Love seeing the openness about the struggle, its good to know the ups and downs when I am watching people. When they only post success and good things I feel disconnected because I struggle a lot bodily with sickness and mentally with pressure. Thank you for being open. Love the content. Kyle, what a great talk about your beautiful wife and seeing the need to help her! Very heartfelt and so real life. Carrie works very hard and and so do you! She is very good at what she does, but oh my, how life comes crashing down at any moment! I love that you are keeping it real and showing that life is hardwork and we really have to enjoy the fun times and push through the tough times! Love your videos. Reselling is extremely hard work and you have to remain so disciplined. You both do a great job and team together well!

I see the summer as a season to buy. I see the fall as selling season. It helps me to remain calm during slow times by recognizing that summer produces less profit. Have you noticed that summer clothes are worthless than winter clothes AS A RULE? Home decor is the same. People spend less on 4th July decor that Halloween or Christmas and what they buy is plastic AS A RULE. You can expect sales to be down just because of that single dynamic. Sales are slower or lower in the summer so learn to appreciate the down time because sales will boom after Labor Day and it will be non stop until January. FYI I LIST LIST LIST all summer. I just don't worry about it selling. Every item has its season.

Kyle, you and the kids can do 90% of the house stuff. There’s no reason she should be doing that too. She also homeschools the kids so dude, take all the cleaning and cooking off her plate! ❤
Definitely helping Carrie out. I’m out sourcing inventory and taking all the pictures everyday. Also I make meals often, play with the kids spend time with her and help any way I can.
She’s not alone, she’s just opening up about daily life.

Yea great idea Kyle, cooking, cleaning, and doing activities w kids definitely helps. I like getting a break when hubby takes kids out while I do work at home. Just an uninterrupted time helps to propel productivity. Keep up the good work and support.

It was super encouraging. I’ve been in a slump lately with eBay and battling mental and physical health issues as well. Trying to climb back out and get work done. I love to see the real side of others cuz it makes me feel normal.

Being a jeans seller in summer is brutal. You have to mix it in a bit more during summer. More shorts, shirts, new with tag items. Make sure you have savings in the bank to last the season.

I'm with you on those bags. We bought those once. My wife likes them more for some reason. Not me. They rip, I can't reopen them if needed and they are even more slippery.
Yes on those bags! On the plus side i like the white pull away strips but the tear open so easily and no stretch at all.
Love yall’s content. Appreciate the open honesty about sickness and blues. Hard once your down to get out of the rut, my trick is to get out of the house and get active, clean 1 room/thing really good, and a supportive wife. I think Kyle and you make a great team. Keep your head up. Kyle never say anything about her makeup… you risked d&ath there! I hate those cheap bags and I accidentally order them 1 ever 6 months for amazon.

I have a much smaller store than you guys and work solo but I was sick for two weeks in May and just getting my store back on track here in July. I'm glad you are feeling better and getting your store back in order.

Just started watching your videos. I took me a couple of videos to confirm you are in the same region as me. So that's pretty cool to watch you shopping the same stores. I'm surprised you can find any jeans in the regular GW, most of our stores are $15+ for anything of Levi's quality or higher.

Ive only had 3 sales all week. Taking one day off completely killed my store.

I've been feeling very discouraged lately because I just decided to go full time on ebay and July has been ROUGH. It's reassuring to see that even top sellers have problems now and then.
Thank you love your videos, very helpful!! What bags do you use. I saw where you "ran out" of the normal bags and those are the ones I would like to know. Because the back up bags are the ones I use and yeah not real flexible and tear often.

What bags do you use to organize stuff in the boxes? I am trying to figure out a better organization system for clothing I've bought to resell and am probably overthinking this.

Hey, I also am hoping you guys are ok. But I just noticed...your selling fees were 48%? Is that because you did free shipping on some items?
If I send out 20 packages that day from the day before sales but only sold 15 packages that day, selling fees will be higher than normal. Selling fees include shipping labels.
Love your channel! When you take pictures, do you have overhead lighting on or are you in a room with lights off and just ring/photo lights? I've been having issues with getting the color in my photos to match the item. The color is way off. Greens are looking brown and the color with fading on jeans is a little off. I don't know if I need a new phone or better lighting. I live way up in the mountains, so I get constant shade that moves from all the trees. It's been my biggest challenge. I literally got 8 listings up today and gave up. I'm glad you are feeling better! Thank you for all your tips and tricks!
We leave the overhead light on. We use a Galaxy Note 8 which has a pro camera mode. From there, we’re able to color correct the settings to give us real life coloring. Preset phone camera settings are a struggle!

I have to ask since you are the jeans master. How are you on returns? I have had 7 returns this year (with about 700 items sold) and 6 of the 7 were women's jeans/pants. I offer free returns and all were "didn't fit my body right" or "didn't like how they looked on me" sorts of reasons. I went ahead and removed all my women's pants/jeans I was selling for less than $25. I am just curious what your return rate is. Thanks and great videos

Hi Carrie! Do you keep track of each of your items on an inventory spreadsheet? Or is this un-necessary? I'm on the verge of quitting doing this and am wanting to get a consensus of opinions on the matter. I currently log each receipt and corresponding item in a spreadsheet, but I'm beginning to think its just a big waste of time.
oh damn you guys pay 48% in selling costs? i was complaining as mine have crept up from 16 to near 20 now with 7% promoted
It just depends on the day. If I take a lot of lowball offers, the selling cost percentage is higher because most of the sales for the day is shipping prices. Our average promotion is also around 6-7%.
It said the had 48% selling costs because at that point they had 13 sales that day, but they bought shipping labels for 20 sales from the previous day, so eBay took the price of the 20 labels away from the 13 sales, which made their selling costs disproportionally high.
@@carrieathome it's just interesting to see what other sellers are paying. i'm not even in this market, i sell electronics with a typical sale price of $400 and shipping is about $35 after cost of box and materials. even still i remember the days before promoted where it was like 14%

@@KyleEvans09 Yeah it was taking forever to get bins out and after 1.5 hours it was still half empty. I found some tory burch sandals, mario kart wii, wii super sluggers, and a decent amount of other $30+ shoes.

If I remember correctly, that day we bought 20 packages worth of shipping labels. It happens when there’s a bigger sales day first and then a smaller sales day to follow. But it evens out in the end.
