I misspoke about the Poshmark seller! They do $200k A MONTH! I misheard and thought it was $200k a year. So that’s absolutely awesome 👏 but my comment still stands about ebay being a larger platform with enough buyers on it to keep me satisfied 😊
Because of you and your husband, I've narrowed my clothing niche to mainly jeans! My sales have more than doubled and I am enjoying my sourcing so much more. Thanks guys!
Your content is amazing ! One thing you don’t harp on but I love about the business is that you are literally saving clothes from landfills and re circulating it into the marketplace while generating revenue. Plus it seems fun 🤩
Very smart to keep your main income store under wraps...family first/Income first. You are having success, and are selling, and sharing that with others who need the info. If someone thinks they can't trust you, then they can move to another seller who is sharing their store name, and the rest of us will stick around cause we actually don't care to know those details. Anyway...thanks to you both for all you do for the community! Happy New Year! :)
I know Chris and Tech preach not to xlist, but xlisting 50 items 20 min a day made me an extra 45k profit this year, 70% of my sales are on ebay. Essential to struggling or beginning resellers imo.
Thank you Carrie for opening up this channel and share your story! It’s so inspiring! Can you tell me what you do, if you want to take a few days off, for example going on holiday. Do you put your shop on vacation mode?
I am taking the Rip it up and Start again approach so focusing on just listing right now and only sourcing when I've completed that. I feel disciplined enough right now to keep momentum Very intrigued to see what I can do with one full year when I actually fully commit myself and force myself to keep going
This is my first year selling started in April and I sold 442 items on eBay and 104 on Poshmark. I stopped cross-listing after I sold four items on both platforms in the same day but I did not remove them from eBay as I sold them on Posh over night and shipped them before I went to work. I forgot to delist on eBay as I was rushing to get to work. I lost my top seller status since I had to cancel the eBay orders! My average sale price on eBay is $33.72 and on Posh $16.62 so I am fine not cross-listing for the extra time it takes and the money I was paying to the software program to crosslist.
Okay, I'm just curious why no one is talking about the little ghost that walks behind you at the 2:02 mark in the video! It comes out of nowhere Walks Behind you between you and the bin next to you. Anyhow, came across your account a few weeks ago and have loved watching your progress! I'm definitely looking forward to Growing based on some of your strategies. Happy New Year everybody!
Another banger video! You handle the "how much do you make'' question a lot classier than I would. Just because you make that doesn't mean that I or anyone else will. Or we might make more. Some people just do not have any decorum. About a year ago, I was in a Walmart doing a 90% run, and found a half dozen pairs of fuzzy lined slippers, the ones that said, "baby bear'' or something of that nature on them in toddler sizes. About 3 or 4 different sizes, and I know a few single mothers that I gave them to. I was getting them for less than a dollar a pair, so I got all of them. As I was using a self checkout, some nosy old fart waked up to me and said, "I'm curious to know. Do you have that many kids?" After collecting myself, I simply and firmly said to him, "It's really none of your business whether or not I do." As you and I have mentioned before, there are differing variables between each and every buyer. Another thing is what is available in one region may or may not be available in another. You have bins stores there. I don't. I have to hit one of the thrift stores on 50 cent day, and another that sells most clothing for 25 cents each any day they are open.
Thank you for the reasonable answers. I understand and respect that you need to keep a level of privacy even with being on TH-cam. It’s hard for some people to understand that. I can also relate to the data driven part of it because I’m the same way being in tech as my main career. 😂
Happy New Year Carrie! Heres to an even more successful 2025 for everyone 🎉 I think it's funny how people have to brag about finding your store. People are so weird. 😂 Looks like we might get some gross weather this weekend. Stay safe! ❤
Thank you for your video information. Yes, we are trying to sell all our items, as we have a mixture of all types of stuff. We will then just focus on one or two niche items to become more well versed on Brands. Congratulations on $260K in a year; that's impressive. Did you manage to get an IRA or Roth after leaving your W2 jobs? Happy New Year to everyone.
