I had also suspected amren was the 7th asteri but I’m doubting it now because Bryce seemed to suggest she is the same as whatever Fury is. Also I think the Dusk Court is an island somewhere off the Purinthian that has just gotten lost and it’s where the Crescent City Fae come from. My last random theory is that if Rhysand looks exactly like Ruhn then Bryce looks exactly like Rhy’s dead sister, because he looks super shocked when he sees her and he don’t know anything about his sister other than she was murdered

I actually have a theory that hunt us a thunderbird. We know the asteri got rid of them because they were a threat so that explains why his mother was killed when people were looking for him. Also, thunderbirds are Native American mythology and guess who has Native American features…? Also, since sofi died and her brother doesn’t have powers I feel like the addition of thunderbirds in the mythology was anticlimactic UNLESS that mythology comes into play later.
I’ll bet thunderbirds can take out asteri- that’s why they were taken out

I’m VERY into your Amren theory because she hadn’t heard the language in 15,000 years which matches the timeline of when what’s his face “swallowed” the 7th Asteri.
I think Theia was an important figure perhaps high lady of the dusk court.
I think Fenrys could be the ancestor of the Fendyr bloodline.
Ruhn obviously has some Illyrian in him and I just want Rhys’s sister to somehow come into play here, like maybe she escaped into Midgard. This is my least thought out theory.
Hunt’s lineage is my greatest question of all. He doesn’t smell like other angels. So who is he? Related to Thurr? A thunderbird that could also take out the Asteri? Idk but I’m into it.
I’m also of the opinion that Hunt and Bryce aren’t actually mates and they’re going to end up doing their own things. Something was off between them in HOSAB.
I just have a LOT of thoughts on this and will be rereading everything and existing only in Sarah J Maas’s world until I have answers tbh.
Hunt being related to Thur would make so much sense! I also think the Fendry bloodline is going to be connected to ToG somehow
I can’t help but want Elain with Az and I can’t be told otherwise. I’m prolly gonna have my heart broken, lol. I don’t think Elain will need what Feyre and Nesta does for babies, I hope anyways, lol. If she’s the opposite Nesta, a life giver or something, would be epic.

Here are my main thoughts and theories:
- I love the idea of mates and have always swooned over them in previous SJM books but the way Hunt and Bryce became mates was not it for me. It was literally like a discussion in bed being like “wanna be mates?” “Sure” “ok, cool. Now we’re mates.” It didn’t seem as epic as it normally does in her other books and I’m that because we heard that Ithan had so many feelings for her that maybe we’ll get like a throuple mating bound which I think would be fun to read about
-Tharion will eventually lose his fins and not make it back in time to the water
-I’m extremely annoyed that we didn’t get a world map. Clearly we couldn’t get a universe map due to it spoiling the cross over but really wish there was a world map of Midgard though in another group discussion I had, people think it’s because there could be spoilers which might be the case
-still can’t tell when this lines up with ACOTAR. Because I think we’re getting another CC book before an ACOTAR, I feel like it happens around the same time though idk how that would make sense 🤨
-though I loved all the smut scenes with Bryce and Hunt, the day/night moments were definitely my favorite and I can’t wait to see what Ruhn does. Also definitely curious to see what his connection to Rhys is or whether it just means he’s a lot closer genetically to their ancestors compared to other fae
-Ithan is going to get so much stronger but idk how.
-fury must be some flying flaming bird creature thing like amern was
-the witch from the lake is an Asteri but not the one from CC. I actually think that one is dead though there are still other Asteri out in other worlds.
-excited to see how TOG is connected because I agree that the shifts come from there but didn’t Aelin close the gates?

I think the fourth dread trove is Lunas Horn… so Bryce is a dread trove. So that would require her to work with nesta to get back to Midgard

The sword is the lost sword Gwydion that Rhys Cassian and Az talk about in ACOSF. It belong to the last High King and was lost with the trove. Also they call it that in the last chapter of CC2

I agree with a lot of your comments! One thing you did get wrong (but doesn’t really change your theory too much) is that Eris isn’t the one that nailed the note to Mor and dropped her off. Her family tortured her and nailed the note to her stomach saying she was Eris’s to do whatever he wanted with her, and Eris left her there to die. But it’s eluded to in the books that Eris was aware of Mor’s disinterest in men, and that maybe he made sure she was found. I don’t think anything was confirmed outright but I may be wrong.

