I’m not sure you’ll see this, but I just have to say, you are so strong and you are not alone! I have been dealing with such a similar thing, and just these past few weeks ended up at the hospital with a “panic attack”. I have been fighting my anxiety my whole life but these past few months have been exceptionally hard and I really didn’t want to take medication. I finally got on medication after the hospital because like you, I can’t imagine living like that any more. I also hope you know that your books are genuinely one of the things that pull me out when it gets bad. I have never connected to a book like I have Acotar. It is the most beautiful thing and just brings me pure joy when reading it. I have planned to get a tattoo that says “Don’t let the hard days win.” Anyways, I just hope you know you’re not alone, and that I am thankful for the beautiful worlds you create to help pull me out when I get down. ~ Another Mama

I know this is 3 years ago but I wanted to say thank you for not only the books that I’m so in love with I haven’t been able to stop rereading them for months since I found them but also for the trust and courage to talk about your mental health journey. It’s so important for influential ppl to speak to mental health. I’m absolutely convinced that Cassian is modelled off of Josh. Cass is sweet and kind and a caretaker of the ppl he loves and it would seem Josh is too. I hope the men around him learn what it is to be a good man. It’s really beautiful. I am sure ppl tell Sarah she is lucky to have you but I don’t think it’s luck so much and knowing what and who is good for you. The universe may have put you in each others paths but you chose each other. I love it. I want to gush about everything in your verse but I’m sure you get a lot of that and I’m not really a gusher. I will say you are a fantastic fantasy write Sarah. Outstanding. I put your books up with GRRM and Tad Williams for world building, characters, and story telling. I am still fascinated with the worlds. I miss the characters when I finish a series and have to back to them. The dialog is like listening to friends. Just outstanding! I have and am going through really bad anxiety as well and I have really enjoyed reading about feyre and her struggles and all the quotes like the one above have really help me in my struggle with anxiety. I find it so endearing and relatable around 43min as you talk about your mental health and how you feel you are able to rationalize it and cope with it until you just could NOT. I absolutely applaud you. Finding help is so fucking hard, and your books has helped me, so no matter what others say, i am SO JOYFUL that you are an author and are able the express & write these lovely stories.
Sarah I honestly am so grateful for you. I sincerely appreciate you publicly talking about therapy, there is such a stigma about it and it really shouldn't be.

As a single mom myself, I want to say thank you for acknowledging single parents. I’m a writer as well and there are days when getting any writing done is impossible. Especially now that we are in quarantine and my kids are home constantly.