18:36 Another reason why you don't want to share your eBay store name (at lease I won't do that) is if you running ads and you pay-per-view! Emagine what you will pay after you share your store name and bystanders like me (who are not particularly interested in buying jeans) visit your store and leave it without buying anything.... 🙂
Sorry if you’ve answered this in a previous video but what kind of computer do you use to list your items? I’m looking to buy a new computer and was just curious what kind you guys use
Started watching your channel fairly recently and it has quickly become one of my favorites. I’m interested in joining your group. I am retired from my career job and have a small store that I crosslist to 4 platforms. Usually have a little over 200 items. Do you think the group would be appropriate for me? I’d like to increase my sales and have a more structured work schedule. Do you cap the number of people in your group? Thanks for sharing all your knowledge in a down to earth relatable way!
What I am trying to work out is you have a well branded eBay store, that has a very good turnover but you don't link it in your TH-cam channel… Am I missing something?
This is the first video of hers that I've watched, but I found that interesting as well. It took a whole two minutes to find the storefront, though, so the attempt at anonymity isn't working. I found it in a previous video - the first and only one I clicked.
Happy New Year! Love your videos. You guys really rock. No way would I release the name of my jeans store, if I were u. Thats your family income and its smaty to protect it. Its very kind that u share your shirts store.
Happy New Year... been following for a few months and congratulations on your new family member. One question... when you started your shirt store you had $50. and then increased your buying... Did you start with a basic no pay store or start with 4.99 .... I just have just the 250 basic no pay...did the 4.99 a month for awhile this year but didn't see a difference.. I don't list everyday because of the small area in our house. I do sell on 2 other platforms... You have a great business plan, much success in the New Year.🤗
I don’t have interest in the cash back card hack but I hear some people enjoy it! I’d rather just not have to think about it ever and keep my mind at ease.
I agree with you about store name. I don’t share mine on social media, even though I have a large following on Instagram and TH-cam. I’m curious to see how much organic reach I can generate on my own.
Do you have any videos about being a reseller on the business side? Like taxes, LLC, sales tax, expenses etc? I’ve been getting mixed feedback about the business side of stuff!
I have a few questions. Do you guys run as an llc or sole proprietor? Also, in regards to banking, do you have a business bank separate from personal? And for inventory and sourcing, do you use credit cards? Great videos, by the way!
We’re sole proprietor and plan on staying that way for as long as possible. 100% get a separate bank account for business revenue/expenses with a debit card tied to it for business purchases only. That’ll save you so much headache keeping the money separated. It doesn’t need to be a business checking account. Just a free personal account that you treat like a business account. I personally don’t like credit cards. I think it’s too much risk for little gains. Peace of mind is worth way more to me. Thank you for the questions!
Curious on your shipping. Do you do full LxWxH with your poly bags? I've heard from other U-Tubers you only need the height dimension BEFORE you enclose your item. Making it 1 inch.
I have it preloaded as a 9x6x3 and at 2 pounds because 99% of our items fit within those measurements. If it’s less than a pound or bigger in dimensions then I’ll adjust manually at time of label purchasing.
Promoted at 5% and increased to 8%. I do get more sales. If item gets return. Does ebay just keep the promoted fee from the sale or does it get refunded back to us?
It is no one business to know your store name if you decide not to share. You sharing your knowledge how to sell on TH-cam is far more valuable than knowing your store name. Only shady people would want to know your storename. This is speaking from a 7 figure seller on eBay. I too do not share my store name on OG. I just share knowledge and teach people how to fish.
Yep I mean if you do a quick search and your item comes up as 1st then promoting even more isn't going to move your listing higher. Only difference paying them 10% over 3%
OMG, I can't believe you wash the clothes. I owned 3 consignment shops and we never (accept on rare occasions) washed an item. I mean if it is visibly dirty maybe, but can you not just put a generic note in with the item that recommends the item be washed after purchase?