I finished HOSAB at 2:30 am on Feb 16 and literally was so filled with theories and "I WAS RIGHT" vibes that I called my sister and woke her up out of bed to scream into the phone at her 😂😂 So I feel alllll of this. I’m late to this party. I only found SJM two months ago I read fantasy and a lot of Sherrilyn (Kenyon) McQueen. I don’t really do first person because I can’t follow without perspective but SJM did it really well. I feel like I need to stop this after every one and give options on each but I’m going to give it a go. First I’m an Aspie or what ever you call us now that the terminology is changing. And I have read all three series so many times that I have notes as well. And I’ve gone through the audio books books at the same time and looked at things so closely I probably should see someone about my SJMVerse OCD. So here goes
Swords. Truth teller is the sister dagger to the star sword and the star sword sounds like Dorian’s sword Damaris which is also a “truth teller”
Hunt I think is either Thurr who had his memory taken or Thurr is his daddy. Remember the statue looks like him. Same powers also.
I wonder if the ACOTAR courts and CC are descendants of TOG in some way. Rhys from Dorian and Manon since he has looks and powers like Dorian and Valg powers could be from Manon. They night court crowns are star crowns like Manon’s Fenrir children of Fenrys? I mean because he didn’t love the Moombeam last name. Mor’s family in the north from Aelin? They use to rule the night court. I wonder if Rhy’s dad was blond as well maybe they are Donnals? Spring Aedon and Lysandra. Tam looks like Aedon and has Lysandra like eyes and powers. Dawn court look like Yrene and do healing. It’s pretty nutty. Doesn’t explain all but it’s pretty interesting.
Az is for Gwyn her name means light to his dark and his shadow’s sing and dance with her and hide around Elain so she’s not for him but if she freaks out his shadows maybe that goes bad theory will work lol

The 8th court is Dusk. The court always in dusk that use to be the night court?? Cass says “it’s the night court” when they get the harp. Maybe when Mor’s family were high lords? And someone in the night court or Dusk lured them in for the asteri/valg into the CC world and they tried to get back when they knew it was a trap and some got suck in the stone when the gate shut.
I think the black stone at the top of Ramiel is a wyrd stone gate. As well as the manacles Hyber and Ianthi used are wyrd stone. They said it was a stone they found digging in their land.
Nesta has iron nails I think.. the gouges on the steps.. and there is a prisoner with iron teeth and nails as well. They know of witches but we don’t see any. I think what she took made her a witch. And black beak maybe?

I don't think Eris and Elain will happen since we already used the beauty and the beast story with Feyre in ACOTAR.
Cupid and Psyche is the original beauty and the beast (I think a lot of fans want it to be Disney fairytales for the Beauty and Beast in ACOTAR and the Little Mermaid in CC, but it could be that Maas is basing these off the older versions of these tales), where Cupid only shows up as a beast form creature to hide his true identity from Psyche. Then to get him back after he leaves cuz she breaks his trust, Cupid's mother, Aphrodite, gives Psyche a series of labors to complete (again, like Feyre UTM). SJM already used Cupid and Psyche.

After reading all the books, I have two theories, but they contradict each other.
Sometimes I think the Asteri are Valg, but sometimes I think Hell is the kingdom of the Valg.
Have you ever thought about this?
Im gonna cry I just finshed AHOSAB and the last chapter was stupid crossover. 😭 i dont much like the idea of a multiverse cause someones gonna die and i love acotar so much and its gonna be all connected.

I literally had no idea what was going on! I thought it was rumors until HoSaB. I broke my husband’s arm as we finished this audiobook, 10 minutes ago. I have needs and these books might have answers.
I’m very late to the Maasiverse but I read all of her books in September and I am obsessed. I could not put them down. I don’t think Amren is Asteri - she says at some point that she was a soldier but I think maybe a soldier for the Asteri/Vlag race
She might be a solider for the asteri because mave said that the valg world is filled with darkness.It’s full of dark creatures and amren is like a shining creature who has wings.
She said that her dad actually might have gifted her this life because she was always curious about it.
Elain is a gardener… also a seer and has part of the cauldron in her as well as given g life she can take it and look around at what is going on in the world, I think she will get this Aidas from hell and entrap the asteri in the prison in pyrithian and rule over the prison lands and nurse them back to life whilst also remaining the one who keeps the asteri trapped…. This will all happen in the book after this one the next ACOTAR book will be about the war to follow once Bryce and Nesta connect the worlds to one another in doing this they will also open up a portal to Aelin and so the three bad assess will unite and realise that they all come from the same lineage

