Your Case is a fantasic looking machine, it is in great condition. I don't like it either when people cut the hood, you did a great job fixing the hood. The LED lights look great and I like your upgrades
Very nice! Hood cutting common on these because (I think) of the price of original mufflers. I cut my 446 hood years ago, have an older twin muffler style, & when "restoring" it last year had to fix my own stupid move, LOL. Mine is a 1972 bought new by me. Messing with these "small" tractors gets in your blood, like you I have multiple brands.
I agree about the SnoCaster Noel. The large opening kind of just "pukes" out the snow. Then again, at least it very seldom clogs. My Sears SS14 with a smaller opening definitely throws the snow farther, despite being 4 less horsepower. There was a fella on the Case/Ingersoll forums named Grummy who made a custom square chute for his hi wheeler. It threw a much more concentrated stream of snow and much further than the OEM chute. You did an incredible job fixing the hood. I wouldn't have known looking at the outside. En Fo is definitely Fordson weights. I believe the Majors used them.
Thanks Case. I’ve been toying and thinking about an 6” round opening like other garden tractors. My John Deere thrower is 46” and basically the same as a Case thrower. It’s opening is 6” and It works good. Never seen a fella named Grummy. And yes. Both of my Case throwers rarely clog up. But none of my other ones do either. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks Dave. That was nasty old wood. Hehe. I’ll have to start splitting poplar, or white birch, or cherry and maybe silver maple. Those would be much easier for an old fella like me. 🤭 Thank you very much for your comment on the Case garden tractor. How are you getting along with your nice trailer load of free wood. ?

I have to use my steel wedge and sledge hammer 1/2 the time 🥴OUTSTANDING one hrs fitness each night doing it 💪💪👍👍😇😇 The question is, I'm going to go back and made an other trailer of free firewood and having fun with that puppy dog 🤔I found a place where I can easy pill up that firewood ( same place than last winter ). I took someone’s advice and bolted rubber to the outer edge of the auger on the snowcaster screws to ensure as close a seal as possible. It threw snow pretty well before. It’s even better now
I got the lenses from a company called, I Save Tractors, they are located in Maine, USA. The bulbs you can get from most auto parts store, I believe. The bulbs I got were given to me. Have a great day Jason.

Sure does. When hurricane Fiona came thru and broke a lot of trees, it was this tractor that hauled them to the field for processing.
