On a charter about 8 years ago, our friend drank too much Fireball at Foxy's and spent the day feeding the fish on Sandy Cay. One of those friends memories that will last forever.
Alan, what I love about your channel is that everything you do is as a result of years of hard work and sacrifice. You didn't win, nor inherit, nor did you steal your lifestyle. It's all down to your dedication to your work and industry. The fact that you are able to share your success with family and friends is a bonus, not just for yourself and them but for us, your subscribers, too. I admire you Sir.
Thank you soooo much!
I know why you have haters. Pure jealousy!!! Boat, water, sun, drinks, food, fun. What's missing-scenery! You have two great ones!!
Thanks so much!
I was just going to say the same thing, but you said it perfectly I enjoy I enjoy watching your Ventures thank you for sharing
Another good one! I like the fact that you enjoy sharing it with others. I wish your wife could join you more often. You two are authentic.
Me tooooo! Lol. Thanks for watching
I have to agree.....that does not suck ‼️🎉 See you next time.✨ 🌊 💨 🛥️🏝️👙👙🌞✨
You're hitting all my spots but you sailed right on past Diamond Cay at Jost van Dyke. Foxy's Taboo and the Bubbly Pool? What's not to love? Maybe even B-Line and check the box on a true BVI beachside Dive Bar. Enjoying your channel. Your BVI content is really good stuff. Looking forward to lots more.
I’ll check those out next time! Thanks for watching
thanks, Alen, for taking use with you and showing us it all sir. Enjoy.
My pleasure!!
Alan, to me- this is your best video. My take is that it’s not about the boat so much, but where the boat gives you (and us TYVM) access to. Bitter End and ONB are both spectacular, and your documenting them only makes my desire to see them first hand, more than ever. Thanks again……
Love Sweet Ice Willie!! What a riot - next time get him on some video!
I will!
I loved this video. I feel like you have finally gotten all of the issues worked out on your beautiful yacht. You are very relaxed and happy. It comes across how content you are. Wasn’t easy getting here, but you did it. A shout out to Belinda Carter who understands how important this has been to you. Godspeed Alan Carter. ❤
Thank you so much! Love you guys!
Loved Oil Nut Bay. We spent two days there with day passes and it was well worth it. Can’t wit to go back. Great seeing it through your excellent videos. Keep ‘‘em coming please!
Sounds great!
DAMN ! your video-production rocks ❗ 💪 Ain't no "choppin" there 😊 Mesmerizing creative skills Sir ! 🙏
Thank you friend.
Hi there! I just wanted to drop you a quick message to let you know how much I absolutely love watching your videos. They are incredibly entertaining, and I find myself eagerly waiting for each new upload. Your content always brings a smile to my face and brightens my day. Keep up the fantastic work, and know that your efforts are truly appreciated! Thank you for sharing such wonderful and enjoyable content with us.
Exactly my sentiments 😂😊
Thank you so much!!
"A" the feeling must be wonderful having your own boat, working out on it in the BVI's! So cool! Every time I step on my boat that I have had for 17 years I feel at home and happy, I still feel so lucky. I came from nothing and worked very hard to buy my dream. I have been to the BVI's 5 times and love it every time like it was the first! I always try to bring someone new to expenses it for the first time a long with pass friends. We are going back June 22 2024 for my 63rd birthday. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep sending the great videos. Fair winds and following seas from Dallas, Texas.
Thank you!!!
keep living that good life, Alan! and, as always, thanks for taking us along for the adventures!!🤘🏼🏝☀
Thank you!!
What a beautiful scenery, I’m new to your channel I’ve been watching for about six months now. It looks like you worked hard and it’s all paid off. By the way we gave you father of the year also.
Thanks and welcome
I have tremendously enjoyed Wandering H-Billy's videos. I spent Summer 2017 on west end of Tortola, near Soper's Hole, house/dogsitting. I left right before terrible storm, Hurricane Irma, passed over the BVI. To see those beautiful catamarans flipped and tattered to shreds, the houses reduced to kindling wood and all the beautiful green vegetation stripped from the land was soul-wrenching. On the one hand, I was grateful to, by luck, be back home in Houston, but wished I could be there to help out the suffering "Belongers" ! Seeing Alan and his crew enjoying the islands is reassuring to me that "all things pass" and it looks like things are back to normal again in one of the most beautiful places on Planet Earth!
Thanks for watching!
Love the videos Alan, thank you so much for sharing your journey. As a beach guy one tip for hot sand is to shuffle your feet just under the surface and you save burning your soles. Keep up the great work and I always look forward to your videos. Cheers, Cy
Thanks for the info! I need it!
