I have a '21 E53 sedan, and on US roads you rarely need more. ISG gives nice boost on takeoff. You never feel underpowered until you get to above 80mph, thats highway speed. And there you want to cruise in comfort anyway.
I agree. The improvements are good... But probably the GLE Coupé will require a couple of restylings until new items get completely fitted in it. Price differential should be payed for a better S+ Mode without losing comfort when carrying family, not making a Dakar beast even in ECO. Can´t forget we still talking about an SUV (Which suppsedly was made for a comfy daily routine at base)
My mercedes gle 350de used limit the torque when i pass 120km/h but i tuned the engine to provide the rated power and it is much faster now i was able to achieve 279km/h whereas i struggled to get above 230km/h before the tune😊
Thats strange because your top speed has nothing to do with your tuning but with your final drive on your transmission ... Would barely make a few kmph difference . Unless there was a limiter
@@daffiecars there was a 230km/h speed limiter which was removed after the tune but iam talking about the acceleration before it felt really slow to get up to speed and i checked the onboard torque and hp screen and it was show about 210 hp and 430nm of torque when i was on full throttle but after the engine unlock it achieved 440hp and 720nm of torque in full throttle
@@sonisula33 once the electricity runs out , the car does manage to do 0-100 in 6.3 seconds but with the battery charged i achived 5.1 seconds 0-100mph which was better than the manufacturer’s claimed 0-100😊
The AMG on the 53, 35, 43 are like Audi S and bmw M lite. Other car manufacturers have 2 badges where as with Merc it's just AMG but then again the only proper real AMG's are the handcrafted ones so the 45s,63s,65s etc.. but I do agree u getting 450 ish horses in this big GLE truck weight is nothing when a lightweight a45s produces same amounts.

Only thing going for it is the interior is slightly better than BMWs.
I live in the U.S. where the highest legal speed limit in my state is 70. I use it as a daily driver and love it. I thought about the X6, but after spending more time at the BMW dealership with the previous 3 models, I decided to give Mercedes a try.
I think the thing I feel it lacks the most is the mid range, so once you're on autobahn it feels bit too slow. For the city driving imo its fairly okay. I'm wondering if the brabus power kit (500) would do the justice to this car.
I love the thinner steering wheel compared to BMW's ever-expanding Mr Blobby efforts. Much nicer to look at and to use. And the interior also seems a bit calmer overall than Merc's most recent efforts which is all to the good.

I do not say that is not a good car, but is ugly and the design lines are so unbalanced. At the interior You get 4 air grills of the same type and the left and right air gril different. The external mirrors looks cheap. A lot of wind noise after 200kph.
GLE none coupe version is the best cruiser you can have. The suspension just needs to be stiffer but if you like a whippy boat feeling then its ok
