Doc I always say Micheal Pichon Championships snuck under the radar. I watched the races from 2001, 2002 and even 2003 against Stephan Everts and the “Diesel“Yamaha 400 4 stroke are must watch racing. Those two guys really slugged it out. I’m glad one of Pichon’s bikes found it’s way to you because you will give it the TLC this RM250 deserves. I’m with you all the way, being a Suzuki guy myself⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The exhaust note from Pichons machine was unreal, hard to describe, but was more like a works 500, mellow, and just gave the impression of pure torque from the motor. M.P. on that at VXMD 2025 ? So much wonderful knowledge and experience , thanks for giving us all such an insight into another world. Keep up the great work.
I never realised how trick that 500 was. I just thought they were big fibreglass panels that just replaced the stock panels. Those tanks look so cool, do you not know anyone who worked on the team back then?
Hey Doc, from TX USA, love these older works bikes. Just curious, why someone sell their championship bikes??? Maybe they have too many lol. What ballpark would this restored RM bring?
The thing I am most interested in is the work they do to the engine could you show us how they polish the ports cylinder work is there any one you know to make a custom made piston & ring a brand new cone welded "BILLS" pipe would look good they always used to work the best on the Suzuki
idk about the UK but in usa true works bikes were banned because it got to the point where the whole bike was custom made and privateers weren't able to compete with the factory riders. now you have to use a factory frame and engine cases I believe.
Hate to point it out but pichon won the world title in 2001 and 2002 2003 events won the new Motocross GP class smelts won the 500 class and Ramon the 125s 😬😬
How did a Factory Suzuki get away with running a Honda front brake back in the day? Was there not any regulations to using a competitors equipment? Bit of an embarrassment to be using a rivals bits.
If there is anyone in the world who can be trusted to do this resto right, it’s Wob. Can’t wait to see the results 😎
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Oh yeah it’s wild!!
Great comment. I to thought it was just a gimmick of the time to bring attention to a brand.
Very, very exciting projects and video👏👏👏

Thank you!!!
Any chance to get the plastics of the bike? (Front and side-number plates)...?!
Wow will have to make sure I haven’t thrown them
Pichon was selling his 2001 or 2002 championship bike recently. Idk if he ended up selling it yet?
Not sure, there are a few out there, this one is the full real deal mind!
Looks like the factory bike Josef Dobes and Antti Phyronen were using at Kurz Suzuki in 2004 or so.
That could also be right as they were factory supported. But this is Pichons. 100%
Wow ! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
What do you
think of mx revivals Ricky Carmichael replica rm250 which aired today ? I think it looks well trick
I have one, a real one!

Hey man!!! Honestly some riders and teams just need the cash flow for the new season. It’s a shame we know!
It will be for sale??
One will and one won’t!
@@docwobtv how we can get in touch?
Love to see these special Honda cr 500, do you also have the tricky ( banana) silencer from this bike?
Yes we do

The pipe is the factory one and will be brought back to its former glory no doubt
Pukka stuff as always rob.
Cheers kid!
Damn even with a second run of bikes Suzuki was still 4th in sales of the Japanese that year.
Gutting realtor how good they were!
@@docwobtv that generation of RM is a thing of beauty
🐻💙💙💙💯
😎and 😎👍🏻
Thanks man!
mag cases? what?
Oh yeah!
What’s the difference between “factory” and “works”? You seem to interchange these words so I am assuming they mean the same thing?

Only in the AMA not in Mx Gp. It’s relatively the same word. “Factory” does mean Worx bike! It’s Factory!
Jacky Vimond and Bryan myserclough wob
"The gUy's been riding it".. Effing brilliant, thats what bikes are made for, not to be displayed in someones living room
Yeah there was a funny face pulled at that 🤨
No quarms on riding it! Just do the up-keep!
I’m guessing the low tanks were to lower c of g. I take it that design philosophy didn’t work as modern bikes don’t use that design.
Exactly!
Hate to point it out but pichon won the world title in 2001 and 2002 2003 events won the new Motocross GP class smelts won the 500 class and Ramon the 125s 😬😬
It was a trick question sonnie !
😂
@@davekingvmxdnlovely looking piece of kit though 👌🥰
You don't hate saying because your saying it lmao