You don’t have to share your store name at all. I think you mentioned your jean store name a while back and i have been following you since then. I only do jeans and i do check your store out monthly to see if you have some brands I’m looking into. I don’t copy what you do bc I’ve learned that you and i can have the exact same things and mine wont sell yours will fly out of your store same day and vice versa. It’s weird how that happens. But i do go into your store to try to see what you’re thinking is. I’m older than you and i learning so much from you thank you
It is so crazy that washing clothes is even a question. I have seen so many posts on Facebook about that same question.. WASH YOUR CLothes unless there is tag on
I think people have a hard time wanting to wash their own laundry so adding more probably drains them. But! They are getting paid to wash their inventory if you think of it that way lol
I’m a reseller and I don’t wash mine. The places I source from ALWAYS wash before selling. So much so I can smell them really well because they use a different detergent than I do.
@@carrieathome Maybe so, But I feel like it shouldn’t even be a question- thrift stores have a “smell” and its not pleasant. But yes thats one way to look at it. You’re getting paid.
That's not true people should wash them when received. Do you know how many times I was yelled at for washing them and how allergic they were to laundry detergent. It's a lose lose . Spot clean only!
Good call on not sharing the jean store name. It's your livelihood and a lot at stake so the few sales you may make from your YT audience isn't worth the risk of putting it out there for the weirdos to troll, scam, and review bomb.
Is it that the higher percentage you promote the higher your listing appears in searches? I promote all items at 3% just to promote but not too high. I have some old listings I want to get rid of, would moving it to 5/8% help?
The top promoters get the “sponsored” spots up in the first row on the first page. But the rate amount isn’t the only factor on who gets those places. Item relevancy and listing quality also factor into it. Your promoted listing also gets pushed in “more items like this” and other various advertisement spots. I would say a markdown sale would be a better way to push older items vs a higher promoted rate.
I found that keeping all my previous listings as is and promote the new listings at the new rate has been a smooth transition. If you lump it all at once, I can see that being a hard hit.
Also if anyone wants random pay transparency for a new reseller, I just started 3 months ago and I’ve grossed $2k but I’m actually in debt to myself about $650 still (shipping/packing/storage materials and inventory building!)
I don’t watch much TH-cam but I feel like I catch a little bit of everyone when I do :) I like watching Caleb Sells and Big Yumbo pickups! They get some heat 🔥
I dont understand why you wouldnt cross list if its free to cross list? The only thing i can see being a problem is the inventory syncing up. I sell resell hats and sell from my shopify store, from there I go to Etsy/Ebay. Etsy I have over 250+ sales in like 5 months. IDK seems weird to not cross-list. You mention that you want to focus on one platform? Why? How complicated can it be? If your items are descriptive, no issues from customers, then why not cross-list? Yes maybe your items are not special but you'd be amazed what sells. We know each platform has a unique set of customers... Not hating just really questioning that decision making. Part me of gets the idea of not wanting to deal with the customers on another platform, yet I do it and its really not an issue.
You have to keep in mind if you sell on other platforms you lose some of the boost to eBay that you get when you sell say Silver jeans, your silver jeans get a boost and many items may just sell on eBay anyways maybe a few days later for less fees. I do think crosslisting is worth though, but need correct software and not to mind the huge hassel it does create. I do think getting a 2% cashback card (if credit allows it) is pretty crucial because its one and done, attach credit card to paypal, link paypal when buying ebay labels, never worry about it again and collect in my case about $50 per month in cashback on labels and another $50 in cashback when buying inventory.
How many hours does your husband source per day/week? I feel like technsports is a tad bit full of himself and also just not altogether honest. I do watch some of his videos though. I mean he says he’s retired and is obviously not retired. I feel like anyone who fudges the truth a little will also do it a lot. Just an observation. Isn’t it fun to have random conversations with total internet strangers? Anyways I like your videos and the way you guys run your eBay stores. I sell men’s jeans also and have learned a lot from your videos.
