If you are looking for health care options in Hua Hin, Bangkok Hospital is a solid choice, as is San Paolo Hospital. I've had good experiences with both, including direct billing of my insurance. But you may also want to consider the Be Well Clinic. They are on Phetkasem Road a few kms south of town, next to the Belvida Estates (formerly Banyan Residences). Be Well is a small, international quality clinic with first rate doctors and staff, where I have received excellent quality healthcare.

We love Hua Hin for one-night or weekend escapes. There's lots of good hotels for 1,200-1,500 Baht if a person doesn't want to drop a lot of cash for a hotel. There's the 2 large malls, plenty of street shopping and restaurant choices galore. Mica reminds me of a friend I have back in the USA. Fingers crossed for Gift's visa.

Great subscriber! That hotel/resort was nice. Makes sense that you don’t have to be real close to malls/hospital if you do not go every day. Close enough to go when you want/need but not close enough to cause traffic every day.
Suite looked awesome, I am highly jealous of that steak!

He's a pleasant guy. Looks like you guys had a great time. Hua Hin is on a short list of places to live, but I have to check it out before I ever decide where we're going to hang our hat. Looks to have everything a farang would want, and American food is a big one!

Completely agree about your tip on medicines. I have been going to Bangkok Hospital in Hua Hin for the past month. It is always cheaper to get your medicine outside the hospital.

Johnny there is something published a video some days ago about a rental place in Hua Hin, not expensive (my POV) but two or three kilometers away from Hua Hin downtown.
Micah seems like a very cool guy!! Nothing better than good friends.🥂 Hua Hin is definitely on our short list of retirement spots. We are planning a split retirement between the US / Thailand with the possibility of staying in Thailand full time at some point. (waiting to see the consequences of the recent amendment of section 41 of the Thai tax law on foreign money).
Micah is a great guy indeed. I believe many people are waiting to see how the new Thai tax law might affect them.

I'm happy to see you two are healthy and happy. In regard to hospitals, my personal experience is with Bangkok Hospital. I must say that the two times that I used them, the experience was exceptional. Yes, medications can be more expensive. My girl Su uses Hua Hin hospital. Although the facilities are a bit dated, the care was good. It can take a bit of waiting to see the doctor, but it is cheaper.

Great room! I’m still torn between Hua Hin and PKK. I kind of need both as a single bloke looking to retire. Like a bit of night life if I need it but also the quiet

Speaking of Dunkin’ Donuts Joe, have you ever seen one in Thailand that sells “ hot” coffee?…. I’ve been to Thailand several times and have yet been able to find Dunkin’ Donuts hot coffee,…. Iced coffee only ,…. If you’ve seen one please let me know ???
Good question! Honestly, we really don’t know, because we never go to Dunkin’ Donuts. I’m thinking 🤔 they probably don’t serve coffee, but I’m not certain.
Your making a good move away from Bumrungrad. I do use it from time to time for a medical certificate only available there for work. Their prices are highly inflated even compared to Bangkok Hospital. I have had nothing but great service in Bumrungrad but there are many great private hospitals in Thailand. I would also not use Bangkok Hospital if possible as I have had great service at some of the lesser known hospitals.

Can’t lie. I was stickered shock at 433.00 USD a night.
The most expensive hotel we stayed in. I can honestly say, we were a bit surprised of the prices ourselves.