I think that the astitia where the last people to use the harp and all of that evil act trapping not just beasts and creatures but the 8th Cort in the prison
Then next the 7 agree with amrien and that’s how she ended up in the prison and you know how at the end of sky and breath Brice sees the %of the powers and when her % got low enough she was able to take a fae body and just walk out
Okay now this is a big one that I am not sure if will actually happen but think it would be absolutely amazing if it did happen
So when but the prince of the Cassam said if even one of the astarie steps on the field of battle I want to see all 3 armies coming together to fight them I am not saying it would happen but it certainly could be a cool idea
So the TOG army and mains and then actatar army and then the hell army coming together to defeat the astarie
Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but i thought the horn was the fourth dread trove...
My big theory/theories connecting ToG to CC and ACOTAR (that I don't see often talked about) are:
1. The Asteri are Valg princes/s. The Valg took over bodies, feeding off of the humanity and power of those they embodied. I don't know, it just is where my brain immediately went. They are horrific beings capable of inhabiting others bodies, like Rigelus inhabiting the body of a teenage boy.
2. The black stone on the top of Ramiel is the black obsidian stones from ToG, or Wyrdstone. Something to do with portals as it winnows (or teleports) you out of the mountain.
3. The Asteri claim that their brothers and sisters were wiped out in a world and that they want to return to avenge their death. I believe this is different than Prythian fighting against the Asteri. I believe their "brothers and sisters" were wiped out in ToG by Aelin and her crew and that is where we will get the crossover with ToG from.
Overall, I don't think this crossover will disrupt the continuing story line of ACOTAR. But if done well, I don't think it'll be as bad as folks are making it out to be.

I don't think Elain is going to be gay. If she was, she wouldn't have been so set on Grayson and distraught about losing him. I think at this point we would have had more clues regarding her sexuality. Such as what we had with Celestina- when Hunt makes the thought of they didn't even know if she was into men or women.
But I also think Tharion is going to lose his fins. Everyone thinks Gwyn would be a little mermaid retelling but I think it's actually Tharion.

I discovered your video 4 months ago after finishing hosab. In the first seconds I realized I haven’t read throne of glass yet. I‘ve now just finished the Throne of Glass series and with that all of Sarah j Maas‘s books and I’m back again, still hooked and can’t wait to hear your theories ^^

