in the slam tent which was a non stop arena so the boys had to beat match with the last dj and continue seamlessly, they played after miss kitten who played a storming set that must of been pushing 140bpm,and her last two tunes were dont go by awesome 3 into a banging edit of 2 unlimited r u ready for this, had the crowd totaly rockin!! was unsure how lcd would go down with the crowd and how they could possibly beat match at such a high tempo, but fair play to lcd,had the place jumping from the start and the drummer didnt miss a beat goin bout 140bpm,incredible gig,the place was rammed, with sweat dripping down the side s of the tent!!! incredible respect for this band, original in everything they do and the world of music is a better place with lcd soundsystem back in the game. can't wait for a new album.....
First time watching them live and of course was thinking why on earth is that crowd so small but if red hot chillis were playing at the same time... They sound even better live than on record though! They're underrated and ackowledged imo.

I was fine with the clash with the chillis, although the crowd was criminally small it was a only people who really wanted to see them that were there. It was a special show for that reason.
that bass in dance yrself clean needs to be turned up around 400% NEEDS TO HIT HARD when that shit comes in.... thats the lead sound the whole song is building to for those 3 or 4 minutes... its buried under the 10 drummers
Imagine going to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers over this. Reminds me of T in the Park 2003 when I was one of the handful of people who saw Death in Vegas rather than Coldplay.
i've been gradually getting into the band over the last few weeks but it was only until I watched this show that Losing My Edge makes sense now. absolute genius.
Some people I know would never have heard of them if it wasn't for me playing their stuff so I can't say I'm very surprised about the turnout. I'm glad. Who the fuck wants them to go mainstream.
This reminds me of Faithless Glasto 98 ... mud, cold and other distractions at the festival... but still the band turn out and smash it for a very receptive crowd..
I don't care how many people were there. I wasn't. But if I had been, I wouldn't have been standing still that's for sure. Saw them once @ Bristol 2003. Happy daze 🌞
i done 14 titps , that year the rain didnt stop all wknd so lots of people had enough by the sunday . it wasnt just this stage that was empty ., plus the chilli peppers were on at the same time .
I had a great time there though but it wass really sad seeing so many bands so empty. i think this is the best description of lcd i've ever seen
God damn. What a brilliant comment.
You won the internet with that comment
@@Jkiller2001I’ve never gone to a PTA meeting can you explain why/how?
Everyone's hating on the crowd being inappropriately small but no one seems to be acknowledging how great the people who are actually there are...

I'd pay a LOT to ensure festival crowds got no larger than this.

Smaller the better, saw them at Coachella and got close. They were amazing but I would much rather see them at a place like this.
There was only 40 people at the first sex pistols concert.
@@tonyqueen5314 You tell them mate

Muddy AF.
I keep coming back to this one in particular.

A rare chance to see LCD in an intimate setting.
Man...I just relate to James. He gives me middle age hope. Body and all. Love the guy.
I can never understand why such a good live band cannot be more successful.

The RHCPs with 1000s of fans OR LCD with 100s of fans....Love them both, but this is a no brainer.

I was equally as confused. why is no-one at this show...

I was just wondering the same thing myself. I just saw them last month in Ireland to a MASSIVE crowd. Madness that there's no-one there.
somebody told that they were playing at the same time of rhcp
awful weather all weekend plus the average age of T in the park was way down not to mention the clashes all probably contributed.
Red hot chilli peppers were playing at the same time, they were shite, left there to see these best decision I've ever made
Plenty of people in front, just not off to the side.
Manchester showed them the love.
Holy crap! Seth MacFarlane plays bass for LCD Soundsystem? Who knew?
seriously? I was in the Park Stage of Glastonbury this year to see Car Seat Headrest (in 11 in the MORNING) and there were even more crowd than this.
