I drove my 2005 Ford Mustang GT for over 2,000 in 2 days, mostly 75 MPH. I used 3 ounces of Lucas every fill up. MPG increased from 20 MPG to 22 MPG. The car ran great for an old Ford with 157,000 miles. The Lucas treatment saved me 10 gallons of fuel and cleaned the fuel system.

I don't use it to boost MPG but to keep the fuel pump and injectors lubed up.
I know some people use 2 cycle oil as a fuel system look but that will slowly ruin your catalytic converter.

I have a 2012 bmw x5 with the n55 engine and a custom tune. on average i get about 350 miles on a full tank(20 gallons). With the Lucas complete fuel treatment I get 410 miles on a full tank. I buy the 1 quart size bottle and i get 4 fills out of it. It pays for itself almost 4 times over.

I ve been using twice 3 oz of 32 oz bottle of fuel treatment with injector cleaners & fuel conditioners every fill up to 1/2 gas tank which was about 9 gallons. It has increased the horse power & gas mileage immediately right after the second use of 3 oz of 32 oz bottle because it has fuel conditioners in it. 5.25 oz small bottle did not increase gas mileage at all but increased horse power.

It all depends on the specific needs and condition of your vehicle. It’s highly effective helping cold starts on older vehicles. It certainly help a clogged up system get better overall flow and thus help MPG but if your engine is already fairly clean it won’t magically produce more MPG

Personally I would do a few things differently. Hwy mpg stays pretty constant since more rpms makes more compression anyways so the fact this stuff adds compression would be more helpful to see it improve idle and low speed driving. city mpg and mixed driving would be a better test. I would like reccomend maybe a sound test on the engine, this stuff does add some lubricity to the top end and if you have a port injected vehicle it is supposed to help the valve seats and the valve itself seals on a thin layer of Lucas making it quieter, wear less, and better compression. I'm not gonna defend this, I think MMO works better than this, but it's got credibility to its name still being a Lucas product. I'd say this stuff is more recommended for really old worn out vehicles but the effects are more noticeable on let's say "sporty engines" like some Honda k20s and ford mustang v8s it perks them up alot but on my old Chevy silverado and this 4runner, they kind of run the same no matter what. They don't really react to much and will run the same no matter how old and worn out. It's weird but that's what I notice

Any additive you add to your fuel tank needs to be added to a tank that is no more than 1/2 full so that the additive can be diluted when more gas is added. The amount of additive you add is based upon the capacity of the tank. The additive then disperses and the ratio of gas to additive is proper when the tank is full.
