My 02 RM250 has been with me since it rolled out of the dealership. It is listed in my living will to my sons. They love that bike as much as I do. I’m happy to see that these RM250’s are being appreciated for the tremendous machine that they were and are. Don’t Forget Micheal Pichon won two 250 MXGP Chamiobships on these machines. Just an all time great bike.
You can always appreciate when someone really knows how to ride a 2 stroke. Burpin it in the corners to keep it cleared out. Little burps in the air keeping it 💯 👌🏼
Damn Ping you looked really good on that bike. For being a guy who never raced a two stroke 250cc bike you handled that bike like a veteran. Thanks for posting this.
I'll always love Suzuki and will never switch to another brand but it's sad to see how they are doing at the moment not just in mx but almost pulling out of racing worldwide. Hope they can come back on top again soon. They make the best looking bike in my opinion whatever anyone says.
Same! So sad.... win moto gp and quit... compete in suoercross with a last update 2018 rmz. Obviously kens is modded but just imagine suzuki putting in full effort.
Beautiful bike ! You are one of the only industry tester/ journalist that actually knows how to ride a smoker ! The suspension looks like it's working excellent and is a barking motor ! 😁👌
Great video, Ping !! These Suzuki's were top-flight winners at the end of their run and it is great to see guys like this pay tribute to those machines.
Man that's a Beautiful Suzuki.I've still got my O'Neal race pants from back in the day, Yellow and Blue with Suzuki down the leggs that would go great with the big.The last RM 250 I raced was an 82.I know that this bike has better suspension and a better Power band.👍👍👍
Holy cow ping. One of the best videos ever man I love this stuff. Now I see what you were talking about some new things coming around the pipe when you stopped the ask ping thing. Keep it up bro great stuff God bless
Put your efforts into leaving the cities, buying a piece of land, building a simple house with big workshop, having your own track and a monster 2 stroke to ride everyday
I had an 01 and an 04 rm 250. The 04 had the Eric gorr 295 kit, but only because the previous owner paid for it. Late model rm250's sound so much better than a 250sx! So much meaner!
Yeah, i mean another reason why you get upset with FIM and AMA for allowing the fourstrokes to have the advantage displacement wise, i can imagine the majority growing up around the globe were two stroke families, lets say from the 80s through 90s and early 2000s. Is there a renaissance coming? It sure feels like it, more and more people rebuilding these machines and elevating the interest such as two stroke nationals, EMX over in Europe, every now and then you see people even try to qualify for supecross. As Ping said, if Suzuki just open their vault and put it into production it would still be great. Honestly, Honda, Kawasaki , Suzuki needs to revaluate their decisions and start producing them again, they would sell. And btw AMA needs to erase that stupid displacement rule, and the manufactures should listen to their customers. (KTM and Yamaha) smart enough to dominate that market, why the rest allow them too, it's a mystery to me. Nvth, amazing bike Spencer. Such research and hard work is truly a thing to admire. Also cool to see ping going very fast on these machines. Cheers to a cool build!
I left racer x because there were some people there I didn't want to work with any longer. Lindsay changed my program at Vital and I wasn't interested in staying. I don't need to do this... I have multiple jobs. I do this because I love it, and that gives me the freedom to leave when I'm not happy.
Its literally like a piece of ART beautiful 2 stroke.
#DU Dr
Literally one of the sweetest RMs I've ever seen.
Always wanted to get me a 97-05 to rebuild and put the McGrath Suzuki of Troy graphics. This bike is so awesome. Thanks for sharing Ping!

There is a great clip here on youtube of Pichon battling Everts on the 250 against the 450, Pichon on the pipe!
@@mikebrown41182 I’ve watched it!!! Pichon was F’n amazing. Just WFO for the entire race‼️

I had a 2006 RM250 and I had to get rid of it in a Divorce and I have never felt as good on a bike as that bike.
Between that sound (the smell must be incredible too) and the overall look of that bike - damn son. Great video Ping!
OMG that sound😍. Ping can sure still ride the shit out of a motorcycle.
Crisp!! Nice video guy’s. 2 strokes…make motocross great again.
A Pro Circuit prepped two stroke is a crisp machine. I have one in green!

Ping looks so fast! Pumped to see Whiskey Throttle grow and takeover!
The smell of mixed gas & sound of 2-strokes at the track on Sunday's can't be replicated

Suzuki would sell the shit out of that bike if they put back into production
Ping, I really like this type of content, look forward to more. Watching you ride it then talk about it is a blast!
Damn that thing sounds crisp & throaty!
That was the best bike I’ve ever owned.
I loved mine so much I decided to never sell it👍🏼
Raced a Suzuki for 20 years as a vet.
Always sounds good w a pro on it, RM 250 was good from 96' and up in my opinion. Nice job Ping!

Loved that motor. Was used for Hare Scrambles etc..
It smells like.. like victory.
Nice one boys! Leant most of what I know from an 80’s rm80. Its lovely to know that the culture and sport is still alive🤟
Holy shit can I please ride that???????

Ping ripping in this!!
I want an Rm250 now
Love that track!
Cool, now I need golden spectro incense for the full meal deal.
1:57 is a lesson in how to asbsolutely grease a corner. holy shit
I raced with twins brothers, the Luczac bros in D14 in the late 80s ..
these RMs were the last nice looking 2t's (until GasGas showed up).
I had an 01 and an 04 rm 250. The 04 had the Eric gorr 295 kit, but only because the previous owner paid for it. Late model rm250's sound so much better than a 250sx! So much meaner!
I like short vids. 3 hours is too much for me.
Freaking awesome bike. Sorry folks....MX and SX is 2-STROKE....and always will be.
