New sub here! We are on Enchanted Princess in October and booked in a suite. But I just discovered you can bid for an upgrade, which we did. We bid on the Penthouse Suite but won't find out if we won the bid until 2 days before the cruise. Fingers crossed! 😁 Really enjoyed your video!
We will be cruising on Enchanted Princess in April. Your video is a very helpful tour and introduction to the ship. Thanks for taking the time to produce and share it.
The Royal Class ships are kind of traditional. The buffet area looked pretty incredible, extensive. I would do well on this ship. But is it right for everyone? I can see some picking other ships over this one because it isn't quite as contemporary in look/feel as the Celebrity Edge ships, Solstice to a degree, NCL's newest class, Virgin to a degree . But on balance, it offers everything Celeb does, maybe not as nice a theater or extensive deck area but it has the indoor music lounges where Celeb doesn't on the Edge ships. I counted Vista, Crown Bar and Grill (absolutely wonderful space) which is exactly the type of supper club environment I think is missing on the Edge ships that I think Celeb should do with 2 of their specialty restaurants. And HAL Pinnacle is similar too being traditional with a lot too offer plus HAL has that wonderful new-tech theater. The Princess live area is lounge like as well and a show area and really is kind of a brilliant space. Churchill's Cigar Lounge (Celebrity used to have Michael's Club then turned it into a suite retreat) so another plus for Princess though it is really small and not really as nice as Michael's was or the equivalent on the Royal Princess. Take 5 jazz lounge looks terrific and kind of intimate. "Another lounge" on the atrium that's called Crooner's and forget it, I'm in heaven. This is my kind of ship. I feel the same way about lounges that some feel about restaurants. If I had a choice, more lounges less restaurants but in actuality, let both types of lovers get what they want. Bring on the restaurants and lounges and both types of cruisers, and sometimes there are those that love both, are happy campers. I think this ship blows away the Beyond and other Edge ships. Like I said, it's not as chic. It's more traditional but it is just as upscale. And it has a bit more character, recognizably Princess. I feel it has more content in it and utilizes its space better for socializing with way more elegant socializing spaces where the Beyond is a whole lot of restaurants and a few social spaces. The Princess theater may not be quite as nice as the Edge ships but it's really elegant in its own right and probably big enough. It also seems Princess didn't place specialty restaurants in the atrium area. The atrium has lounge-like overlook circular areas and again, this kind of blows away the Grand Plaza on the Edge ships. I may even like this more than the Solstice class ships. It has more lounges but the Solstice is a stylish ship with some lounges. One thing I do notice is Celebrity has no announcements where I do hear them on Princess. I think it's more premium not to have them. Points go to Celebrity here. Both Celebrity and Princess seem to offer premium ships here. But I think, overall, Celebrity, on Edge ships, crams its social activities into the Martini Bar and The Club and Eden where Princess spreads them out into many lounges. That's where the Princess ship is just a more social ship. The Princess buffet seems to equal Celebrity's with the Edge having the nicer looking buffet IMO. Maybe Celeb wins at more specialty restaurants and depending on the type of cruiser, it's either a plus or minus. Both have them, but Celeb may have more variety of them. And Celeb probably does the suite thing better. Gelato, free or extra cost on Princess? I prefer that small area cafe like vs. the huge Cafe al Bacio on Celebrity. The food looks great. Celeb or Princess? I really don't know. Celebs may be a bit prettier. I love your tours. This one looked a bit tougher to do as it was embarkation day and that's why there were so many announcements. I think this ship is great and I'm impressed by it. I think it's a better ship than the Edge ships and equal to HAL's Pinnacle class of ships. Maybe similar in quality to Cunard's Queen Victoria in at least the regular class areas and access. Overall, the Edge ships in terms of variety are last but they have novel areas like Eden and a chic/contemporary yet a bit classic quality lacking in HAL and Princess. The shows on Edge are probably more contemporary and the theater is more high tech with its screens. The Edge ships win in terms of variety of dining venues so if you are on the ship to experience dining in many fabulous venues, there's no beating them and especially if you are a suite passenger. HAL and Princess seem very close in terms of offering music/dance venues plus restaurants plus deck areas. They all have great buffets. Food overall may go to Celebrity but probably not by much. But it seems the foodie ship of the 3. Princess the romantic lounge ship and HAL a mix of the two but also more of the lounge that out and out foodie ship that Celebrity is. If Celebrity can get back their great lounges from the Century class (Crystal Room on the Century and the Savoy Nightclub on the Galaxy are two of my favorite lounges on any ship), then they're brilliant. But it'll have to be in the ships that follow the Edge class. Celebrity really has to think of bringing back more social and music venues of the type Princess and HAL offers.
"This one looked a bit tougher to do..." Truth be told, Benjamin, some of our ship tours are done when we're invited to explore the ships for just a few hours. They're rushed, and we don't feel like they're our best work. But often, fans like the videos anyway. We prefer to be on a ship for a few days, at the very least, before we film it and opine on it. We like to see how it operates, how the crew does their job, how the food is, how the entertainment is, etc. That way, we can give a better assessment to our audience and clients. Quick tours often become more like a sales pitch and less like an honest review. We started this channel not to be shills for the cruise lines. We started it to be advocates for our audience and clients. You may have noticed that, as compared to other cruise TH-camrs, we're not always falling all over ourselves to say nice things. Sometimes, we just have to call them like we see them - much as you did in your commentary. Our integrity is more important than what the cruise lines think of us. Our reputation depends on our audience and clients being able to trust us. All of this is our long way of apologizing for the "tough" look of this ship tour. Again, we appreciate your compliments and engagement. Hopefully, you're also a subscriber. 😉 If not, please consider subscribing. And share our videos with everyone you know! lol 😂 We're trying to get to 10,000 subscribers! 😍
Movie under the stars is one of my favorite things to do on a cruise.. it's so relaxing!

Hi… I enjoy your videos..we are going on both the enchanted princess, and the celebrity Beyond…dos you find one to be much better than the other?
We definitely prefer Celebrity's Edge series ships. The Beyond is extraordinary. We hope you'll have Capt. Kate while on board. 🥰👍
