We love everything about this video! Makes us want to be with you every step of the way…except we are in Bora Bora and it’s outstanding! Not as outstanding as being on The Hillbilly but one can hope 😅❤❤❤
Fantastic that everything is running as it should! So curious about how much more stability a cat inflatable has over the conventional vee. Another great video, enjoy!
Your gratefulness makes watching these videos even more enjoyable. I'd love to see a video on how you choose your music on Epidemic Sound, what search terms you use, etc. Your input from a lifetime of experience would be very beneficial. -Tom
Great question. I’ve developed a combo of folk-country-rock and pop by using my past history of selecting. It generates a “playlist” if you will and it’s pretty darn accurate for me. The real secret is HOW you use it. That gets lost on many editors. Thanks for watching
Your videos are really great! I was wondering how you handle your electricity needs on your over nights. Do you run your generator or use inverter system?
G’day Kevin - we also have an Aquila 54 and at night we turn the generator off so the fridges, anchor light, courtesy lights and water pumps from night usage of the toilet run off the house batteries. We find that we use around 18% even with boiling the kettle for the morning cuppa. If staying at anchor we then start the generator and after a couple of hours the batteries are at 100%. Alternatively if we are heading off on a cruise the engines soon have the batteries recharged - just takes a bit longer. Will be interested in Alan’s response.
That depends. If the majority of the guests aboard want/need the air conditioning, we keep it on all night…which is usually the case. On more mild evenings, we do the same. Shut it down and recharge in the morning. It’s very nice to be on the hook without the Jenny running all night.
The Amazon link does not appear to be working says "sorry we couldn't find that page". Also do you sell your shirts/hats merch? I'd love to buy and support! BTW love your adventure videos!
Im new to your channel! best videos most informative! Very well done!! I live in Dallas and ordering a new 55ft Sunseeker next year. what is your fuel consumption from Miami to Bimi? I understand you cruise at 15MPH. Bimi will be our first trip! Thank you!
@@thewanderinghillbilly G’day Alan - are you sure on those fuel consumption figures? At 2100 I’m doing 9.3 knots burning 57 litres - your 60 US Gallons would be 227 litres…….maybe my maths is wrong……
Aquila 14 foot cat with 40 HP Mercury outboard - we have the same on our Aquila 54 and it is an awesome tender. Thought I’d save you some time and answer the question for you Alan!
I wanna start by telling you how happy I am to see you enjoying your boat, it's about time. I am living vicariously through you. I do have one question and pardon my ignorance if it is spelled CAY why is it pronounced key, just curious

Let me know when u go!!! Thanks fellow Texan!
looks like such a fab time! what would be it cost (est) to charter a boat like that for a week?
Probably around 30k. But split that with 4 couples! It’s a once in a lifetime journey!!! Thanks for watching
any videos on editing the videos? a "how to" would be nice. i like the way your videos come out.
Well a “how to” would take a while. Won my first Emmy editing back in ‘94. Been doing it awhile. Thanks for watching
We followed your advice on our trip through the BVI’s! Looking to do this trip as well thanks!
Tha k you!

@@thewanderinghillbilly Thank you for the knowledge share!
What kind of drone are you flying in the video? It takes great shots!
DJI Mavic Pro 2 with a Hassleblad camera. Also has a LOT to do with color grading during editing. Thanks for the compliment!
@@thewanderinghillbilly a master at his craft!
Wonderful Alan, when are you getting the seabob or another underwater device?
Actually I’ve been eyeing that damn thing. Maybe soon!!!
