    Science in my opinion is over rated as the ultimate source of all knowledge. It is presented as the final authority on all truth, but actually is limited in scope. It is restricted to the physically observable universe. But my life experience has convinced me that the unseen is just as real, even though it can lay outside the jurisdiction of modern science.

      It is not limited to the observable universe, it is limited to the measurable universe. That comes from its definition. And that is not a bad thing. Specifically, because of that the scientific method has established millions and millions of now unquestionable truths. The fact that right now we don't have a way to measure this "mystic" effects doesn't mean that they are going to be out of the scope of science forever. This is just a temporal limitation.

    One second on meditation and all we call science become nothing. when there is no separation between the one who knows and the known, when all around us are ourselves expressing our inner side, ... the knowledge intuited by the wise rishis is an incorruptible legacy but also inaccessible until it is practiced and practiced and practiced, now and now, and ever now and forever now. Thank you ! Namastê!

    Yes, you mention just a few of our terminology in Clinical Psychology. Very good. I always like to keep the psychological jargon simplified to the most important and global constructs: 1) Acceptance or 2) Resistance. All Coping mechanisms and Defenses mechanisms will fit simply fall under 1) Acceptance or 2) Resistance. Very wonderful video that you made for the everyone. Thank you.

    Thank you, infinitely! I was experiencing a difficult end to my day. When my day feels dissatisfactory, and my mind goes spiralling, it is often most hard to stop to watch "some person talks on something." . But after a few sentences I managed to listen attentively. And when I felt distracted, I called my mind back to your narration. You catch me up when you explained there is control over our expectation from people. It clicked like: " Yes, I need a sense of limit for what humanbeings can/ can not do!" Then I started to see fear and anxiety behind the behaviours that felt hostile to me. There is no malicious entitiy after the deed, it is just an anxious, frightened or worried human being.

      Christian missionaries appropriating Hinduism and Yoga. Same post I have seen on dozens of other videos. Evangelists should be ashamed of their expansionist tendencies. Please stop abusing, misrepresenting and appropriating our culture. Hinduism does not have missionaries, that does not give the right to Christian missionaries to manipulate people by creating facade about our culture. PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE. There is nothing Christian about what you're doing.

From my experience it seems that people have children (whilst living in such a low state of consciousness) to continue their materialistic lineage so to speak (pass on their assets) etc. What is the viewpoint of a yogi on having children in the modern era?

    What is the difference between denial and suppression of emotions?

    • @MeditationSteps
      @MeditationSteps  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you suppress, you recognize the emotion but do not allow it to express. When you deny, you deny that you at all have such an emotion.
