I always loved the stance of those Case garden tractors. I grew up watching dad plow our driveway out with a Cub Cadet 149 and a 48” front blade. I think these garden tractors have a lot of character, and I love seeing them used like you’re doing here. Great video! - Chad
It pushes really well for the size. Those things have so much more steel in them than new "garden tractors" at the box stores. Awesome. Keep up the good work!
Good evening Sir, great garden tractor action ( I know that Joseph, Garden tractor boy ) would love to be driving and pushing that snow 😉👍👌 Great team work and tractor driving skills👌👍💪😉 Cheers 🍻
These are great snow plowing machines! I have a '79 Case 444 and I have used it for years on my very very large driveway. With just chains, its unstoppable. My '52 Ford 8N with a 6 foot back blade will do it faster but its far more relaxing with the Case.
Great comment Alex. I agree, they are incredible machines. We have several videos showcasing both the 448, and my sons 220. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
That pushes good with out chains. My 446 with ags wouldn’t do that. My father use to say, you gotta have some where to put the next storm. So you gotta keep things cleaned up.
I have a weight box that can go on the 3 point. The three point lift is on the same circuit/line as the plow lift though. Without a selector valve they raise and lower together. The 3 point would drag through the snow. The tires are already loaded, and my property is pretty flat. Haven’t needed chains. Thanks 🙏
The Case 448 is a fantastic snow clearing machine, I was impressed by how much it could push. I noticed that the front wheels were slipping a couple of times, do you think tri-ribs or front chains would make a difference. Thanks for making the video, it was great to watch
Thanks Joseph. The V61’s are a good all around tire, but snowblower tires like Sno-Hogs or X-trac’s seem to do better in snow as far as steering. They’ll be featured on my sons 220 in an upcoming video.
True. I’ve used chains in the past. I also have a Kioti with an 8 foot power angle plow. I just like using the old GT’s when I can. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏
It starts pretty decent. I think having a higher cranking amp battery and keeping it on a trickle charger are both worthwhile things to do if you aren’t already

Thanks Chad. I love the old classic gt’s as well. Super tough and reliable. Thanks for watching

Thanks Logan. A different mentality back then for sure. Thanks for watching
That's really a nice old tractor.
Thank you David. Appreciate the kind words
Beautiful machine.... Pushed alot of snow and made it look easy... Nice Job!
Thanks Mike. The 448 is an awesome machine.
Nice tractor !!
Thank you sir
Been plowing snow with my 95 Simplicity Sovereign since I purchased it new.

Yes sir. If I could send some of it his way I most certainly would. Thanks for the kind words 🙏

Very true sir. Thanks for watching.
Finally, someone who actually uses their tractors on TH-cam and doesn't just show them off.
Thank you sir. These old beasts were designed to work. No show tractors here. 👍
A gravity box on the rear three point hitch, chains, and beet juice in the rear tires would make it perform a lot better than it does now.

@@BuildALotAcres quick tip, on a turf tire, rap it around with some #40 rollerchain
@@maxwell6774 good advice sir. Thanks
@@maxwell6774 or any spare/old chain from a atv/motorcycle.

If you guys had chains on that tractor, you could widen the blade up to 5ft and really get some snow moved.

That things impressive
Thanks Jeff. It sure is.
How does it start in the cold? My ingersol 4020 will not start below 20 degrees
It starts pretty decent. I think having a higher cranking amp battery and keeping it on a trickle charger are both worthwhile things to do if you aren’t already
Is the lift hydraulic? And does the blade angle from the seat?
The lift is hydraulic. The blade angles manually. You have to do it from off the tractor
@@BuildALotAcres ah ok thought it looked like that. Would be nice if you could add a way to change from the seat, hydraulic or mechanical.
What year is that tractor?
1986
