Thanks to this guy I will never get a flat tire ever again
I mean if you drive in reverse but your front tires are already flat by time the magnet gets to the nail.
@@logangomez2313
He's saying that, thanks to this dude picking up all the nails, he doesn't hafta worry about catching one & getting a flat.
Why don't busses and city vehicles have magnets that do just that. Or they should add them to the street sweepers
@@garysawatzky8357they are on some street sweepers but that’s a good idea with the city buses
@@garysawatzky8357Right that would be an excellent idea have a long magnet that mounts under the front bumper of the busses letting it hang down somewhat close to the ground to collect any metal thats on the roadways..
In the 90's ,we would just build a panel the same size as the back seats back rest. Just one big panel with 12's or 15's that sealed off the trunk from behind the back seat and put sound deadening (the foil type sticky insulation) everywhere in there, the trunk lid, the rear trunk quarter panels, everything and just turned the whole trunk into the box. Old school Cadillac's from the 70' ( i use to own a 76 cadillac fleetwood brougham with a 500 big block, with square headlight, not the round ones from earlier models, i wish i had never sold it)onward were sold with a mechanism in the trunk lids latch that made the truck lid seal better(imagine a mechanism in the trunk latch that uses an electri motor that kinda vacuumed down the trunk lid), those were the best cars to turn the whole trunk into the box. Those are great memories. ✌️
This set up probably creates some sort of vacuum phenomenon if you tried to pop the truck with it on after being closed
Yeah, I remember ppl damaging their cars. After a few months of Drunken Silliness. And, A few Tickets for disturbing the peace. They had to get work done to tighten it back up. Cause the value Really Went Down! It was Wise to Put Pioneer 6x9s. Or, Kenwoods in there. And, Keep rolling. I, Got tired of seeing really nice looking Cadis in front of Dump houses. That looked like they were gonna Fall Down. But, That Car took all presidents. Some ppl I'm glad they Fkd up their cars. I, Do Still like a nice 80's. But, They are Becoming kinda few. YOU CAN get 2 Bass Drums. And, Some other Gear in The Trunk. 😁. Fill the Back seats with Gtrs. Amps. The Mixer. And, P.A. Amp. And, 3Guys Crambed in the Front. lol.
Man the ole Dunk truck rattle is a noise you just don't forget. xD
Some of old Lincolns had that same trunk mechanics.. 88's did fer sure
It was called pull down feature and its still used nowadays. Mercedes been using it on there doors for a few years now!
I'm pretty sure I would have inverted it regardless of the hydrophobic mesh for one to show off the motor and basket and keep the terminals and wiring from Any possibility of moisture and corrosion But then again he couldn't have a flush install like he does now So still a clean install
Focal told me that the voice coil leads don’t corrode, they ‘patina’.
Oh I think we know the real reason you would want to install it the other way around...
You'd be locked and loaded to fight back against the others who are thumpin' down the road!
Yeah, I would orient it the other way. If the cab is your enclosure, then it wouldn't be inverted, actually this way is inverted.
I’d go with the basket inside seems like it would make more bass as the inside of the vehicle would be perfect size for this sub at full power
It's one of the cleanest infinite baffles I've seen🤙
It baffles me.
it isnt though. its just a big box for a speaker.
@@johnmachter40 What? It definitely is an infinite baffle 🤦♂️
only when the rear hatch is open. the cabin space is the baffle. picture a speaker with the driver in backwards. it is semi-open baffle when the rear hatch is open. perhaps entirely. but when the car has all the windows up. its a typical sealed cabinet. I wonder if you can tune it by winding the windows up and down?
@@holeshotinspectionllc2412
@@holeshotinspectionllc2412 an infinite baffle implies a closed box that is large enough so it is not an air suspension system. i think this car isnt practically one.
Works great in the rain
Actually, yes. Because as he mentioned you can put a hydrophobic mesh under the driver.
Put that thing full blast, and all the raindrops will just bounce right off the windshield... No wipers needed
........and deaf, you might end up deaf if you put that thing full blast 😂