Great video as always! We actually saw you guys at Saba Rock and introduced ourselves. We are actually in the background on this video which was fun to see. You really do an amazing job capturing these trips. I can’t wait to go back and Oil Nut will certainly be on the to do list! Great meeting you and your crew!
great to meet you and thanks for watching!
As always your videos take me to a happy and relaxed place! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I'm so glad!
As a boat owner of my new2me Dreamboat I can feel your inner joy for sure LOL and pride of ownership and the gratitude that comes with it in those silent moments as you Ponder and watch your people enjoying themselves on the water... good on you. But my one grievance as a food and wine guy... Individually wrapped processed cheese slices??! You're better than that man! LOL😅❤
Hah. You’re right. I must do better! Thanks for watching
Thank you for of your videos. I enjoy everyone. Work hard and enjoy life when you can.
Thank you, I will
Love your channel and hopefully we will see you out and about in Omaha!
we LOVE IT HERE!!!!
I hope you hit Hog Heaven! Great videos always a pleasure to watch.
I hope to soon. Thanks for watching
Been there loved it.
Living the life, no better words. Congrats brother. That's the dream been lived. God bless you and you're family.
Thanks 👍
Love your videos! I live in California. In 2001 we bought a 2855 Bayliner Cierra. We went to the Isthmus at Catalina Island all the time. Love, love boating. Your videos bring back the passion for those days. Unfortunately at 66 years old I’ve had eye surgery that didn’t turn out so well. Vision problems that cannot be corrected, otherwise I would be back on the water because of your videos. Keep the videos coming and thanks for bringing me along. Great quality videos too!!
Thanks so much for watching!
You mentioned the most important part of a trip like this, which is sharing it with the people you love. That's the secret sauce. Love your work.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you once again for sharing!!! Just beautiful ❤️
You are so welcome!
It's a pleasure to watch you guys. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
We nearly died at Bitter End. We were moored at Saba, dinghyed to BEYC for dinner. What we forgot was a navigation light, and as we crossed across the channel a 30' yacht tender took off from bitter end at 20knots straight towards us. They nearly sliced us in half. Learned our lesson.
Yikes! Thanks for watching
Oil Nut Bay is one of the most beautiful places to visit. A must see if you're in the BVI. When we visited and snorkelled there were an abundance of black tip reef sharks in the bay - a little scary. Great video Alan. Keep them coming!
That’s amazing!!
Incredible. Enjoy!!
I like your video quality, the music fits perfect - so great to watch them.
Sometimes to short 😂 I could watch it for hours, especially the beach, snorkeling, the food ( go more often to eat 😂) ….
Thank you very much!
Gotta run your float line stern to stern THROUGH the noodles then you can float, and hold on, AND keep your cigar dry! :)
Good tip! thanks!
You are living my dream. Im saving up. I hope one day. Thanks for sharing. Inspirational! Keep them coming! Would love to run into you one day and say HI over a pain killer.
Would love that!
Fantabulous..good stuff!
Thank you kindly!
Yes, Alan!!😊
Omg!!! Thank you!!💗💗
You da best!
I want to be your friend........
love the show.
Eric
Lol. You are my friend!
Love this video. Been to the BVI's 6 Times and you have showed me places we have never been to. We will be back down in May and will definitely be checking them out! Thanks again for another awesome video!
Thank you!!!
My bad: I thought you said Sydney's "piece of love..." 😂
Hah. thanks for watching.
Love your Chanel. Wished you posted more.
Working on it!
Out there celebrating on my birthday (June 18) without me, rude! lol...
Keep living the dream!!❤
You too! Thanks for watching
Bitter End Yacht club, we play beach volleyball there too.....we played wherever there was a net! Saba Rock, we went there twice in 10 days because of weather. We didn't mind, there's a lot worse places to be right?! Thanks (I'm a father) and Cheers to you! 🍸🍹🥃
And cheers to you!!
Dude I saw when that boat came into that dock
I’m working there
come say hi next time!!!!
Alan, Thanks for all the videos. I've been trying to get the family to agree to chartering one and allowing me to captain it. We've been to the USVI & BVI several times and you've convinced me it's time to visit by bareboat. My wife and I grew up boating on Alabama lakes and rivers and raised our kids on the water as well. Most weekends are spent at our lake house. Now that kids are both finished with college (Auburn University btw - saw a young man in one of your videos wearing an Auburn hat. WDE to him if he's still around!) we are at a point in our lives where we can take a trip like this. But we have one issue. My son-in-law can get motion sickness. He never has problems on the pontoon or ski boat but rides are usually less than 2 hours. He has never been able to ride many amusement park rides and has never been on a cruise. That being said, have any of your guests had motion sickness problems trying to sleep on the boat?