Watched this video right after finishing CC HOSAB and now my mind is on a rollercoaster with no end in sight.
I also have some questions regarding things mentioned in the video. English is not my first language so I might have missed or misunderstood some things from the books, so if someone could clarify it for me I would really appreciate it.
-CC question regarding meeting the ruler of the bone quarters...isn't that the underking? Or is there someone else?
-acotar question regarding the bone carver...didn't he and the weaver die in the war against Hybern?
Alright now theory time:
- the ancient fae language hasn't been spoken in a long time in both Midgard and Prythian, the fae also didn't Originate from these worlds. My guess is that it is or was the language of the people in that OG fae world but after migrating through the portals the language evolved differently as there were different influences. But both having the same origin.
-as for hunts dad I am guessing he is dead or not in Midgard anymore as Aidas and Jesiba talk about him in past tense in the epilogue of HOEAB. As for the identity, there was this guy called Thur that was mentioned a couple of times. His name beeing very similar to Thyr/Thor the Norse Thundergod. And the world is called Midgard a term from Norse mythology. So he could also just be back in Asgard.
- The viperqueen is supposedly this giant snake shifter and no-one wants to mess with her. There is also a Norse myth about the Midgard snake.
As far as I remember the Bone Carver and the Weaver did die in the war in ACOWAR. And I think the Under King is the ruler of the Bone Quarter in the CC world and Bryce and Hunt went to meet with him in HOSAB.
I collectively lost my shit and was like OMG OMG OMG and had NOONE to talk to about it bc my bookclub has no read it yet!!!! Gah!!!
Hahaha all of the fandom at like 1am or whenever we all finished it went through this 😂. I love that it’s a universal freak out across the world
So my thoughts was that Bryce and Rheun are descendants of Rhsyand/Feyre and someone from the Autumn Court. Maybe the Rhysand/Feyre grandchild marries into the Autumn Court. I got the impression since Bryce and Rhysand are carrying the same sword that the events leading up to Crescent City was definitely a post-Rhysand/Feyre era potentially. Autumn Court tried to invade the Crescent City world and got stuck.
I temporarily blanked on Terresan for a while mainly because I zeroed in on the wolf shifters more than the other shifters. The Spring Court (I know you don't like thinking about them, especially Tamlyn but this is important) can shift into animals ESPECIALLY wolves and so I had thoughts that Danika could have descended from the Spring Court that followed through too. Especially when you consider the whole 'mates' aspect being very important for the wolves just like it is for the fae.
Then again I did wonder if Danika's sword could be Damocles from the Terresan world. So maybe Danika is a decedent from Aedion/Lysandra child.
Fury reminds me of Amren, could it be possible she actually is having regained some immortality and shifting ability in between series? Just noping out of the nonsense her siblings are doing and just enjoying life with her newfound Court of Dreams that is Bryce, Juniper, Danika, and now the ever growing collection of male strays Bryce seems to be collecting in her flat.
Hunt's story (unknown father and abandoned poor mother) kind of reminds me of Cassian. You know history likes to repeat itself...
And finally, I'm not sure Elain will turn evil. I just think she's going to firmly put her foot down one day and shock everyone into obeying her. She'll just remind everyone exactly WHOSE sister she really is (mostly Nesta's).
Oooh I love all of this. I’m pretty sold the shifters are still from Erilea though because the dude said they took two types of fae from two different worlds. Who knows though! And I agree about Elain, I don’t think she’ll actually go evil and I think she’s going to be super powerful. I just WANT her to go evil.
I am so confused I asked about reading the Cresent City books and if I needed to read any of the others to be able to follow the story and was told no. But the way you speak they all in some way feed into one another.
before hosab came out, we all thought you didn't need to read the other series. but with the ending of hosab (while you still don't need to read the other series), you'll probably enjoy it a lot more cause of characters from different series connecting. kinda like marvel movies, you can watch em individually but you'll understand way more if you've watched everything

wait im kinda late to watching these theory videos because i just finished hosab HOWEVER the theory about elain remaining single/ uninterested in anybody is probably going to be false. very few, if any to my recollection, of SJM's main to secondary characters end up without a romantic partner (whether that be gay, straight, or lesbian). SJM loves her pairings too much to leave her alone, i'd be very surprised to see her end up as the single sister. as for her turning evil, that's a possibility that SJM could use her so-far innocent and good personality for but maybe elain will be important to the series in another way.
as for a TOG crossover as well, it might be too much material packed in one book for even SJM to fit into CC3. she said in her talk with katherine webber that CC3 is already her biggest book so far, or so she says it's quite massive, and that she knows she has a lot of loose ends to start bringing to a tied close. i feel like if the possibility of a TOG crossover to happen, it would be in a CC4 book because I've also read stuff that SJM has 7 books planned for CC. not sure how accurate that info is, however it would make sense since so far CC is building up to be a TOG kinda book series, particularly with the scope of things happening. so i highly doubt we'll see Aelin or anyone in CC3 or IF we do, probably as a cliffhanger to lead into CC4
Hunt has been described as having similar characteristics/ animalistic tendencies i guess??? to the Fae for Hunt not to be related to the fae in some way and his dad is definitely the key to his ancestry.

I was under the impression that because Elain is "mated" with Lucien, who is NOT Illyrian, that the special anatomy wasn't needed.
we keep getting the hints to Hunts lineage throughout Crescent City, we know he has a connection to the Hel, and Jesiba and Aidas talked about it in the epilogue of the first book, also Bryce keeps comparing him to this lighting fae god, so my theory is that he is son of one of the Hel prince's, maybe it's Hades and Persephone situation idk...

I've seen multiple theories that people keep having on Brice and Hunt not truly being mates. But if that is untrue and they are makes this made me really think of who would be as Azriel mate. What if its actually lidia because of the theory that she is a descendant of Aelin and Rowen. Azriel and Lidia would be flame and shadow.

