    Just found channel from your post on 425,445,455 Facebook page, great video! 👍 I live just east of Louisville and we had about the same snow/sleet amounts. Just a little sad my 455 is out of action right now with a leak in the transaxle and no garage to work on it.... Go ahead and get the V-61's, you'll love them! See you in the next video!

      Good to hear from a fb member and in the same state! Too bad your machine was down, but maybe we'll get another surprise. If you have smallish hands, I've replaced diff lock seals and the seals behind the swash plate shaft with transaxle still in the tractor. Much easier than pulling the axle.

    Gotta set your shoes higher and get heavy duty round ones. Surprised there was any gravel left after that plow job. Build a snow base then drop the shoes a touch lower and your set for the season.

    Nice video. I'd like to get a better look at your rear weight bracket. I've got a '93 425 with a Buford Bucket on the front. I have V61's on the front and anytime I put down pressure on the bucket while pushing snow, it's hard to steer too.

      I'd like to get the V61's but they are expensive for such small tires! I'll get a video of the weight bracket. It was a home-made 3 pt hitch, but then I got a Kubota BX25 tractor with a real 3pt hitch and this one turned into a simple weight bracket.

      @@NealORussa I put the V61's on my 425 because of the Buford Bucket. I could get them in a 6 ply rating which I felt was a good idea with the bucket on the front, plus they look cool!! LOL!!

    Hey Neal, great video! I have almost the exact same set up and it works great here in Michigan. You got me on to those rear tires in your maintenance video - thank you. I got them on now and they're $150 well spent. So far I'm doing great with no chains and 4 suitcase weights on my asphalt drive.
    Another question for you with the AWS - do you ever get any wobble at higher speed? I get a bit with mine but it sounds like it might be normal on pavement. Thanks again!

      Hey thanks for the comment! Yes i really like these tires too and chains probably wouldn't be necessary but we got about 1/2" of ice a day before the snow came, so I threw them on for good measure. Glad to hear they're working well for you too.
      Yes, i do get high speed wobble on pavement, but I don't feel it in on the lawn. It could probably be fixed if you did a lot of pavement driving by adjusting the toe in or out on the front and rear wheels. Also, my 455 AWS had some loose joints when i bought it, so maybe just double check and tighten down all the linkage bolts for the steering, there's a lot of them!

    Hey Neal. What's the model number of your blade? I have the 425 as well and looking for the correct blade attachment.

      @NealORussa  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Andre! The serial tag on the blade just says 54" blade and hitch says front hitch. The serial numbers are similar to this auction here. www.ebay.com/itm/John-Deere-425-445-455-54-Snow-Blade-Snow-Plow-Quick-Hitch-Attachment-/265331699809?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

      I've seen a lot of big youtuber's doing that so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'll try to keep it shorter next time.