It averages out to Kyle sourcing 5+/- hours a day Monday through Friday and occasionally on the weekends while we’re out and about just because he likes popping into a thrift store that may be on our route. There are some weeks where he has to grind a bit more because sourcing can be dry sometimes but it averages out with the weeks where sourcing is super lucrative. Tech is on another level when it comes to the hustle and is super skilled in making lucrative money. He’s on the straight and narrow. So retirement for him looks way different to an average person and that doesn’t mean he’s fibbing about his retirement. I did his solo routine for one day that he did for years and can tell that what he’s doing now is waaaay more chill and easy mode for him. He earned it! Also, to clarify, he said he was retiring from his ebay store but he has other businesses still.
@ 5 hrs a day isn’t bad. I do not like our goodwill bins though. I think it’s 2.49/lbs and the competition there is actually kinda scary aggressive lol. I just hit the thrift stores and pay 6.99 max for jeans/pants. I respect your take on tech and also admire the hustle….ill just leave it at that with him. I would love to go full time eBay but we like to take trips and go out of town a lot. Do you guys have a plan for that or just go on vacation mode and not worry about it?
Someone just reached out to me to let me know I misheard! It’s $200k/month for the Poshmark seller which is killer. But it still stands that ebay does more than Poshmark when it comes to sales/buyers.
Has your TH-cam channel improved your eBay work ethic because you share your sales performance your audience? What has changed (for better or worse) because you have a channel?
It hasn’t changed anything about our work ethic. With all our businesses we strive for doing the best we can and improving where we can. We have great respect and pride in our jobs by default. I can say that the channel motivated me to pick back up on the shirt store series after morning sickness went away. Learning a new niche was something I was losing interest in at the time because I was in survival mode but because so many people showed interest in the shirt store series, it helped motivate me to get back to it.
Hi Carrie just came across your video today. My older and kids and their teens are looking to buy good jeans at a lesser price than the retail store. By chance, can I get your ebay store name so they can brouse and see what they could find? Thank you for any help in finding them some jeans.
I misspoke about the Poshmark seller! They do $200k A MONTH! I misheard and thought it was $200k a year. So that’s absolutely awesome 👏 but my comment still stands about ebay being a larger platform with enough buyers on it to keep me satisfied 😊

That’s great to hear you’re back to enjoying sourcing! Happy New Year!
I do not promote for the first 30 days then will go back and bulk edit my items after 30 day to add promoted listings. Seems to work well!
That’s a good strategy!
I do the same. Definitely happy when things sell no promotion.
Thanks for sharing that information! I’m new on eBay and that seems reasonable 👍
Your content is amazing ! One thing you don’t harp on but I love about the business is that you are literally saving clothes from landfills and re circulating it into the marketplace while generating revenue. Plus it seems fun 🤩

I feel disciplined enough right now to keep momentum
Very intrigued to see what I can do with one full year when I actually fully commit myself and force myself to keep going
Dawn, Peroxide, and Baking Soda do great for me. I need them buy some just to use for reselling so they are all together and easier/quicker to use.
Thank you so much Carrie for your content. You’ve inspired me for my own posh journey this 2025.
Would you please do a video on your photo set up? I am especially interested in how to make an angled, non-slipping photo table like yours.
Sharing the store can also lead to people clicking on all of your stuff and not buying anything, which is really bad in eBay's eyes.
True that! Also, the cat face in your photo is fantastic lol
@@carrieathome tyvm lol
Thats right
Question; What size are the boxes you use and where do you get them? Thanks
@@aprilzehms6056 what boxes ? The comment was in reguards to problems with sharing the store.

I think people have a hard time wanting to wash their own laundry so adding more probably drains them. But! They are getting paid to wash their inventory if you think of it that way lol
I disagree. If you purchase clothes new or used I recommend YOU wash them before you don them upon your unwashed carcass.
How expensive is your coaching??
$20/month!
I am a member of Carrie’s coaching group and want you to know that you get WAY more value than the $20 you pay!

Where are the boxes from in the background?
From Uline!
