The amount of passion you show for our sport’s history is staggering, preserving this legacy of two stroke racing will go down in history as wonderful! I don’t think any EV motorcycles will ever deserve such a tribute. ❤🙏
That’s the first time I’ve seen someone of your stature in the community agree with me about the old Suzuki’s. I’m not crazy. I tricked out my 93 back then. Being a welder I wanted an exhaust I did myself. So I got a job for a few months at Dynoport racing in upstate New York. Cone pipe, super trick. At one of our woodsy tracks everyone commented on always knowing where that “works bike”was. Love the Alby look, thanks
Amazing work on all of the bikes. The yz250 sounded great in the small clip. I have a One Industries black seat cover for a cr250 if you ever need another seat cover for a build.
Amen to the Suzuki comments at the end. So sad they haven't put much recent development into their bikes but their 250 2Ts were a dream!! Always looking for a trick 2008 Suzuki RM250
I’ve been on KX500’s since 1994 trail riding with friends and racing desert my last KX was named HULK. It was the fastest and best handling 500 I’ve ever had.
Its amazing and all credit to the guys who put this event together that this is the most anticipated event in the motocross calendar in England. Says how great the era of 1980s and 1990s 2 stroke motocross was.
What a collection!! The kx 250 2001 is my favourite used to have one I sold it 🥹 biggest regret of my life always thinking about it. Keep the videos coming can’t wait for the weekend 💨💨👍🏻
Doc I really enjoyed this episode. I couldn’t agree more about the way all the bikes turned out. I’m like you Doc, I just can’t help but hold the Suzuki’s in the highest regard. Just finished a 2005 RM85 for my collection. Best of luck at the VMXDN
My son and I are restoring a 2006 RM 85 as well. Adding to our 2003 & 2007 DR650's, 2016 & 2018 KX450's, and a 2015 & 2019 KX85 & KX100. It's a ton of work but very satisfying
I'm always surprised at how little subs Docwob has ,this conent is what wet dreams are made of . I've been a huge fan of Wobs for 30 odd years . So C'mon people get subscribing . Good look this weekend ,I will be watching from afar unfortunately 😒😒. That RM at the end ffs Wob that should be hanging on a wall for everyone to see .....
👌🏻I used to love my Kx 250 but for some reason I used to have to replace my kickstart shaft every other week,I think it had more compression than my cr 500 to be honest.I asked my local dealer but I think he was just happy taking the money for parts 👍🏻
thanks doc for show us that amazing work, those bike are something else, please dont stop making these content , long life 2 stroke gretting from chile
Hi doc absolutely stunning machines you are amazing. Do you know if the vmxdn is going to be live streamed at all as I will be in hospital having treatment so can’t attend (gutted) ps loving your work 👌👍
19:32 I don’t know why but Suzuki always been my favourite… gutted I sold my 06 rm250 in 2012…£1400 to a friend 🤦🏼 Now I own a 2016 rmz 450 £2800 that wants to kill me, I don’t think I’ve been out of 3rd 😂
@@docwobtv I was at the weigh in for the Carlsbad USGP on year & the factory Yamaha was having trouble making weight so they took off the ""FACTORY"" front wheel & fit a stock unit, problem was the REAL HEAVY DUTY wheel was heavier than the stocker and the weight went the wrong way. I didn't have all day to wait & find out how they ""CORRECTED"" that situation!
@@docwobtv I tride looking out for them all but lost track of them apart from Tommy, I was expecting a clean sweep with the effort you put in but I think a lot of people must have put the same effort in ...... Wow what an event well done
I went to great lenghts trying to figure out how to make my aluminum case covers look like your magnesium ones . Took quite a while to come to that realization 😬
Hello from Ireland ☘️ Absolutely brilliant 👌 cant wait to get there on Friday. Gonna be mega.. quick question. Do u guys use a certain product to make the tires look very black 😊
Hey Doc, these builds are amazing! Have raced a couple of late model cr500s and my father and I have just started working on a 89 YZ490. Is there any options you know of to get rid of the z spoke design. Cheers Toby-NZ
I guess you could fit some newer YZ 250 wheels to it, as always there would be a bit of engineering needed I expect, why get rid of the z spokes? They’re cool
What brand of 2st oil & what ratio do you fit into your stable of fine steeds??? or is it a different situation for each brand/year of bike? Thanks for the ""HARD TO FIND"" & ""EXPENSIVE"" display of real CRAFTSMANSHIP & LOVE that you put into all these time capsules back to the wonder years of motoing with a sound right before the gate dropped that you FELT just as much as you heard, not quite like a top fuel car, but a feeling all its own. I don't know if I will like the stealth lack of sound that 40 electric bikes will make going off the line, just another thing to be ready for, I reckon, but how do you make one of those any better???
I think the electric bikes will un-do a lot of the damage inflicted on our sport by the four strokes, sure I’ll miss the noise but the 4 strokes sound crap anyway, I think electric will open up more riding areas and get new blood into the sport which can only be a good thing! On oil we run maxima and 500cc to 20 liters
@@docwobtv Thanks Doc. Maxima Formula K2 @40:1. I fear the total lawlessness of the electric bikes, from the Sur-Rons all the way up to that (for now) awesome Varg, the stealth along with them being ridden EVERYWHERE & especially over here where the ONLY LAWS we have enforced are for CCP-19, masks & all and a bunch of people will be hit & killed because they are so fast & quite, with NO L/P number to report & a total clusterfuck is in the making, I fear!
I live in Barry, south Wales.i got a 2001 yz125..bottom end went so I bought a complete engine rebuild kit, crank nnrod all assembled, all the bearings, seals, gasgets ...I took it to a garage by me and 5 weeks later he still hasn't started it.i ask about it and he speaks to me like shit..he did say he'd do it between jobs for 200£...and it will be a few weeks. Am I being a pain asking him each week and as he said £200 cash job.. should I just give him time or go get the engine and parts back.if so,where can I send my engine.please help....