Maas has a big thing about 3, we have three worlds. Three main characters Aelin, Chaol, Dorian and Fayre, Nesta, and Elaine. But where are the are they in CC? We definitely have Bryce, you could argue Danika but I don't think so because she hasn't actually been IN CC. I think it will be Hypaxia and the new wolf female alpha. Thoughts?
Okay multiverse space/time stuff- I think that there is two ways the world's can be looked at.
#1 Time --- all separate stories are at very different times because TOG clearly happened 'first' because Aelin closed the gates, I think the gods were the asteri on her world and they got stuck because that gate had the three wryd slivers cut out. I think ACOTAR is in the middle because of the technology that the humans have and the gates are definitely closed in that world. CC is the most modern and the gates are trying to be reopened. Also I think ACOTAR Fae are the ancestors of CC Fae which is why Ruhn and Rys look so similar but they arent closely related. In TOG it's stated that all the players are brought back.
#2 Space --- even though they are separate timelines they are all are either right on top of each other or literally within the same space so they can still interact at the same time. Again in TOG Aelin is told other worlds are right there, she could be at the bottom of someone's ocean, also when she creates the key her body doesn't physically leave she's just able to access the other worlds in the space.
What are the asteri? They seem valg like because they feed off others. And in TOG Maeve tells Aelin a story about her ancestors traveling worlds, is the Valg world the asteri home world? Or are they just another victim world that learn asteri secrets? Or even crazier is valg world the most modern world after CC and the asteri are completely defeated. Are the valg are what's left and Maeve, the future heir of the asteri, traveling to TOG is what jump starts their defeat in a never ending time loop??
Theories on upcoming plot: I agree Elaine is going to be a huge character. I think she is going to put her foot down (for Azrial) and not allow her sisters to continue to baby her. I originally thought she would unite the courts or the fae with the human queens but now I think she's going to help coordinate the 3 worlds against the asteri. Because she is the middle child and middle children are know for keeping the peace and working with others. And don't forget Elaine not Fayre killed King Hybern.
I know a lot of people hate it but I want her to be with Azrial. We don't know if Nesta didn't change Elaine's body at the same time because if anyone would pick up on Elaine not liking Lucian and preferring Azrial is Nesta. She just told Cassian about herself because he was worried but Nesta is a lockbox so she wouldnt say anything about Elaine but she might make sure she had the option.
The last thing that's always bugged me is the general theme of all Maas books is down with gods, choice, autonomy etc yet she has fated mates. Don't get me wrong I LOVE it but doesn't seem to fit. In ACOTAR we get views of how that doesn't create a happy ending and I personally believe in CC Hunt and Bryce weren't mates but chose each other and it snapped into place which is why it seem weird to people because we didn't have the 'signs.' So I think having mates but them choosing others and it being just as powerful as fated Aelin and Rowan will round it everything. So I think Gywn and Azrial will be mates but endgame will still be Azrial and Elaine.
That being said, I'm sure what ever happens with Elaine I will love it because Sarah Maas. She could probably write a backstory for Erawan and I would end up liking him.
Elaine is the youngest sister. Nesta is the middle, I think.
So I made the terrible mistake of finishing HOSAB the night before an early day at work. My brain was exactly like this video, going 100 mph after reading that last chapter.
I first had the thought that the princes of Hel had to be related to the Valg princes, but the Hel guys seem so much chiller than the Valg.
I was also trying to think about the line where the Asteri told Bryce that her ancestors had a similar scar like a star. I can't remember anyone that we've encountered in the Maas-verse that has a scar like that.
My number one theory is that Aelin's planet might have been the one the Asteri abandoned.

I think elain is bisexual becuase of her previous relationship and engagement to the human lord. Or she just made that agreement out of selfish reasons. But she seemed so heartbroken when he disowned her after the caldren Incident.
why would elain want anything to do with lucien? I agree that elain will have a big part in the upcoming book and the prison stuff and 8th court.

I just finished house of sky and breath and screamed as well, and then listened to the last chapter again. Screamed some more. Then I came back to your video, and screamed again. Your Amren / Asteri theory blew my mind. No I’ve ordered the throne of glass boxed set because I need to get up to speed before Sarah’s next book. I just started with the ACOTAR series last year and was hooked, and started reading Cresent city right after. I skipped throne of glass because it’s more YA, but now I want to know everything.

fun fact, we don t know Rhys s full name or rather his moms family name . so it might be something we also see in CC like Rhun''s mom's family name. Plus there is all that story about thea being high queen of the dusk court and follow the asteri into CC world with pelias and her 2 daughters. the theory is that one them remained in CC and bryce is a descendant of her and she is the one with the starsword while the other daughter went back to ACOTAR world with truth teller before thea closed the rifts.