Back in the day we used to mount woofers on baffle boards (take out the back seat). Nothing pounds like a band pass box though. Just takes up so much space
And have shit sound quality.
That depends on the speaker my 15” b52’s in a sealed box could easily blow Bandpass out the water bandpass we’re good for low deep bass but the mid and high didn’t sound that great but to each there own but I never had problems going low with sealed boxes if you built them the right size
@@Turnheadcough band pass, as their name suggests, plays a certain band and that depends on the build. Many spl builds use bandpass boxes becUse they will play a tone very loud at the expense of the other frequencies. Sealed boxes do the same thing. If you want the best of both worlds, sound quality and spl youll get a custom build properly ported box. Period
@@kennethdurkin8621just got 1 made for some old ass audiobahn 15s I had in an older car that sounded pretty good even with the box having to be way too small for them. I had a 2000w d-class running em then. Now I've got a little old pioneer 750w or something around that & they've never sounded so good. I don't know what all that math & crazy frequency shit & other crazy shit was all about. But the mf knew his shit when he started putting it together. Only cost me a zip a loud for him to build it for me too 😂😂😂
@@dougboyatt2927 and if that box is in your trunk and the speakers are facing the front bumper, turn the box around so you can see the speakers when you open the trunk. Same with a hatch. Your speaker will sound the best when they have something solid to fire off of, like the rear of a car. Downfiring will also sound amazing as the deck of the car is pretty solid to fire off of. Firing off into air wont sound as good unless you have enough woofer, like min 2 15s and i would still fire back or downfire them in nearly all applications. Firing forward in a wall is acceptable....anyway, professionally built a ported boxes are the best way. There are programs that high end shops use to get the proper port and box dimesions and done right its the best sound.
Am I the only person remembering the Kicker "Free Air" subs from the late 90s after watching this?
The Pioneer's with the wrench on the cone came in infinite baffle series too.. I never was a believer in an infinite baffle..
Yep I had them in my car. I still have them & they bump. Ive been using them in my home speakers, if I point them towards a corner the bass is insane in the living room.
Don’t have to worry about the front wave and rear wave affecting each other this way. It’s like the guy who put his subs on the roof he made his car the box to. Good idea actually!
Well infinite baffles aren't exactly a new idea 😅
Bro woke up one day and said: I'm going to tune this car below 10Hz
The SPL this car gets at such lows with only 1700w is unbelievable
Did 4 10s like this in 2000' Orion amps lows was in fact pretty good
I’d love to hear what it sounds like in person that’s an odd looking set up but no disrespect here that system as clean as fuck
Extremely loud and LOWW. Probably a near 160 at 20Hz with only 1700w. Very efficient sub
Love stereo integrity. Great stuff. Super pretty amps
Have you guys seen that car with the subwoofers mounted on the roof , Firing into the cabin ?? Pretty sick
Can u send a link
Yeah, I just took a shit in their front seat! You're welcome.

Run Flat tires drive to the tire repair shop
Honestly even with a 15" sub, or any decent sized box, the spare is impossible to access anyway, unless it's mounted under the car.
Once the speaker gets so big the required air space is the entire car lol 😂

Daqui a pouco os caras vão por rodas nos woofer's, e dirigir !!!
This is a pinnacle moment in stereo world
IDk how good that would sound
My uncle had an 18 inch Rockford sub in his late 80’s mercury sable. The box took up the whole trunk and was ported through the rear deck of the car. I remember him saying he paid thousands of dollars for the amplifier. This was in the early 1990’s. My grandparents talked so much shit behind his back for spending so much money on something like that.
The car is the enclosure 😂😂
The car space is the speaker enclosure. Outside is going to be firing some frequencies from underneath wow what a set up.
My man’s doing the lords work collecting all the screws bolts and nails off of the road to save tires
Picks up nails too!😂
I wonder what he’s running for power though? That’s always been a problem with high power systems you need an alternator that’s keeping up with the amp draw. I have one custom alternator that puts out about 169 amps at idle and like 367 at 3800rpms. Still running an extra battery and capacitor. Getting a solid ground is key(raw metal, no paint)
I heard u can run ur ground to the negative to ur battery for a ground.

Rail road tracks 🚂 "Do I look like a joke to you?" 😂
That is wicked. Awesome job and at what a cool idea love to see that thing pounding some bass

I should install two of those in my cargo van like that.
This is one of the CLEANEST installs. Literally cleaning the streets of metals that could cut my tires.

That ain’t a car with a subwoofer 🔊 that’s a subwoofer with a car 🚙
This is actually how I found out some OEM subs are mounted! Particularly in a 2022 range rover, quite odd but it works!