Never an issue sleeping on the boat. All moorings...save for Anegada....are well protected and will offer a very calm evening. Just be cautious about moving from one island to the next. Check the weather and if seas are gonna be higher than 4 feet...don't go! Just stay in the paradise you are already in. You will be fine. and thanks for watching.
Nice,nice,nice
Thanks
Is this an off season there? Not many people at the resorts. Been to BVI once and it's still on my bucket list.
August and September generally shut down. I wouldn’t go then. Season opens in October
Fantastic video as usual. Does your wife ever join you on your adventures?
Stand by….2 videos away….
Love your channel! Beautiful footage and fun friends. Thinking of going to the Virgin Islands. Just wondering if there is anything to do there if you are a non drinker?
hah. I've been many times and not drank very much. It's paradise man...just go and enjoy.
Brilliant video as usual Alan, love the sound tracks you choose. Have fun buddy. What speed do you cruise at and are there lots of refuelling wharves?
I didn't know you were doing charters or did I miss hear?
I had a lobster at Sidney’s, caught by Sidney himself about 15 years ago. I think he passed away a year or two later. We went to Coco Maya last October for the first time. I thought the food was good but my group just absolutely loved the place! It was a just a little too “boujee” for me.😁
It’s a bit “boujee” for me too but my guests love it. Great food. Thanks for watching
Sounds like we had the same Coco Maya experience.😆
Curious if you've thought about getting dockmate or similar so that you can be on the bow when your balls float up....
Hey! I do have Dockmate but it’s a little inconsistent that far away from the bridge…which it shouldn’t be…got someone looking into it
Love it Alan@@thewanderinghillbilly
Need to work on that cleat tie. Check some video's. But, as long as it stays where you put it, it'll work.
That’s funny you said that…I did go back and fix it…just didn’t shoot it. But thanks for keeping me honest!
@thewanderinghillbilly It's the details, and as a detail man in your business you know it. Enjoying your water life from the Montana mountains.
Hey Alan, Im looking at buying an Aquila 54 after a walk through at the Sydney Boat show in Australia. I was very impressed with the vessel. A very serious question, If you had your time again would you still buy your Aquila 54? Is it worth the money? I would appreciate your honest opinion please. Thanks Champion.
On another note I absolutely love your videos and the information you provide in them. Keep up the good work and May you always make it to home to port safely where ever you call hoime.
Cheers.
Sir, Absolutely love the content and look forward to the next episode !! Quick question, is that a Submariner you're wearing ?
Did you happen to be on Cooper Island on May 25th? I was having dinner there and heard someonw that sounded like you. It was a party of 6 and I did not wish to intrude. Curiosity got the better of me so I thought I would ask now.
Was not there. Only in June.
Are you still there because I’m at foxys right now I have always wanted to see you?
Nope. Back in Cali. But wish I was there!
I am going to be to sail in feb , is they any dolphins in bvi
Hello Again.. Question.. We will be in BVI the week of Oct 14th and thinking about a day at Scrub Island and a day at Oil Nut Resort. In your opinion, do we need to reserve a slip ahead of time at each marina or would you take a chance on a ball and dingy over?
I always prefer to take a slip. Your using the mooring balls all week. Take a break and use a slip! Enjoy!!!
@@thewanderinghillbilly Thank you! We made it, so now we can put all your good advise to work..🤙🇨🇱
Went there six weeks ago with 4 Hookers had a Great time 😂😂😂😂😂
Good hookers are hard to find! Lol
Great video Alan! We just got back from an Alaskan cruise and we have some catching up to do! We vlogged the whole trip, check it out if you’re ever bored.
Side Note: We gave your channel a special shoutout during our Atlantis Vlog last month. Hopefully it helped you pick up a few more Subscribers
What is the day fee at oil nut bay?
Question....What money tender is used at BVI at all these restaurants and bars you go to? British? USD? Credit Card only?
USD.
The US dollar is king. They also accept all major credit cards.
Are YOU chartering your boat now or are you a charter through Marine max?
No charters. Just a private yacht. Thanks for watching
What is your cigar of choice?
I love Rocky Patels!!!
How much was the day pass ?
That depends….I didn’t give a number cause it was different within 2 weeks…one week was about 100 bucks each…the second week was 200 bucks each…I don’t think they’ve settled on it yet.
@@thewanderinghillbilly 👍 and 🙏
Not to complain but your videos deserve at least 1440p!😉
Takes up wayyyy tooo much storage. And the quality doesn’t translate to viewers…at least not yet!
It's not "Copy" its "Roger" . Copy means I'll repeat it to another person.
Is that blond woman your girlfriend? Wasn’t sure if I missed something.
Hah…no that’s my niece Whitney. She’s on board a lot. Thanks for watching
I need to make this happen!!! 🪣list!