@ Thank you! Can you only do a mark down sale with a store? I don’t have an actual store. I have 300 listings currently though
@ I do lower prices on older items but I’m not sure how to have them “marked down” as a sale
@@brroookkeee Yes you need a store, I'm at 241 Listings - no store yet either.
@@raia9 Thank you!
I stopped all promotions. eBay gets enough money when I sell
It’s true! I’m excited for my downward journey with promoted 😄
@@carrieathome hey, if it works for you then fine
@@carrieathome we have tried creeping down from 10% several and our sales just tank. And we are big sellers (menswear).
I found that keeping all my previous listings as is and promote the new listings at the new rate has been a smooth transition. If you lump it all at once, I can see that being a hard hit.
25 per shirt. Is that total profit or net before item cost?
Net would be after item cost. Gross would be before item cost. The shirt store is $25 profit net.
Tide rescue spray always cleans stains
I do like it but it’s quite expensive when we apply it to as many jeans as we have, it adds up 🥲
3% promoted listings work fine for me.
Nice! I’m working my way down to that lol
Do you have a brands video for jeans or can you make one since you don’t share your store (which is completely YOUR prerogative)
I'll share brands now and then!
God’s Blessing to All. Thanks for the Top 5, but now I am left to wonder what the Number 6 question was… LOL.
Cackling at the people in your comments saying they found your store. They have way too much time on their hands. Touch some grass, people!
Also if anyone wants random pay transparency for a new reseller, I just started 3 months ago and I’ve grossed $2k but I’m actually in debt to myself about $650 still (shipping/packing/storage materials and inventory building!)
lol it’s so silly 🤣
Do you only sell clothes
What is some of the reseller youtubers that you watch and enjoy?
I don’t watch much TH-cam but I feel like I catch a little bit of everyone when I do :) I like watching Caleb Sells and Big Yumbo pickups! They get some heat 🔥
When I buy clothes off eBay I promise I’m cleaning them babies first off
Totally agree with that move 👍
We wash all clothes we purchase even the personal garments, sheets, towels, etc.
It's not complicated, I just have no interest in it.
Hi! I’m a big fan of your movies and music! You are such a hard-worker. Never knew celebrities also resell on eBay! 👏🏻
Lol now I'm interested in who you think I am 😂

Put it on 2xs faster & its good fast info!...she has small children ,so talks like she talking to young children.
Could you be a 6 figure reseller NOT selling fashion items (clothing)
Totally! Lots of success can be found in other niches. Clothing is common because America is stuffed full of it lol
Boo I wanted to know what the stores actually made.
I found your store 😁 where is the 200k in sales on poshmark coming from? I dont think thats accurate.
Someone just reached out to me to let me know I misheard! It’s $200k/month for the Poshmark seller which is killer. But it still stands that ebay does more than Poshmark when it comes to sales/buyers.
❤❤❤❤
Has your TH-cam channel improved your eBay work ethic because you share your sales performance your audience?
What has changed (for better or worse) because you have a channel?
It hasn’t changed anything about our work ethic. With all our businesses we strive for doing the best we can and improving where we can. We have great respect and pride in our jobs by default.
I can say that the channel motivated me to pick back up on the shirt store series after morning sickness went away. Learning a new niche was something I was losing interest in at the time because I was in survival mode but because so many people showed interest in the shirt store series, it helped motivate me to get back to it.
Can't believe you ignored your kitty's meows at @3:34 and @3:40 :(

Hi Carrie just came across your video today. My older and kids and their teens are looking to buy good jeans at a lesser price than the retail store. By chance, can I get your ebay store name so they can brouse and see what they could find? Thank you for any help in finding them some jeans.
I would shop from
Your jean store if I knew the name.
I know your primary store name and I thought that it was a public info. But anyway. Nice video.
Yea it's easy to find! I just don't link it or share it :)
its not difficult to find your ebay store lol. i found it no problem. you can definitely delete this comment if you want lol.
lol I know it’s not hard to find. I just don’t have a big open door to it by linking to it or sharing the name when asked :)
