    Good video! I use Lucas injector cleaner, maybe, 2x a year with a tank of gas to help clear the fuel injectors tips, but I dont believe in most additives, and I think if you use them too much, it can be harmful to your engine. I have been in direct communication with Lucas about this product and there is a savings if you buy the big bottle. However it is also a less concentrated mixture which is why it’s cheaper. People think the low price is because it’s a bulk buy. But it’s not the case. These smaller bottles are more expensive but are also stronger. But either way I don’t recommend it. Thanks for watching. Let’s think about this. I did this experiment on a 4 cylinder equinox. It’s a 65 liter tank. Besides What mid size suv do you know of that holds 40 gallons. Even a 3500 hd truck only holds 36 gallons. In Canada we measure In liters. So maybe rethink your statement lol. Please don’t assume everyone measure in gallons. Thanks for coming out though.

    The other thing is to maybe go by the odometer and divide it by how many gallons. Sometimes the computer isn't really accurate, but if it is, at least you'll know
    Also you'll have to reset the average every fill up or it'll include miles from before

      This is kind of what I was thinking as well.
      Some cars will automatically reset the "average MPG" when you fill up (here in the US), or at least all of mine have. But it definitely isn't something you should assume happens when doing tests like this.
      If that 9.2l is based on the last 10,000km or more, a couple of tanks isn't going to change it unless you're changing fuel economy significantly.

    To get the full effect of these gas additives you need to drive hard. That's to occasionally floor on acceleration and up hill driving, then drive easy on the next fill up and your gas mileage should be more.

    I've had the opposite outcome, however I drive a diesel. Makes sense though, for a petrol you're putting an oily substance into a fuel that is not oily, whereas diesel is supposed to provide the fuel system with lubrication so maybe that's why it seems like a different result?

      @BillOfAllTrades2016  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m guessing you just “believe it’s working” Judging by the fact that you call it a Cadillac converter, and by the fact you put 12 times the recommended dose into your tank. Small 155 ml container states put entire 155 ml contents in a full tank. Bulk jug states put max 150ml in full tank. You put a half gallon which is equal to just shy of 1900ml. I’m guessing you didn’t remove your converter before to take some pictures and follow up with pictures after the cleaning to prove that it actually cleans. I don’t mean to be rude or anything… just seems like you don’t know what you are doing.

    • @BillOfAllTrades2016

      Because before the experiment it used 9.2 liters of fuel for every 100 km driven. After it was using 10 liters of fuel for every 100 km driven. Meaning it consumes .8 liters more fuel per 100 km

    • @neil78b
      @neil78b ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BillOfAllTrades2016Maybe explain it better on video because there are some Americans watching and our system shows MPG(Miles per gallon) so we naturally see a higher number means better. Same as if yours said KM/L(Kilometers per Liter.) It’s just weird to see is show how many Liters was used versus how many KM were driven per Liter.

    • @BillOfAllTrades2016
      @BillOfAllTrades2016  ปีที่แล้ว

      I literally said it uses 9.2 liters per 100 km then I literally said it increased to 10 liters per 100 kilometers. Liters per 100 km only means one thing no matter where you are from. It means how many liters of fuel it uses for every 100 kilometers driven. Therefore meaning it now uses .8 liters of fuel more per 100 I’m driven. Maybe you are confused at the units of measurement. People are also confused because of the volume of fuel I put in because it’s measured in liters not gallons. Even though the pump says liters right on it. I speak in the units of measurement I was taught here in Canada. My channel does say I’m from Canada. Personally if I see units like KG, Miles, Yards, etc I just google the conversion. I don’t request people in other countries to post in units that I’m used to using. I do understand that Americans may find my units confusing but when you are watching videos you can’t assume everyone lives in the USA. TH-cam is worldwide my friend. Most people will post videos or posts in the units they use in their country. Thanks for watching. Hope this clears things up a bit. And I hope there is no offense received by my reply. Just being straight up honest with you.
